The appt was scheduled for Tuesday am, however, I received a call Monday evening around 8:30, saying they could be here in 15 min and conduct the service then. I was happy to hear this and he was here around 8:45 pm. The young man got here and on entering the front door placed the blue plastic covers on his shoes. He asked me where the problem drain was and I showed him to my kitchen as well as to the basement where the drain pipes were located. He wrote up what he would be doing and showed me the forms and asked me to sign the agreement. Since there had been an on-line $75 discount he applied that to the price. He went out to his truck and got the equipment and proceeded to flush the drain and was able to complete the project within 30 minutes. The results were wonderful. When he ran a sink full of water, on removing the stopper, the water disappeared down the drain immediately. He was a personable young man and very easy to converse with.

We had a fantastic experience! The operator was super helpful and empathetic, and was very upfront about the process. The plumber Wayne was great! Right on time, courteous, and professional. He explained everything up front and kept me in the loop the whole time.

New Year's Eve emergency service. Water / sewer line was not draining, and water was backing up into downstairs bathroom. Roto Rooter had someone on the area, and they came within an hour. The rep unclogged the drain through the basement shower. It took about half an hour. Problem solved quickly. We were able to use a $50 coupon from the yellow pages. The rep and the person on the phone were both friendly.

Got out the same day, needed extra cable because our yard is so long. They ended up getting another person with more cable a couple hours later and kept updating me on the time frame. Very professional. Also, got a $50 coupon off the site

The process went very well considering that my emergency was on a Saturday afternoon the week before Christmas, I was impressed with Biran's efforts to keep my home clean by covering the wheels of his equipment and carrying his shoes. The whole process took about an hour. He explained other preventative efforts I could take to avoid a similar problem in the future, one of which I may use. All in all, this was a good experience, or as good of an experience as one could hope for involving a clogged drain.

All in all it went real well. They were very professional and got the job done in 30 minutes. The drain works great now and they gave me some liquid I can use to help prevent further problems.

He cleared a slow moving drain in our basement. The drain is the laundry tub & washer. He cleared 20 feet. He was very considerate and clean. He also made sure that he didn't leave a mess when he was finished. He offered me additional services, but didn't over sell it.

Very well. Technician (Jeffrey, #2205) was at our house for 2 1/2 hours working on this. Was thinking it was a simple job of snaking the drain lines, but after running out 70' of snake to no effect, he went to Plan B. researched for additional clean outs, found one in my son's basement bedroom and went to work on that as well. Finally determined that the years (maybe decades) of kitchen sludge and lint from the laundry line were combined into an impenetrable amount of sludge in the lines. Normal snake did nothing to move that stuff out. Finally went ahead with a water-jet treatment that cleared the line after 3-4 attempts. He put a lot of work into clearing that line; completely professional, and cleaned up the vast majority of the mess before leaving. I was very pleased with the service we received.

He came in diagnosed the problem quickly and was out in less than an hour and we had a functioning kitchen sink and saved dinner!

It went great!!!! The sink was totally clogged. Pete the service provider was amazing. He was punctual, pleasant, very efficient, and last but not the least he knew what he was doing. The problem was resolved like it never has been before. It's like a new kitchen sink, what a pleasure. I would not use anyone other than Roto Rooter for these services. I love them!!! They were charging over $235 an hour and I called up to complain, and they refunded me a $100. The job was fine. They fixed the problem. They are very high priced and I feel that it might be best to negotiate price ahead of time. Over $200 an hour was high, they were only there for two hours and it was over $500 and like I said, when I complained they refunded me $100. I wouldn’t use them again. As far as the work was concerned, they did the work.

