NORTHWEST LANDSCAPE

We decided to go with another company because they took too long to reply to messages in order to have them come out and provide us with a quote on the services. We like going with companies near us, and would have liked to do business with them since we have heard good things about Northwest Landscaping. However, with the weather getting warmer, we needed to get this project done ASAP.

I had NW Landscape install a Toro 8 zone irrigation system in 2005 for $2900. I now have them come out every year to blow out the system before winter and once to fix a problem. I was very happy with them when they did the install, and have been happy with them ever since. They are efficient and courteous on the phone as well as when they come out. I believe their pricing is competitive but haven't checked anytime recently because I am happy with the relationship.

The salesman and the technician were both very professional and very responsive. They knew what they were doing and how to talk about it. They installed the system in the spring of 2012 and have maintained and serviced it well since then.

Estimate was clear, and install was done as outlined in the estimate. Shawn came out the morning of the install to check the plans and mark the lawn, then the team did the rest. Install went quickly, and everything was cleaned up afterward. Only negative was that the lawn did not recover as well as I would have liked from some of the trenching (not the "in two weeks you won't be able to tell" situation). But overall, I was pleased with the work.

The crew arrived on time and got right to work. Despite the fact that it was the hottest day of the summer, the team got the job done in one day, including cleanup. They did an awesome job.

This was a fantastic experience.I called Shawn and we set up an appointment for the following week. He came out exactly when he said he would be at my house. He explained in detail what kind of sprinkler's would be installed and how long it would take his crew to do the job. And he also set a price for me. I called him the following week to set up a time for it to be installed. And at that time, I had a family emergency. Shawn said he would call me and let me know an exact date that his crew would come out.After about 2 weeks, Shawn called and said that he wanted to wait to call me because of my family emergency. We set up a date for the following week. The day it was installed, it was cold and rainy. They got about 3/4 of my yard done and had to quit because it was just to muddy. They came back 2 days later and finished the job. They were very careful about not ripping up too much of my yard. About 2 weeks later, Shawn came out and showed my how to operate the system (very simple to do) and blew it out. He also replaced a couple of the sprinkler head that he didn't like. He is very professional, and very anal! Everything has to be perfect! He is awesome. He said that he would come out next spring and again show me how to operate my system and get it up and running. I would definitely encourage anyone who is thinking about putting a sprinkler system in, call Shawn. He is the best in the business.

Bidding process was timely and efficient. Installation was done on a timely basis Very attentive to neatness and not damaging lawn

We called Sean from Northwest Landscape and set a time for him to come out to give us an estimate. Sean showed up on the day and time we planned. Sean was very professional and really knew his product. We were very impressed with the sales pitch and the quality of the Toro system they sell. We were also very impressed with the explanation of the quality of the work they do. I had received another estimate which came in much lower but I was not at all impressed with the original sales call or product and how they explained the installation process. I called up Sean and we negotiated a price that worked for me. It was still higher but I felt I was getting a quality system and installation without shortcuts. I received a "Thank You" card in the mail a few days later. We scheduled an appointment for the installation. On the day of installation they showed up a little late but did give me a heads-up the day before that they had a small job to do in the AM before my job. The installation did go good. The crew installing itwere great. Very nice and friendly. I did feel a bit rushed in getting direction on the actual Sprinkler controller. But it was late and getting dark. I did call them back and they came out the following night to go over the system more slowly. I did ask for another head to be installed for my flowerbed and they came back timely to install it. I was then able to have them adjust the some of the other heads too. Overall very pleased and would recommend them to others. So far love the system and wish I would of done it years ago.

Wonderful experience. We are new homeowners (never had a sprinkler system before), and within a month of closing on the new house, had fountains in our yard on one zone. I called the previous homeowner's irrigation company, and they couldn't see us for over 2 weeks. I called Northwest, and Mona found a cancellation to squeeze us in and give us peace of mind with a (what I believe to be) very reasonable service call price. I will be using Northwest exclusively in the future. THANK YOU!

