The work was acceptably performed, The work crews were fine, but communication was terrible, and aside from bromides from the salesman, the customer service line was completely ineffectual. The problem was that took the front gutter off, and despite my telling them repeatedly that our basement would flood in the rain predicted for the next two days if they didn't put the new one on, they did not. I had to lay down tarps, clear water and watch the basement for the next two days of torrential rain. Then they disappeared for a week, leaving everything removed. No response whatsoever, until shortly after I filed a compliant with the Attorney General, imagine that. The work crew once again did a decent job, but left the gutter guards off the garage gutters. Another two weeks of fruitless complaint, and they randomly showed up to finish the job.

Minnesota Rusco claims to install top quality windows with 100% customer satisfaction but those are empty promises. It was a mistake to trust Minnesota Rusco with our project. We had quality issues with our Sunrise windows, which weren't caught within a 1 year service warranty and Minnesota Rusco was unwilling to take any responsibility for installing a defective product without charging a $250 fee. We had no choice but to accept the fee for something that took their tech 10 minutes to resolve. They have the power to work with the manufacturer to hold them accountable for manufacturing defects, yet they choose to praise their commitment but do the bare minimum to support their customers. I feel duped.

I was excited about the new windows and doors, the installers pointed out a a broken storm door, a torn screen. They installers missed the following: 1: Frame cracked on one window frame. 2) the new trim is cracked in all the bottom corners of the new trim. 3) the downstairs window has a channel that holds the screen in however all 3-upstairs windows do not have a channel to hold the screen in so screens keep popping out, can't wait for them to fly away this winter. 4) Lastly, Installers did not clean outside of residence up, window frames dirty, along with all the tracks have shavings in them, and glass is dirty, plus my inside floor has spray foam crumbs on it. I cannot recommend these guys; I should have purchased through Kay Designers again.

Isaac was a wonderful rep to work with. He answered our every question and calmed our nerves, servicing us regularly. The ONLY thing we were unhappy with was the cabinet installers, who broke some of the old countertop and left us to figure out our own temporary soluation until the new one came in. They also installed some things wrong but Isaac/Rusco fixed it in time to continue. Overall the project took about 3-4 months (some of that was our own delay) but we're so happy with it and never thought we'd see it happen in this house! I also didn't realize the lifetime guarantee meant that the awesome finishers (LOVE MIKE A!) would come fix anything afterwards we requested. Awesome experience, highly recommend them as long as you get a great rep. We tried to hire them to redo our dated bathroom shower but that was not a good fit as we need something custom.

At first glance I was happy with my new Kohler walk-in tub and Onyx wall and vanity. It was 7 or 8 pm when they finished for the day, so we didn't look it over very well. There are gouges in my brand new $1000 6-panel door and trim - they should have taken the door off because I heard them say there was only 1/2 inch of clearance. The electrician left a jagged edged 6-inch square hole in my wall and a hole in my ceiling that they stuffed with something like a vinyl glove. There is a gouge in the ceiling above the tub. The vanity looks like it isn't quite the right size so they filled it with sealer, but you can see the edges don't quite reach the wall. They left the baseboard with a gap where there isn't any baseboard and put sealer on what was there, so it looks awful. I thought I had ordered 2 robe hooks, but they were not installed. The order process was not very clear, so I am not sure if it was ordered or not. The sales process is yet another story. The salesman was never available when I called; he did return my calls, but he was always in a rush. I foolishly signed a contract that didn't list out the prices for each individual part of my order, so it wasn't until later when I asked for specific prices that I learned the mark-up of things like putting in vinyl flooring and an electrical outlet were outrageous. I waited 4 months for my remodel. Now that they did the install, the project manager hasn't returned my emails or my phone calls after a full week. My next step is to talk to the project managers' manager and of course he was unavailable, and I had to leave a message. When I asked to talk to the next level, they said there is no one else I can talk to. As I'm writing this, the project manager called me. So, more to come. He is going to make a site visit this afternoon. Very disappointed that after a 4 month wait, to not get any follow up.

