Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

The rotor rooter servicemen , Jim R. And Paul T. We're great. Very professional, informative, and skilled. The job took quite a while but they took great care to protect the area from any mess and also did a great cleanup. I was very impressed with the service and would call them again.

On a Sunday evening we noticed a problem with the basement toilet not flushing properly. We contacted Roto Rooter via phone and a plumber was dispatched to our house. As promised, the plumber called us 30 minutes before arrival. Shortly after he called, the drain in the basement floor began backing up, so the plumber arrived to a situation he was not expecting. Nevertheless, he quickly went to work and cleared out the sewer line from the interior of the house to the street, solving the problem. Through this whole process, the plumber was polite and explained everything he was going to do. He took particular care to be neat and clean in his work (tarp in work area, covered boots with disposable coverings, etc.). The price for work performed was extremely fair given the Sunday Evening service. The prompt dispatch and arrival saved our house from significant damage due to the backup. We are very pleased with the service provided.

My bathroom shower drain was clogged after I had construction and tile work done. The drain was clogged with sand and grout. The technician Aaron arrived promptly and was very courteous. He explained about estimate pricing and the work he was going to do before beginning the job. He was able to clear the clog in a timely fashion and cleaned up the area after the job was complete.

Jeff was here within an hour. He snaked the drain from the top floor to the basement and checked that all was clear upstairs and down. It took him an hour or so to clear the blockage. The drain runs better than it has been in years! He also left the bathroom spotless so that all we had to do was put things back in the cabinet when he left.

The service was great and the technician Brian was very helpful. The main line has been cleaned and they gave me professional, unbiased recommendations to keep the main service line clean.

Our kitchen sink began to back up on both sides and nothing we did would clear it, in fact, it became completely unusable after a very short period of time. We called the 24 Hour scheduling line where 'Eugene' searched for the nearest technition and was able to have someone out between 9:00-1:00 the next morning (Sunday). We received the promised call 30-45 minutes ahead of time and the tech was at our house by 8:00 am. The tech wore covers on his shoes and had covers for the wheels of his machine as well. Very clean and respectful of our home! The tech (Adam) was extraordinarily pleasant and competent. Within a short time, we had the use of our kitchen back. Very pleasantly surprised with the professionalism of all parties involved.

Our bathtub stopped draining one evening, so we called Roto-Rooter. They gave us a service window of 9pm and 1am. John arrived around 9:30 and had the drain snaked and working again in about 30 minutes. He was professional, efficient and we appreciated the late hours! We will definitely use Roto-Rooter again.

Came promptly on a Saturday, and only charged for one hour though the work took longer.

The workers were very good. It took them about two hours to complete the job. He had to drive to pick up a part. They cleaned up when they were finished. I would tell others to compare prices with other people. For me, they worked out well. They were pretty prompt in coming. I felt like it was overpriced.

Our sewer drain stopped up the evening before Easter. Roto Rooter fixed the problem promptly and well. Our service technician, Jim R was great, thoughtful about our home and a hard worker!

Company was very professional. Called at 3:30 pm, Dennis from Roto-Rooter was there before 6:30 pm. Called 30 min before arriving as was told when I booked the appt.

I had a serious emergency with water in my basement. This company was VERY prompt and was able to identify the problem immediately. The workers were very friendly and professional and knew exactly what they were doing. They kept me informed with every detail. They accomplished the repair with minimal mess. And, even though this was a big job, they made me feel like I was in confident hands and didn't need to worry.Hooray for Roto Rooter! My "troubles went down the drain!"

We were very concerned about damage to the walls, since they were recently painted. The sun room is not very large, which contributed to our apprehension. Additionally, all this dirt and concrete needed to be hand carried out a patio door, and returned after the sewer break was repaired. New concrete was mixed on site and laid down and applied over thawed dirt that was hauled in by company truck. The hole needed to be 5 feet square due to the depth of the dig. We crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. A room with-in a room was constructed above the dig site to protect the walls and ceiling, and to keep the dust down. The entire room was sealed off from the rest of our home. Well, the entire project went extremely well. Paul was on site throughout the entire project and kept us informed as the work progressed. He displayed a high degree of professionalism throughout the entire time it took to complete the job. Because of his effort to do whatever was necessary to protect our home, we were very much relieved of any concerns we started out with. If I had to go through this ordeal again, I would definitely have Roto Rooter, Paul and his crew, do the job. I can't thank them enough.

I have used them for some time. They are always really responsive and very professional. They just really conduct themselves when they are here.