Very prompt, professional, told me more than I wanted t know. Good quality fittings, work was done fast and a minor error was corrected quickly. Also returned o fix the line the gas company cut.

Excellent from beginning to end. Shawn came out to the house and walked through all of the specifics, both inside (plumbing & electrical needs) as well as outside (the customization of various sprinklers heads and locales). After collecting three seperate bids (I found that all were quite comparable in terms of price), I decided to proceed with Northwest because of their reputation and the quality of the product they use (Toro sprinkler heads). The day of the job, Shawn was here at the beginning of the job to map out the sprinkling system, we walked through the plan together, and then four other men stayed to complete the job. They we efficient, professional, and clean. I will recommend them to others.

Overall the experience was excellent. Sean Walshis the sales and service person and is very responsive and knowledgeable. They were slightly higher in cost than other bids but were able to provide and adequate explanation. Installation was done on time and and on budget.

We met with Sean Walsh at the end of March and were immediately impressed with his professionalism and the thorough presentation of his company's products (top line Toro) and services. Sean outlined his design for our watering needs and provided us with an easy to understand job proposal and contract. We were also very pleased to find out that he would be on site at the beginning of the work to make sure that the workers understood any special issues or concerns that we had about the installation of our new irrigation system.We accepted the proposal and scheduled the job for the first available opening. The workers (and Sean) showed up on time and the entire crew was also very professional and showed great concern for our extensively planted and landscaped property. They also took great care when working inside our house while plumbing the new 1" water line.In addition, we had a concrete sidewalk project scheduled at the same time and Northwest Landscape worked together with that contractor make sure that the concrete work would not disturb the new irrigation system lines. They finished the job right on time and explained the operation of the system fully so that we would be comfortable using is immediately.We only needed a couple of extra tweaks to get the system exactly as we wanted it, and they were out right away to make the needed adjustments.One month later we have retired our garden hoses and are enjoying the ease of having an irrigation system. And, we are extremely pleased that due to the extra care and time Northwest Landscape spent to replace any turf that was disturbed, all evidence of the extensive trenching, digging and water line pulling is completely gone and is now a lush green lawn and a perfectly watered landscape!

For start to finish Northwest Landscape did an A+ job. Shawn was the first of four bids I received on the job, all were within $200 of each other. Shawn explained in detail why their equipment was different and superior to their competition. He also told me about how the plumb the system in and how they would do it differently than most (using different diameter pipes) and why this was an advantage to me as the home owner. He also successfully explained the difference between the rotor heads they use and the what the competition uses and why his brand was better. He answered all the questions I had in my mind before I even needed to ask them. I received the bid from him in November of 2011 with the intention of installing the system in the spring of 2012. After I told them they would receive the job we agreed to talk in the spring. Their contract deposit requirements are also very friendly. A $250 deposit starts the job and the balance is due when they complete the work to your satisfaction. This is a very consumer friendly contract as some of the other contractors wanted 50% down and 50% at the start of the job, not at completion. This was unacceptable to me an eliminated one bid. Since this spring was so warm I received a call from Shawn letting me know they could install the system on 3/19 instead of the middle of April as we had originally assumed. They're crew showed up on time at 8AM and got right to work. They even made sure they found my neighbors sprinkler heads and marked them so we didn't have any overlap and so they didn't cut through his lines. They also helped the neighbor start his system to find all the heads and they fixed a minor leak he had as well. The whole installation went great! We had a 5 day old baby at home while they were installing the system and it wasn't a disruption at all. After 2 days the job was done, and it was explained to me how to work the system and to call them if I had any issues or if the system needed adjustment. I was very impressed with the whole job. Their crews are friendly and professional and don't mind questions you might have and they are happy to answer them. They also use their own crews and equipment not subcontracted workers.

Northwest Landscape came out and fertilized our lawn, and they winterized our sprinkler system.

Even though Northwest Landscaping ran into several unforeseen obstacles the budget didn't increase and the completed project turned out amazing. Also I was impressed that everyday when the crew left the site they returned it to the way they found it when they arrived. My wife and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for irrigation services in the future.

