The service has not started yet. I will update when it has. However, I was very impressed that they were able to offer recycling pick-up each week. My previous carrier only offered every other week, which was difficult to keep track of and we would often miss a week and go an entire month without recycling pick-up. I am giving them an A rating just for offering this service in my area!

It gets picked up every week.

I'm feeling completely gouged by Highland Sanitation. Should garbage service be $32 per month? I've only lived in my home for 7 months and the price has gone up. I would like to switch but I'm not sure what makes sense.

I've used Highland for trash/recycling for several years and for snow removal a few seasons. Snow removal I think is fine, though it happens later in the day than I'd like and would be problem if I had a job where I had to be in the office everyday. Trash removal I've had a number of issues with over the years-a rental property where they had already picked up a container from a previous tenant and called me looking for payment for it, seemingly arbitrary billing for extra trash. Most recently I had an expired credit card on my account (which is obviously my fault), they left a voicemail on 3/15, never followed up with another call, mail or a note on my trash, and simply stopped picking up. At best it's bad communication, really it's just a rude way to handle it. I'd love to switch providers, but like most other utilities they're my only choice.

Very reliable and professional. Trucks look safe and clean. They seem to drive reasonably safe in the neighborhood.

The snow removal company provided snow removal throughout the season as needed.

Ourselves and the homeowner's on our alley utilized Bobby's snow plowing service for the past three years. Pricing was extremely reasonable and the quality of the plowing was great. Bobby was good at responding to coming back out if we felt the alley needed an additional sweep. Definitely recommend looking at their alley snow plowing services.

These guys are so dependable and reasonable that at least four of my neighbors have switched in the last year. I also subscribe to them for my rental properties.

I wasn't happy with them because they charged me for an extra bag of garbage. We hardly ever produce any garbage. I switched companies. We paid $40 every 3 months for a pickup every 2 weeks for a small can.

Highland Sanitation is good. I liked their service. They were friendly, nice and always prompt but I was hoping for a volume based service as I do not produce very much trash. I only have a garbage can full about every other week.

They are here every month. They come and empty out my dumpster box and they always come and empty without fail.

I was a customer for about 10 years. They are a family-owned company and very responsive. There was always a person available to talk to and they were always quick and courteous. Over the time that I used them, I can't remember any issues or problems with their services. They never missed a pickup. It's pretty rare that I can find little or nothing to complain about with a company but this is one. I had to stop using them because I moved out side their service area, otherwise I would continue to be a customer of theirs.

They had a delay in delivering our trash cart, but gave a week credit in response. I love watching these guys work -- most trash haulers make 2 noisy trips up & down our street in both directions. Highland drives the truck down the street once, & the workers run across the street to get trash cans from the opposite side of the street & wheel them over to the truck. They are really efficient, which is perhaps why their price was lower. Also, making only one trip down the street must save on gas. It certainly saves on noise. BRAVO!

They do what you need them to, for a reasonable price. They have never charged us additionally for over flowing garbage cans.

They are reasonably priced. This price is for a yearly contract where they provide a 90 gallon container.

Their service is excellent. They never miss a pickup and when you call them you talk to a real person. Family-owned. However, I am shopping around due to price. I think there are others out there who haul for less. Highland will always charge extra for extra hauling, even if it is only a little bit. If you put some garden waste--weeds, rocks, dirt in the can and don't overfill they will charge extra for that, I suppose because of weight.

We started with Highland Sanitation almost six years ago because of a "get 2 months free" offer. Things did not go well because there were missed pickups and they delivered the wrong size container and began charging us more than we wanted. HOWEVER, after calling and speaking with Sue (whose father started the business, I believe) she straightened everything out by saying 'what do you want me to do to fix the situation? I told her what I thought was fair and she had it done. We have never had and issue since and they are always on time and the holiday schedule is clearly listed on the back of their bill. Recently, prices have increased due to increased fuel prices and a county environmental charge (which are both out of their control) and we remain loyal customers.

SLOPPY HANDLING OF CANS. MISSED PICKUPS.

THE PEOPLE AT HIGHLAND WERE USUALLY FRIENDLY. RECYCLING HAD TO BE SEPARATED VS. THE ONE CONTAINER SYSTEMS SOME OTHERS ARE USING. THEY SAY THAT THE RECYCLING IS MORE EFFECTIVE WITH LESS WASTE THIS WAY. LIKELY TRUE I WOULD THINK. WE WERE HAPPY WITH HIGHLAND BUT SWITCHED SERVICES FOR A BETTER PRICE, THOUGH OUR NEW PRICE IS NOT SIGNIFICANTLY LESS.

I AM PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THEM. DURING THE PAST 2 MONTHS I HAVE HAD OTHER COMPETITORS BID FOR MY BUSINESS. I AM PLEASED WITH HIGHLAND & HAVE DECLINED ANY OTHER OFFERS.