Was able set an appointment time online. I was called later for a more firm appointment window. Robbie, the tech arrived on time and was very professional, yet friendly in his demeanor. He explained everything thoroughly and worked efficiently. The appointment took 2 1/2 hours from time of arrival to the time he left. The laundry room was left as clean as it was before he started working. It had been 15 years since I had used their services. I had forgotten about it, but they had the service on record. I think that a 15 year interval in the need for their services attests to the quality of their work!

RotoRooter supervisor answered all the questions I could think of and agreed to wait for second opinion. He tentatively scheduled time for a Friday four days later. I searched Angie's list for other firms with reviews of sewer line work. I put out three calls. One firm replied immediately and arranged fiber optic exam two days after first exam. They encountered backup with blockage ~20 feet toward the street. Based on my verbal description of previous fiberoptic they made estimate of $6800 for sleeve to city sewer whether done from inside house (to be tried first) or requiring digging. All my questions were answered and tentative possibility of performing the work was offered in two days (a Friday) but preferred the following week. Several calls to both firms with questions, all of which were well answered. I had had previous experience with RotoRooter and my sister had had recent sewer work done by the other firm. I had met three employees of RotoRooter, two of whom would be scheduled as part of the work crew. I met two of the other firm's employees , one of whom would take part. Both firms could be available the following Monday, with the house sewer system unusable for overnight or four hours respectively. A third firm returned my call a couple of hours after I decided on using RotoRooter. RotoRooter arrived Monday morning with heavy equipment (if needed) and confirmed the blockage with fiberoptic. Suggested digging (cost $11500) but willing to power wash through the blockage. I asked them to cable through as per the first clearing. They did {by same person who had originally been successful). It worked. Able to 'shoot through' with 'sleeve' from house to within ~six inches of city main (66 feet). They cut out original back flow valve and installed above-floor access port, cementing in the floor opening around it. Cleanup was good. I was very impressed with how well people worked together within their areas of expertise. As part of due diligence I did go to Angie's list and reviewed grades and notes about heavy sewer work by various firms. I also Googled newspaper articles specifically about RotoRooter. I took into account my previous experience with RotoRooter specifically and my perception of personnel who would actually be doing some of the work.. I did feel some urgency regarding getting the job done. After all it had almost completely blocked off within two days of my own eyes seeing it as clear all the way to the street.

As far as we know, it's working properly. We have used Roto-Rooter in the past and they always are efficient! Because of using them in the past, I just called directly, not even thinking they would be on Angie's List. When all was said and done, paid etc. he said that "if we would like to be one of the lucky customers each week to have the service price refunded, please go online and write a review". That's when I found out they are on Angie's List!

Robbie, Tech #3430, arrived on time, asked for and listened to my description of the problem, did some investigation and testing to a**** the extent of the problem, then snaked the drain 3 times to clear it. I have lived in this house for 30 years, and have had to have this drain cleaned many times even though I have been careful to keep unwanted debris out of drains and use drain cleaners monthly. Robbie explained how the pipes are connected, and how what I was doing didn't really work. He instructed me on measures to take that will hopefully be more effective. I learned a lot, and appreciate the time he took to educate me. other companies that have cleared this drain have told me that this just has to be done periodically. Robbie said, that if I follow his instructions, the drain may stay clear or at least not have to be done so often.

I came home from work on a Friday night and needed to wash clothes. My basement had 3 inches of standing water. I didn't know what was causing the issue. I called for service and was told that I would receive a service call that night. I received a phone call about a half hour before Robbie (Tech no. 3430) came. He diagnosed the problem and then cleared the drain. All the standing water was gone. Robbie was really friendly and professional. I would call again when I need service.

Very responsive. Arrived at our house 45 minutes after our call. Knew what the issue was right away and fixed it. Thoroughly checked all plumbing for leaks. Entire appointment lasted just over 1/2 hour.

The basement drain backed up----RotoRooter answered my call and was here in about two hours. Tree roots in the main line caused the problem. It was not an easy job opening the clean-out, but the RotoRooter guy was patient, kept at it, was pleasant and polite. The price was worth it considering what he had to do to get things moving again. One of the pluses of RotoRooter is they do not charge extra for week-end or after-hour services!

It went very well. I have used Roto Rooter several times over the years and have always been very satisfied.

It ended up that my sewer pipe was broke and I also had a clog. They did refund $100 of the $250 since we thought it was a broken sewer pipe. I later found out I had two things - a clog at 26 feet and a broken pipe and 51 feet. I had two hire two different companies - one to fix the pipe and one to unclog at 26 feet. It is too bad I can't get all of my money back since they couldn't take care of the clog. I wouldn't go with them again as I found two really good companies that were able to get me a resolution.
