RICHARD HELD TREE SERVICE

Richard Held changes the name of his Company, I hired Richard Held with All Year Tree Service which is based in Pierz, MN. He also changes his phone number which is now currently 612-229-5116. I initially hired his crew of 3 to trim trees which they did easily in one afternoon and I paid them $550. Since that was done I asked about "land clearing" specifically, taking down a playhouse. They came out and removed the base and left the roof. They said they'd be out in 2 days to pick it up and since they did the majority would I pay them. Since they did the tree trimming and since they knew I was planning to use them next year, I paid them the full amount of $400. After that there was no contact from him. I called Richard Held and he said their truck broke down and would be out the following week to pick up the roof. Called him the following week and he said he had to pick up a wood chipper in Missouri and would definitely be out Thanksgiving week. I called each day after 11/21 and he did not respond to any of my phone calls. RIchard Held told me they go to Missouri and work over the winter months. He did present me with a license number when he arrived on the tree trimming job but I did not write it down. I checked with the MN Dept of Commerce and they had no license for this company. I initially contacted All Year Tree Service from a flyer that was handed out by them. They went door-to-door handing out the flyers in Blaine and C*** Rapids and spend most of their time in these areas although they told me they have done a little work in the southern suburbs. From the Flyer Richard Held's All Year Tree Service lists the following services: Tree trimming, tree removal, deadwood removal, buckthorn removal, cabling & bolting, tree sales, retaining walls, corrective pruning, shaping, brush & hedge trimming, stump grinding, lot and land clearing, brush chipping, firewood sales, landscaping. They said they have over 15 years of experienced, they are licensed and fully insured.

He's very amiable, personable, and reliable. He's very kind, thoughtful, and extremely honest. He takes care of the job without question.