Initially I experienced Sticker Shock but once I got over that, it all worked out.from the time I signed the papers to the time of installation, several months had passed. I guess this is still the result of supply chain delays. The wait was long but once they called to say they'd be out in a week, it was quick!. I had a walk-in tub removed and a shower installed in the opening. The subcontractors were wonderful. They went above and beyond to get the project done. I am very pleased with the result.

I had a sunroom put in a couple of years ago. I had to keep calling them back to fix issues like leaky windows, three years in a row. Meanwhile the foundation they put in has been settling more and more causing the door frame to be off. I have a hard time closing or opening the door and MN Rusco will not call me back. So much for their life time warranty agreement. They have went out of the sunroom business, this should tell you something about their reliability.

Vets and buyers beware. They will not tell you how to cancel. I applied them for replacing my countertops and, they had given me a veterans discount. But that's all your service will get you. After that it's all about the money. I had called to cancel within the 3 day window the saleswoman said I had to cancel in. I was told the retention team would reach back out to help me cancel. 4 days go by before I call again to be told that I'm still going to have to wait due to the only person to help being on vacation. Then Andrew reaches back out on the 29th to tell me per the contract even though they hadn't bought any materials, I am still entitled to pay HALF of the total job. Around $8500. But because they hadn't used anything he would graciously lower it to only take my deposit of $1000. Half of which came from my disability pay. When I said that this wasn't company wasn't for veterans. All I got was we have our veterans discount and repeatedly told I should've read the contract. So take my mistake as a lesson and do not do businesses with this company without extreme caution. This company does not have your 6 and is only after your wallet.

What a horrific experience all around. The sales man did not deliver what he sold. The kitchen was installed by day jobbers they picked up somewhere and had to be replaced twice. They scratched the brand new appliances and had a very negative attitude about correcting all their botch mistakes. The countertops were a disaster as well. What an awful company. The way scheduling was handled was ald=so dysfunctional and caused multiple problems and made a simple project take three times what it should have. And no one from the company took responsibility for their mistakes. I was verbally assaulted several times by a senior employee called Joe. The son is driving this farce of a company into the ground. I bet his father is furious. What a joke and a train wreck which I have to now pay for each month. It's left a bitter taste in my mouth for the kitchen I wanted & work so hard to receive. Now they are offering FREE INSTALLATION. It's not worth even considering Minnesota Rusco for any project you have. By close friend also used them but for a bathroom and they messed that up as well. When she asked for a quote on her kitchen no one ever returned her phone call. SO, BUYER BEWARE. Save yourself the absolute misery this company will bring to your door.

Sales person used pressure tactics to get the discount, so didn't realize they only offered the most expensive doors. Took 5.5 months for doors to arrive which I can't fault them due to supply chain issues. They installed the doors in March on a 10 degree day. They ripped out all 4 old doors first without any barriers for weather or lead and left them bare all day in which all the heat escaped and my house was 30 degrees. Took them 10 hours to put in 3 of the doors which were only partially done. Found a squirrel in my house which could've only gotten in during construction. It got sick and make a huge mess. I had to get a trap and spent hours cleaning. They had to come back later to finish and came 1.5 hours later than was communicated. They rushed and left 1 in of caulking (clear, not matching) around all of the doors so looked amateurish and forgot some screws. City inspector did not pass one of the doors as the threshold piece was simple pine which would've rot quickly. He also agreed the caulking looked bad. They agreed to come back out and redo that door and fix the caulking. The other contractor that they sent agreed the first guy didn't know how to work on older homes. I emailed them about the whole situation with the non-winter procedures, no lead barriers, the squirrel. The customer service person told me they would discuss it, but I never heard anything from anyone. I strongly discourage this company, at least for doors.

Jeremy Booth was great to work with. He listened to our wants and needs and found just the right product for us. We had checked other companies but none gave us the personal attention Jeremy did. We will definitely go back to MN Rusco for any future needs we have. Great experience. Care Team kept us informed as to progress of our order.

