CERAMIC TILE BY FRED

He quoted me $12000. He was extremely overpriced. He was a normal guy. His responsiveness was neither fast nor slow. In terms of his punctuality, he was a little slow.

The experience was fine with him. I liked Fred, but was not fond of his assistance. He wasn't as meticulous. The price was fine. They showed up on time. We recommend them. We put Fred's tile. The guy we were working before got ill, and had to leave middle of the job. These guys stepped in and helped us out to complete the tile.

He and his crew did a great job both times. His prices were reasonable. He was very good about explaining options and answering questions. His crew is professional and clean up after themselves. I would not hesitate to have them do work for me again, and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

They did the work and I have not had any problems since. He is a very nice person.

He is able to trouble shoot situations that are difficult and bring a resolution to problems. We had a complex problem with our master bath shower, which was an on going problem. He was able to take the shower apart and put it back together correctly, so that the shower was able to function correctly. He has a can do attitude. He does quality work for a good price. He is responsive and punctual.

The work was excellent and it was done on time and right on the estimate that Fred gave. He was extremely nice in working up the bid.

Work was completed on tight schedule in spite of difficult working conditions (no water in house). Fred was professional and easy to work with. One cracked tile was replaced right away. When the refuge did not get taken out to the street for pick-up, Fred removed it at his own expense.

FRED WAS AS PLEASANT AS YOU WOULD WANT A CONTRACTOR TO BE IN THE FIRST MEETING. HOWEVER, HE DIDN'T SHOW UP FOR OUR NEXT APPOINTMENT AND WAS VERY LATE FOR THE NEXT. HE GAVE A VERBAL ESTIMATE FOR OUR KITCHEN BACKSPLASH AND REQUESTED A DOWNPAYMENT. I AGREED TO IT BECAUSE THE TILE WE ORDERED WAS QUITE COSTLY. AFTER WRITING THE CHECK, WHICH HE CASHED IMMEDIATELY, WE HAD TROUBLE REACHING HIM. WHEN HE DIDN'T RETURN OUR PHONE CALLS TO SCHEDULE THE PROJECT - FOR WEEKS - WE ASKED TO CANCEL THE PROJECT. HE WOULD NOT RETURN OUR DEPOSIT UNTIL "GETTING A REFUND FROM THE TILE COMPANY" THOUGH WE FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS NO MATERIAL ON ORDER. WE HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED OUR MONEY. THE REFERRAL CAME FROM A FRIEND (AND THOUGH HE DOES GOOD WORK) OUR EXPERIENCE WITH HIM HAS BEEN NOTHING SHORT OF A NIGHTMARE.

JOB WAS COMPLETED IN A TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER.

I DIDN''T HIRE FRED TO COMPLETE THE JOB BECAUSE I CHOSE TO STAY WITH MY CONTRACTOR - FEELING SOMEWHAT OBLIGATED TO DO SO. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER WHEN I ASKED FRED FOR A LETTER DETAILING THE POOR-QUALITY WORK HE HAD SEEN COMPLETED BY MY CONTRACTOR, HE REFUSED BECAUSE I HADN''T HIRED HIM TO FINISH THE JOB MY CONTRACTOR HAD STARTED. HE FELT HE HAD INVESTED TOO MUCH TIME WITHOUT GETTING ANYTHING OUT OF IT. HE HAD VISITED MY HOME MORE THAN ONCE TO REVIEW THE PROJECT TO CREATE AN ESTIMATE, BUT HADN''T ASKED FOR PAYMENT FOR AN ESTIMATE. I WAS DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE BEFORE THIS I WOULD HAVE HIRED FRED FOR A FUTURE PROJECT. I WILL NOT IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE MY OPINION OF HIS PROFESSIONALISM HAS CHANGED - MORE ABOUT THE MONEY AND LESS ABOUT THE SERVICE.
