Aaron did a great job. He got back to me promptly and schedule an appointment to do the repair within three business days of me contacting him. His prices were reasonable and he did excellent work. I could not be more happy with his craftsmanship and attention to detail. I would definitely use him again if I ever have a need for a foundation repair.

One year ago, I hired Aaron and the Mason's Touch to removed and replace our brickwork on the front of the house and our poured concrete porch. Whew, what a big job this turned out to be. In placed, the concrete was 36" thick. They removed it all and replaced it with a natural stone face and porch topped with New York Blue slate. The steps are full length with no seams. I've waited a year to see if the project has held together without settling. It's as beautiful as the day they finished the work. Neighbors were glad that I took down three trees in the front yard so they can see the house better. This is a great company and I hope to work with them again sometime in the future.

Here's our neighbors' opinion of our 2017 project with The Mason's Touch: "Remove more trees in your front yard so we can see more of the stonework. It's beautiful" We needed to replace a cracked and tilting concrete porch and the brickwork on the front of the house. Aaron came over a couple times and came up with ideas for new steps, porch and front wall using natural stone that far surpassed our ideas and plans. The demolition involved busting up a solid concrete porch that was as thick as 36" is some places. Other companies shied away from even bidding but Aaron and Jeremy never flinched. In spite of hot, hard work, their dispositions were always respectful, happy and lighthearted which made working with them enjoyable. They worked very well together. Based on Aaron's recommendations, we made a couple of on-the-fly changes, such as types of footings. They worked out perfectly. Also, we really appreciated the option to choose our own custom blend of veneer stone for the wall and one piece, bluestone steps. Aaron's attention to details and his artistic use of small pieces really enhanced the beauty of the stonework. The project was completed about 10 months ago. It's as solid and as beautiful as it was last year. We love it and it surely enhanced the curb appeal of our house far above the cost of the project. We hope to use them again for an interior bathroom project. We give The Mason's Touch our highest recommendation. Cost: $26,000

Fast, Precise and very Professionally. The only hold up was Mother Nature pushing back the work. The owner (Aaron), and his wife gave birth of their new baby girl and he was still on site to help within a couple days. Aaron kept in touch every step of the way and answered every single question or concern I had. I’d recommend him and his business to anyone and everyone.
Description of Work: An old rotted wood railroad tie retaining wall was removed, approximately 50ft L x 2-3 ft H, along with approximately 7 steps made of the same material. A new boulder retaining wall was installed along with new granite steps and decorative rock. It looks amazing and I couldn’t be happier.

Aaron and his team were great. They did top notch work and even repaired more of my foundation than was originally quoted to me and didn't ask for more money. I was appreciative of his honest pricing as we often get quoted way above normal due to our location in the city. I'll hire him again for some future projects with out hesitation.

Spoke on the phone, very courteous. He was to drive by an apartment building I own, assess the areas needing repairs, and let me know an estimate. Never heard from him. After 3 weeks, I called again and left a message. Haven't received a call back.

[Member Name Removed] it has been a LONG three weeks with migraines going in and out of the doctors and the ER trying to get them figured out so I can actually function even half way normal. As of just yesterday I saw a neurologist and finally got some medication that could hopefully help. So I understand how it can be frustrating to not hear but sometimes there are good reasons why someone cannot take a call or spend hours calling people back.

Foundation was repaired OK and fairly promptly. However, three recently installed Hardie siding boards were chipped (how???) and not replaced or fixed. The mason has not responded to our communications since despite our family's initial request for a quote for other services (patio/landscape).

