Paul and his team were excellent. I've hired a few contractors in the past, and Paul stands heads and shoulders above all of them. Some things that stand out: ** The craftsmanship is excellent. It looks great and you can tell they pay attention to detail. ** Paul is an awesome communicator. This is really important to me because I'm pretty busy at work, and travel sometimes. For me email works best and Paul communicated that way throughout the project. I always knew when they were going to be there, what they were going to do, and what we should expect. ** We had one minor problem as it was being built (the corners weren't cut as on the original plan). Paul admitted the mistake and fixed it immediately. No hassle at all. ** Paul was also the low bid for us. Not by much but enough to make our choice easy. He also didn't have as much of an up-charge for a maintenance-free decking as other bids. Highly recommend and would absolutely use Klingbeil Construction again.

Exceptionally well! I was very grateful that Paul could limit the project to what really needed to be done. And I appreciated his suggestions regarding the "best" use of our money in terms of the scope of the project.. He was very easy to work with and willing to revise the bid when I changed my mind. He kept me informed of the likely start date, showed up on time, and cleaned up when he was done. The work is excellent and very fairly priced. And most importantly, Paul was delightful to work with. I highly recommend him.

Paul is by far the best contractor we have worked with, based on quality, cost, integrity and reliability. We couldn’t be more pleased with how our project turned out. Even the inspector commented on Paul’s attention to detail and quality of work. We met with numerous contractors when initially planning our project and felt most comfortable with Paul and his approach. He took the time to listen our ideas, review sketches and in the end was confident he could construct what we were looking for. Due to this being a custom project, we had to make some adjustments to our project along the way. Yet, Paul made sure we were happy and approved before moving forward. You can tell Paul and his crew takes pride in their work and want to provide both a high quality service and product. We also appreciated how much time Paul was out on the job doing the work and overseeing his crew. They are very timely and finished the project ahead of schedule. We felt the price relative to others was very competitive as well. I don’t write reviews, although my wife and I are so appreciative, we had to share. We look forward to working with Paul again and highly recommend.

Very satisfied. Paul came out to discuss the job quickly, and had a couple of his subs also come out to evaluate how best to accomplish what we wanted. He turned around a proposal quickly, and once an agreement was struck, the work began the next week. (It was winter - not the busy season.) Work progressed at a steady and predictable clip, and Paul worked to make sure the subcontractors were available when needed. Whole project was completed in 2 months from the time we agreed to a contract and probably 3 weeks of that was waiting on local inspections. Prices quoted were at the mid to lower end of bids we got and workmanship & materials were very good quality.

Last summer we hired a different decking company to build our deck. Long story short, that company did not work out for us, but Paul and his team came to the rescue. He came out to survey what the other builder had done & gave us an estimate to finish the job, as well as add some foundation footings that weren't done correctly by the first company. His expertise was a life-saver in getting our deck finished last summer up to code. We love our deck and know that it was quality built! Would certainly hire him again!

Once again we could not be more pleased with the quality friendly work that was performed. On time, willing to do add-ons, quality materials, and reasonable price. Just the best.

Paul and his crew were great. Paul was very responsive, and the team did great work. The deck is solidly built, and the neighbors have had plenty of compliments. We plan to eventually screen it in, and so we wanted a wider area that wouldn't get screened in to accommodate two grills. Paul suggested an extra wide staircase, and although it was slightly more expensive, it really looks great. The neighbors also love the slightly different design. Paul was a pleasure to work with, reasonably priced, and top notch craftsmanship. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Klingbeil construction. I had neighbors stopping over daily as they couldn't believe how quickly these guys work. They were professional, prompt, and very competitive on price. The quality of work is impeccable (and i'm in the retail construction industry by trade) and I still can't get over how quickly they completed this build. Paul (the owner) is a fantastic guy. He is honest, trustworthy, and reliable. They were always there when they said they would be, and worked far later in the day than I ever expected to get the job done. At one point I was unhappy with a design choice (my fault, what I thought would look good didn't). Paul's response was if we didn't love it, he was going to change it and make it right. I've referred to several friends and neighbors since and can't say enough good things about this company. Don't hesitate, hire these guys!

Paul and team tore down and replaced our existing deck and footings. We had an additional challenge as our old deck was built into the siding of our house. They built a maintenance free deck that compliments our house. Paul was extremely easy to work with and provided an amazing, beautiful end product. The crew showed on time every day and were courteous and professional. We chose Paul because of the positive comments on Angie's list and they were not wrong - hat's off to him and his crew!

Paul and his team were excellent. If there was a grade better than A for responsiveness, I would have given him it. I talked with multiple contractors for my project, and while their turn-around was in days, Paul's was in hours. After using the deck for a few months now, and comparing the work to decks of others, I have determined the work by his team was excellent. Our project had multiple special needs - removal, rebuild, addition, special shapes, steps, planters, stucco, gutters, edging, railings, etc.. - and Paul and his team were able to meet and exceed all expectations to complete the work the way we wanted. I would definitely recommend Paul and his team again for a deck project - His prices were very competitive and he uses the best materials. Though busy, he is worth the wait, and if you are like me he may be able to meet or exceed the quoted date as schedules shift during the summer. Highly recommended.

Paul Klingbeil was easy to contact. One phone call and he returned it within hours. Came over and looked at the site. He gave me an estimate the next day (early March the 8th or so). When I accepted he told me that his schedule was booked until early June. I said fine let's schedule. He called me a couple of weeks later and said he had an opening the end of April and I said let's do it. He and his team got the job done the last week of April in really a couple of days (this was a deck on a rambler a foot and 1/2 off of ground level). We had rain that week but Paul and crew worked around it and really did a very nice job on this deck. I am very pleased and would recommend Klingbeil Construction to anyone else looking for a new deck.

