The team was professional, punctual, and attentive to every detail. They kept us informed throughout the project, making sure our vision was fully realized. I made a deposit of $53,300 for an exterior remodel project with Olson Construction. However, the NEXT day, I had some questions and needed further clarification regarding the project details, and ultimately decided to cancel. Unfortunately, Olson Construction refused to return my deposit. I had to hire a lawyer to communicate with Olson as they were not responding to me. I remain ready and willing to resolve this matter, but Olson has ignored pleas for fair reimbursement. Construction Projects are incredibly stressful and costly processes anyway, but this takes the cake. If only Olson was as quick with correspondences and resolution as they were in taking my deposit!!! Please consider this in choosing your contractor, as I do not want you to make the same mistake I did!

The owner is very knowledgeable and great to work with. I have used him a couple of times and he has been great. Highly recommend.

I had Olson's re roof my house. Top quality employees and workmanship. There wasn't a speck of debris left afterwards, the only evidence is my beautiful new roof!

Nick and his crew completed a garage addition to our existing freestanding garage to accommodate a motorhome. Excellent attention to workmanship, cost estimating, staying on budget and responding to my concerns, questions and suggestions. Even with a late fall, early winter build (2020) Nick and crew delivered the project on time. We are very pleased with the final product and would definitely recommend using Nick for your next project.

My wife and I had put a lot of time trying to figure out a contractor that we could trust to put a deck on our new home. We had used Nick and his team in the past with great experiences, but never something this large. With that said, we called him again for a quote on a maintenance free deck w/stairs. He was very transparent about the pricing and that most people get sticker shock when receiving his bid. I can confirm, it's not cheap. Fortunately I went in knowing it likely won't be cheap and set my numbers very high so when his bid came in, I was prepared. We accepted the bid and scheduled to get the deck started as soon as the permit & association approved. Nick's team was able to get the deck completed within a week and they were nothing but professional throughout the process. The city inspector came in and nitpicked a few things, but it was all very minor and Nick was more than willing to come out and remediate the findings. The only issue we had was with stair lighting. This was something that we did not budget for and was not part of the bid. Unfortunately the city inspector would not sign off until they were light (with a minimum of moonlight). I worked with Nick and we came to a compromise where I bought the lights and his team installed them shortly after. Overall I had a great experience with Nick and I would recommend anyone to use them for their construction needs.

They did a really great job, I gave them my daughters information for a big deck and they never called her.

We hired Olson Construction this summer for a major project, a replacement of three large decks and a screened-in porch on our home. It was obvious from the beginning that working with Nick Olson was the right way to go. We started with three quotes on this project. The first two quotes were done by salespeople for their company's construction crew (people whom we'd never see again), whereas Nick did the quote for his own company. The other bids were also crazy high, clearly a "big house, big bid" bloated price. Nick's bid was fair and just what we expected, and he updated us on cost changes along the way, which were minimal given the size of the job. Even during the busy summer season, as the owner, Nick was on site most days, and working alongside his crew, which was greatly appreciated, and showed a lot of pride and commitment to the job. Timeliness and communication were stellar; Nick and his crew were on time or updating us on changes in timeline along the way. Throughout the job, he checked in with us when anything arose that required a change in plan, instead of just forging ahead. He responded to any texts/calls/questions or concerns quickly and thoroughly. Communication is something that can make or break a relationship with a contractor, and Nick understands this better than any contractor I've worked with. Beyond our own questions, he even checked in on his own to ensure that we were happy with the project along the way. Nick's crew was courteous and respectful, and cleaned up the site at the end of the day. There was a minor paint spill, and Nick and the crew ensured that this was cleaned up well. Nick also ensured that details like replacement of the gutters after the job was done properly, and actually improved upon their flow and function. It was clear that Nick and the entire crew wanted us to be happy with the project, and took pride in their work. The outcome of the job was fantastic - we love our new decks, and look forward to enjoying them for years to come. We had an Azek deck with composite/aluminum railing installed, but whether it would be composite or wood deck, or any other job, Olson construction would be a great hire. As projects come up in the future, Olson construction will be our first call.
