SPEGAL PAINTING

Spegal finally returned to do the warranty touch-up work we requested. He did it quickly and in the manner we requested with a primer and finishing coat. It looks good and worth the wait. We hope it lasts for at least a couple years.

Spegal would not schedule warranty repair work for chipped, peeling paint related to their exterior job 18 months prior. We waited several weeks during the summer for them to schedule the touch-up work only to be told they "just didn't have time." Clearly the job was not a priority because it wasn't big enough, even though they were the original painters. Spegal's warranty terms are unclear and unspecified so make sure you pin them down on the warranty term before hiring them! We even offered to pay for the work and still no time to fit us in.

Do not hire this painter. Spegal doesn't have time to schedule warranty repair touch-ups for their own customers who have chipped and peeling exterior paint after just 18 months. Apparently Spegal doesn't want to waste time with small jobs fixing their own work. They say they stand by their work, but they provide no clear warranty terms to customers.

They did an excellent job. They were careful with covering my shed so that stain did not get on it. I have a very long fence with lots of shrubbery against it. They did a good job of working around it and not damaging it. Very professional.

David Spegal is the owner and painter for his own business. He was recommended by a friend who had used him to re-do her kitchen cabinets. I called him to come out and quote the job, and he came the next day. Right away after talking to him for a while, my wife and I knew he was the right guy for the job. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. After his very fair price quote, we didn't bother checking with any other company. Plus, he had time in his schedule to do the job the next week. We cleaned out some space in the basement where he could set up his spray tent ( it was way to cold to paint in the garage ). He took off all the cabinet doors and hardware, removed the drawers, and the pantry door, brought them to the basement, and cleaned them, gave them a light sanding and re-sprayed them. He brushed painted the cabinet bodies and the very large island in place. It is hard to tell the difference between what he sprayed and what he brush painted, because he did such a great job! He painted 26 cabinet doors, 15 drawers, a full size pantry door, a very large center island, and the cabinet bodies. He was here each day at the exact time he said he would be. David was also very conscientious and concerned about keeping things clean and tidy. Other than our sparkling newly painted cabinets, you could hardly tell he had been here. David Spegal is kind of a rarity in today's world of contractors. He does exactly what he says he will do, on time, and professionally. I will hire him again without hesitation. He said he gets most of his jobs, "word of mouth". I know I will be recommending to everyone I know.

He did a fabulous job and at a really good price. He is was always on time and very tidy. One of the best contractors that I've hired in years.

My laundry room walls were primed after my washing machine exploded. Dave and his crew were on time, very pleasant and did a great job. I highly recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again.

Dave's bid was very competitive, on time, pleasant to be around while he worked. I plan to have him back for more projects.

He did an excellent job. When he left here, it was left in perfect condition. He was a very pleasant man to have in my house.