Our job was very unusual - lot shape, lot size, access to the Mississippi river, vertical rise from the Mississippi river, existance of some in-ground pipes already, aversion to automation, etc. We needed a truly custom designed and installed job. Sean was perfectly comfortable tackling the various challenges, and delivered us an estimate to provide exactly what we needed, clearly defined. His installation team had the job done in half a day, and tested each aspect of it to assure success. Minimal damage was done to the lawn in the process (I almost couldn't find the new sprinkler heads), and the old standpipes were removed. After installation, the team-lead walked me through the entire system until I was confident of operation and maintenance. All good.

We are very happy with the results. We received multiple bids and it was a tough decision. Based on our results I would be happy to refer Northwest Landscape's irrigation service.

Excellent. Tom (owner) came over next day to evaluate my defective irrigation system. He explained in detail what he would do to fix the problem. He has been doing this business for 30 yrs, and knows what he's doing. He quoted me a price, and adjusted it much lower to accomodate me. He was flexible, on time with excellent communication. Yard and landscaping were left impeccable and intact. Impressed, considering it had rained hard days earlier, and it would of been muddy. Would highly recommend them. You won't be let down!

I have nothing but good things to say about Northwest Landscape. We scheduled an appointment with Sean to explain their install process, equipment they use and an estimate. What we got was that and more...Sean explained not only their process of install, but what we should be looking for in a good sprinkler system vs a lesser quality system. He educated us on the ins and outs of irrigation installation and was able to answer any and all questions we had. He is very knowledgable and explains it in a way so anyone will understand what is involved. After we decided to go with Northwest, they were out at our house about a week or so later. They showed up around 9:30am and left by 4:30pm, having fully installed the system, tested it, cleaned up and given me a quick lesson on how to run the system (which is pretty easy I must say). The experience was awesome to say the least. I highly recommend Northwest and I will be sure to use them again for any landscaping we choose to do.

Sean was very friendly and professional when he came to give me the estimate. The installers showed up when they said they would and completed most of the work that day. They showed me how the controls worked before they left. The installers didn't realize I had paid for the pond float, so they returned to install that when requested. I feel they are available for ongoing service. I mentioned that we were having the roads replaced and wondered what to do about the sprinkler heads that might be removed or damaged. Sean assured me that they would repair/replace any parts needed. The road is not yet finished, so I'm not sure what will be needed.

The job was completed in one day. They have been very responsive in answering questions over the phone or coming out to check on concerns. We are very pleased with the company and with our Toro System

As a former Purchasing Agent, I would recommend getting at least 3 bidders. I got 4 and found that 1 of them had a very bad reputation,. All 4 I got came from Angie's list. Sean Walsh, the Sales Manager and I worked closely together and was most pleasant to deal with, on time, returned calls, and always came with a smiling face. I selected Northwest Landscape from Angie's List for my first estimate. I had a cost range in mind and the estimate came in on the low end of that range. I was so impressed with the presentation I received that I made the decision to hire Northwest. The installation took place on one late fall day, when it was tested and also prepared for the winter. The crew was very profession. I first saw the system operate in May 2010 when I turned it on for the watering season. It worked great and continues to do so. I haven't had to call the company once since installation. My lawn was not torn up badly during installation and has completely recovered.

Total experience was fantastic. I received 5 bids for the work (4 were top rated Angie's list, though I question how 2 of them were so highly rated). From the first phone call all the way through making some tweaks to the sprayers after the work was done, they have been courteous, responsive and above all professional. You can tell Sean is passionate and knowledgable about sprinklers. After his presentation, I was confident he knew what he was doing and would install the best system for what I needed. He didn't try to throw in a lot of extras that I didn't need. Their prices were right in line with the others, not the highest and not the lowest and very reasonable. After they were done, you coudn't even tell they had been there - no raised dirt or ripped up grass - and we have about 1/2 an acre, so there was a lot of piping to be installed. I would highly recommend them if you need an irrigation system.