Response from The Masons Touch
I am a little disappointed in the review that you have given me and I'll explain why in the following. When you originally contacted me to do the foundation repairs communications were done by your daughter as she was living there so details had to be figured out with everyone and I always explain fully what our schedule is looking like to ensure that customers aren't waiting to hear what's going on. That is one thing that separates us from others IS the communication to let you know. Another issue it seems to be is the quality of your repair. When you have foundation blocks that are severely deteriorated from not seeing the damage or waiting too long the repairs are harder and harder to do to make sure they look like new which is almost impossible. We fully explained from the. Grinning that we would be using a fast set concrete to fill the major holes and from there we would be slim coating it to match the rest of the blocks as best as possible for a repair. As far as the hardie board siding goes because of the numerous cracks that there were in the foundation that spanned all the way up the foundation and the methods used to repair those our grinder knocked them in three places at the very bottom edge. As soon as this happened I felt horrible and we immediately informed your father of this and asked what he would like to do. We discussed a few different options and he said that using a colored caulk would be just fine with him. Why this was not relayed to you I do not know and I apologize. And lastly I am really sorry that instead of contacting me immediately about the issues you had even though you told us this was an "A" rated job or we would have made it right right then and there you chose to wait until an estimate hadn't been sent for other work you wanted done before you post a review. This is my main source of advertising for business and every job we do is personal to us along with striving to make EVERY customer completely happy when we're done. We try our absolute best to keep a very open line of communication throughout the entire process so I really wish you would have been able to communicate amongst yourselves so everyone was on the same page and then contacted me immediately so that I could work collectively with your whole family to have a feasible solution to any and all of your unhappiness. But instead I get a somewhat negative review and the facts that were present are not mentioned. I have tried emailing you even after this review was done and I still haven't heard back on what you would like to do. I chose to come back to masonry after the military because of my love for the work and the love of people so I would hope that you can understand how making us sound like a less than average company would affect me. I really am sorry that you are unhappy but I have also reached out as well and have heard nothing in return.

The Masons Touch cleaned up so well, that I was unaware they had actually done the first stage of repair. Upon inspection, the bricks matched beautifully and the work was very well done. (I am very picky.) This is a great company.

The project was completed on time and at the price as estimated. Their high quality work has created an awesome improvement in the appearance of the house. Aaron and his crew were all very pleasant and professional. They did a very complete cleanup around the outside of the house after their work was completed. Even though there was one weather delay during the project, Aaron still met my deadline date by having his team work long hours as needed. He was quite responsive to my questions and other input on the project. I am planning to use The Mason's Touch again.

Aaron was timely and very considerate with his plowing. Because I have a gravel driveway, he knew that he had to plow a bit higher until we got a hard freeze, so as not to displace the gravel. He showed the same consideration in the spring.

The need for this work was a surprise - we were having work done on our house, and the contractor found that the foundation of the house was in need of significant repair. I called Aaron and he showed up that day to look at the work, and then had crew over the next day to make the repairs. This helped to keep the overall project on schedule. Huge help!

I didn?t end up using him, but he was really kind, thorough and helpful.
Description of Work: He came out to give me an estimate.
Aaron was fantastic! He came out and spent a lot of time looking at the repairs we wanted, explaining our options and quickly gave us a very reasonable quote. Never having undertaken such a project we had many questions and were unsure about the best way to proceed. Aaron was very patient with me, came back out a couple of times with samples and promptly answered my many texts. He also provided pictures of his previous work and also of our job if we weren't home that were very helpful. He apologized for the delays that were unavoidable due to the weather but kept us updated on the anticipated start date, and was always very friendly, courteous and professional. He obviously takes pride in his work and puts his customers satisfaction first.
Description of Work: Tore out existing front stone porch and stairs and 2 concrete walkways. Replaced front porch with new stone, replaced front curved walkway with patterned stone and corrected slope and height, replaced side walkway with gravel and new stone walkway, repaired chimney by replacing missing bricks and placing new chimney cap.
It took a while to get on the schedule but we were not in a hurry. Once scheduled, work was completed on time. Great quality work. Would definitely use again. The Mason's Touch was able to identify the reason the wall was caving in (was incorrectly installed by our builder)- this issue was resolved with correct installation methods.

Aaron came out and did a quick survey of the work that needed doing. I appreciated that he took the time to come out since I had sent him pictures of the work ahead of time. He wanted to be sure that he gave us a fair estimate and felt that he needed to see it in person before committing to the work. He also worked with our quick turnaround time and the fickle weather forecast. All in all, the repairs looked great and helped us sell our house faster. Thanks again!
Description of Work: He fixed and cleaned up some flaking and broken concrete around the house foundation. He also repaired our stone step.