The level of service and workmanship that Klingbeil Construction provided was exceptional. Paul was prompt, thorough and paid attention to details. His ideas made the outcome even better then we could have imagined. The subcontractors that Paul used for electrical, siding, roofing etc. were also top notch. We would not hesitate to recommend Klingbeil Construction to friends and family.

It was a pleasure working with Paul. He worked with us to design a new deck that would work better with our house and how we use it. He removed the old deck, had all the old deck removed, and installed a new one. He worked with the city inspector and everything went smoothly and on time. Everything was cleaned up each day. They also arranged to have new gutters put on our house at the same time so it could be designed to work with the new deck. Once they started working on the deck, it was completed in the time frames that they estimated. They responded to all questions, whether by phone or email, in a timely manner. He is extremely busy and once we hired him, it was about three months before he was able to begin. But it was worth the wait and shows what good work he does.

Work was done quickly and looks fantastic. Gets lots of compliments and he found the perfect color to match a brick patio. Would definitely use in the future.

I had an amazing experience with Paul!!! Paul and team not only started my project 2 weeks early, they also completed the deck, (which he estimated for two weeks max) within 3 short days. They showed up, worked hard and made the most amazing deck. All of my neighbors have stopped by to say how impressed they were that Paul and team worked diligently on it and how wonderful it turned out. It's looks awesome and is really well built. I also appreciated the fact that Paul pulled all the permits and also recommending other contractors that he is networked with. I wanted a gas line to my deck for my grill and he called someone he knew, got a quote and within days the gas line was in. I will continue to use Paul on any project going forward! Overall amazing - trustworthy, honest, hardworking, on-time and a pleasure to work with. Thank you!!!

This company did a great job. When I initially contacted construction companies for my project, I only contacted people with "A" ratings. I like quality. The quotes I received ranged in prices of up to $6k. The people that I communicated with at the various construction companies all had different communication skills. The think that set Paul apart from the others, is the fact that he wanted to come check out the existing footing himself,, rather than rely on the fact that they were located in the correct position. My ex and I had poured footings back in 2004 when we remodeled our house. We just didn't have the cash to put a deck in place. Paul came to my house, measured the deck location, went over composite color choices, etc, with me as well as the railings. I ended up having Paul adjust his bid three different times during the deck builder search. Once was for an upgrade in the decking material,,, once was for a change in the style of alimunium railings, and finally,,, a change when I decided to go with the glass panels. Through out the process, Paul was very professional. The crew started on the day they stated, and made remarkable progress. The only thing that slowed them down was the fact that I ordered black satin railings, and these are custom order. So,, it took several weeks for the railings to arrive. Once the deck was complete,, and the city of Blaine came for the final inspection, it passed with flying colors within 5 minutes. I love my new deck. It has been almost 20 years since I have had a deck. I enjoy sitting out side in the evenings or on the weekends just enjoying nature. I would definitely hire Klingbeil construction for any building needs. Their crew was very proficient, professional, and courteous.

They were punctual, courteous, professional, thorough, cleaned up after each shift, and overall did a fantastic job. The work was completed in a timely fashion for the price quoted. I had no issues, problems or concerns. I would highly recomend them.

Paul came out right away to talk about what I wanted and give me an estimate. We scheduled the project for a couple months out and they were able to start ahead of schedule. The guys built the deck in just over 2 days. They were very professional and friendly and my deck looks great.

Paul is the owner of klingbeil construction, he is by far the most professional and punctual contractor I got to know. We are so pleased with his work. He built for us 13x14 4 season porch and 6x14 Azek deck with an amazing railing. The project included adding fireplace, wonderful loose lay vinyl flooring, installing natural stone surround for fireplace, built-in cabinets and painting. We got many compliments from everyone. We made some changes and upgrades during the construction process , Paul didn't have any problem with that. Paul works with his crew, some days when he wasn't working, he made sure to stop by to check in the progress and quality of work. Paul kept us informed throughout the process. I am amazed by Paul's strong work ethic & professionalism. I will not hesitate to hire klingbeil Construction for any future projects.

Price and quality are great. Paul is awesome. In general I cannot say enough good things about Klingbeil. The only negative, and it's a minor one, was that we never really knew what the status of the build was after it started. We were thinking it would be done by one time only to see the job unfinished over the weekend. Also, some parts were late to come in so we had to wait for them, they were minor so no big deal but we needed to reach out to find out the situation. Would be nice if those conversations were more proactive. That being said I'd go with Paul and his team if you need a deck. You won't regret it.

Paul and his crew were very efficient. They showed up on time in the morning and tore up the old deck, removing all debris. They immediately got the footings in, and waited several days for curing. We were always made aware of the progress and next steps to come. We did a high-end composite deck (Azek) and Paul and his wife Nancy were very good about advising us about the materials. The project was done in an extremely timely manner. Paul and Nancy are very easy to work with. Paul is on site almost all of the time, but his crew is so good that he didn't need to be present all of the time. Paul is clearly very knowledgeable, experienced, and a man of integrity. We are very pleased with the deck. It is obviously the result of Paul and his crew's high level of skill. The neighbors are impressed too. Without any reservation, we would give Paul the highest recommendation.

We needed to have our old deck removed and rebuilt but there were some issues concerning retaining walls and a walk-out under the deck that needed to be addressed. It was a challenge but Paul worked with the city and was able to get it just the way we wanted it. He and his workers were all very respectful of our home and yard. Thank you Paul and crew.

It went extremely well. I called Paul last fall and he scheduled me for early spring. He started ahead of schedule and he and his crew were working on cold and sleety days for awhile. They did a fabulous job and there were no surprises. The team was extremely professional and they finished ahead of when I expected. Paul took care of all the paperwork with the city. It was relatively worry free and he took care of everything. I definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a deck.
