It has been a nightmare cancelling service with Waste Management. When I changed service, my new service provider stated they would cancel with waste management. I contacted WM anyway to confirm cancellation of my service. They still came. I contacted through customer service web page again. Response was I needed to talk to a customer service rep to cancel - I already had and they should have received written notice from new provider. After multiple attempts I finally was told I was canceled and paid in full. It took several weeks and another call for the cans to be pick up. Now 6 months later received collections call for $56. What is wrong with this company?!

Service initiated promptly. Customer service reps very polite, pleasant and responsive. Received trash receptacle much sooner than promised, which was great. Pricewise they were better than the other services I reviewed.

.I was getting ready to sell my house and wanted a dumpster. I looked online, and Waste Management had the best, all inclusive price (or so they said), I called on November 7 to get details and was told they would call back in two days. Nobody called back. I called again on December 2, confirmed all the details and paid $517.28 on my credit card. I confirmed that mattresses were included for free. They said yes. The deal was for 30 days and three tons of trash. I received a bill dated December 15 for $81.73. I called and told them that I had already paid. They said the bill was sent in error and I should ignore it. They did pick up the dumpster on January 3, and then started sending me bills. They sent me a bill on January 15 for $814.91. I called on January 23 and spoke with Debra. She said someone would call me in 24-48 hours. Nobody called. I called them back on January 28 and talked to Jolena. She said they charging $140.00 for mattresses (which I had been told were free), roll-off charges of $283, fuel, environmental charges of $136.70, MN state tax of 17% - $105.35, Hennepin County fee of $89.86, and an "inactivity charge" of $60.00. So much for all inclusive price I had prepaid. Jolena said they would listen to my initial call and zero out the amount owed. I called again on February 6 and talked to Marina who told me credit was issued on February 4 and I would be able to call back and confirm the credit in 24-48 hours. I called again on February 17 and was told by Cindy in Collections that the credit had not yet cleared. On March 11, I received a call from collections wanting my payment. They had no record of my previous calls. Finally in April, they credited 276.15, but they also started charging me an $18.40 monthly roll-off charge as if I was a regular customer. In June, they turned me over to a collection agency to collect $95, and they have been calling me nearly every day for the last several weeks. This is certainly the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I would not recommend them to anyone under any circumstances. I could go o n and on, but the print keeps getting smaller and I can no longer read what I am typing so please pardon typos because I can't see what I am typing.
Description of Work: Dropped off a dumpster on December 3, picked it up on January 3. That's the only thing they got right.