After several other plumbers gave up, we hired American Leak Detection to do a smoke test to try to isolate the leak in the system. Guy named Travis came out - very, very good and nice, to boot. For $350 he isolated the problem somewhere in the area behind the skanky toilet in the boiler room (through the wall where the laundry chute is). Then a few days later, we had Ray, from Roto-Rooter, come and tear the wall apart to try to find the leak. He couldn't find it but was very thorough - it was just a really hard problem to find. That took about 4.5 hours of prime plumber time! So we scheduled Travis and Ray to come out together - that happened today. They isolated the problem down to a little 1.5" lead pipe that was hidden up in the wall that apparently USED to be connected to some old plumbing. During the previous remodel, they should have taken that lead pipe out but they just left it open. When they tested it by putting duct tape over the end of that pipe, the smoke went mostly away. They worked together very nicely and both companies (American Leak Detection and Roto-Rooter) were exceptionally accommodating to schedule time TOGETHER - that can't be easy! I was so appreciative that they did what was needed to find the problem together - exceptional service. And to my surprise, neither Travis nor Ray charged me anything for the 2nd visit! They really cared about the problem and did what needed to be done to find a solution, even though it wasn't straightforward and required coordination between two different companies. Very pleased.

Both providers were friendly, very timely, helpful and informative.

couldn't find any problem, so will need to re-schedule the smoke test along WITH the roto-rooter plumber. Plumber Ray gave me his phone number and said when we get the smoke test scheduled, he will make sure he is here so the two of them can find the leak and fix it. I appreciated that I could call him directly vs having to go through a switchboard, which would complicate things.

The plumber was exceptionally nice and did an excellent job ! Would highly recommend ! Very punctual too !

The work was great - I am happy with it. However, given the services provided, the price is not justified. The price was my only complaint with this company. Now I know.

He was very friendly. Came in on time, explained my options, no pressure. Got the job done and was out the door.

It cost us $100 when all was said and done because of our new home warranty. I liked that I could call them at 11 pm when I found the issue. They were good at first but then they tried to come back and ask us for some more money because their technician mischarged it. The work they did was good.

They have been excellent. I can't say enough good about those guys. They were super professional. Actually had the manager and the tech both out and they were both professional.

They quickly found the problem and cleaned it out. He was neat and didn't track into the house. Everything was great, but I did think it was a little expensive.

He was prompt, punctual, knowledgeable,courteous and unclogged the kitchen drain with a snake. He brought his own "booties" which he wore in the house. All in all, it was a seamless, positive experience. It was great getting someone to come out on a SUNDAY on a holiday weekend. They don't charge extra for weekends or holidays.

Bill arrived on time and ready to do the work. He was cheerful and wasted no time getting the jobs done by disconnecting both the old dishwasher and gas range. There was a delay with the delivery and he used his time efficiently by going to do another job and came back when the new appliances arrived. I can sing enough praises for his work, which was also neat and tidy. He was a professional through and through, and I'd use the services again. Thank you!

Found our sewer line was clogged on a Saturday morning. Called Roto-Rooter ("RR") after calling another plumbing company first. The gentlemen on the phone from RR was very helpful and to my surprise they had an appointment window open from 1-4 the same day. It was around noon when I called. The first plumbing company I called didn't have an appointment window, they would just show up "sometime tonight". I promptly cancelled my so called appointment with the other company after talking to RR. The operator from RR called at about 2pm to let me know the technician, Robbie would be to our place in about a half hour. Robbie showed up right on time, and I showed him to the basement utility room where we had the drain problem. He explained the plan of attack, tested to see if it was the floor drain that was clogged or if it was the main line (which it was). Robbie told me the cost to snake out the pipe upfront, was going to be $289-all inclusive, as long as it was completed in an hour and a half ( which it was), and was less than 100 feet of pipe (which it was). He went to work snaking out the pipes. It took him about an hour and 15 minutes. Afterwards, he educated us on ways for this not to happen again, offered us an additional service to have our sewer line scoped with a camera, and sold us some drain cleaner to help with other household clogs. Overall, he was very professional. Total cost ended up being about $297, with a $50 off coupon from the RR website, tax, and the bottle of drain cleaner.