The subcontractor that performed the work was excellent and we are happy with the end result. Unfortunately, MN Rusco was absolutely terrible with communication. This left us concerned for months and we couldn't get anyone to answer our questions. The sales person (nice person) got us to sign on the dotted line (price seemed a bit high but hard to gauge). She had someone come out to write up the detailed specs (nice guy). The project had a couple components that needed our input and approval. He never reviewed his design with us. We tried getting in touch with them to confirm the designs but they always had a gate keeper and we couldn't get in touch with the design guy. We waited several months for contractors to be available to do the work. We had no point of contact. If we tried to call, each time we got what seemed to be an 18 year old receptionist who could never help with questions. They clearly were reading a script with pretty much every interaction. We'd ask basic questions they couldn't answer. As our time was approaching we called and they said they could do it in a week (why didn't they call us to schedule?). Still we had no idea how they were handling the component in question. The project was to start on Monday. Friday afternoon we called to ask them to please confirm the design before the contractor came on Monday. They finally patched us through to the designer. He described his plan over the phone, which was very different from what we wanted (it was a small but important part of the total kitchen). We were able to talk him through the change on the phone, but if we hadn't been persistent it would have been a problem. Long story short... we are happy with the result, but Rusco's communication was truly horrendous. Just have a competent point of contact who could answer questions for us would have made the whole thing really nice, but instead it was frustrating and concerning right up until the start of the project. Fortunately the sub contractor was very pleasant and did good work.

Communication was excellent. In fact I had two calls to make sure I knew when they were coming. During the process I was consulted on any changes or what had to be changed to make the new tub work. Dave and his crew were on time, respectful, professional, communicative and their work was excellent. The materials for the new tub, vanity, and plumbing are excellent. I would definitely hire them and use MN Rusco again. Also they started at 7:30 and they were done by 2.

Description of Work: Looking to get my shower remodeled this month. It will hopefully be a simple job. I had a high-school friend set to do this, but he just doesn't have time. We have a basic standing shower needing to be replaced. The base is cracked. So the shell needs to be cut out, the floor under the base built up, and a new base/insert put in with the drywall replaced. We already have the new base, insert, and door sitting in our dining room. Is this something in your wheelhouse.

Like any window company they push really hard for sales. This was our first time buying windows and they're so expensive. Minnesota Rusco talks a big talk about how much they value customer service, but our experience was pretty awful. Installation seemed to go okay. But a few months later I discovered one of the windows wasn't installed properly and there was a quarter inch gap under it. I called customer service and the woman I talked to was very snooty to me and emphasized the fact the problem wasn't on their side but my side. I was told to pull it down all the way and that worked. We had a building inspector over because of other work we were doing and they discovered we had an exterior permit that we were unaware of that Minnesota rusco had pulled for the windows. I didn't know that required permits. It was over a year later. The inspector said it's the responsibility of the person taking out the permit to close it, I called Minnesota Rusco and they were saying the opposite and it was all my responsibility and my fault. One window was supposed to be tempered glass because it was in a hallway, the inspector said it was regular glass. I called Minnesota Rusco and again had major attitude and they said the inspectors weren't trained properly and didn't know what they were looking for and that the window was definitely tempered glass. just 10 minutes later I got a call back from Minnesota Rusco, no apologies, but they said the paperwork showed it wasn't the right kind of window. We paid extra for tempered glass and they didn't order the right kind. We had to wait over a month for the window to come in. The day it was supposed to be installed no one showed. I had to call in and they said they don't do window installs if it's rainy, but they didn't tell me that I had to contact them. They said they would call me back to schedule a new time. They called me back a week later and said they could come in the next day, very little notice. They were able to come in and quickly install the proper window. The windows were very expensive and we're still paying them, but we still get drafts through them. I regret working with the company and buying their windows. I also do not like that they call every 6 months to a year to try to sell more windows to us. Even though I tell them I don't want them to call.

We love our new bathroom! The installers did a wonderful job. Great communication each day of the remodel. They cleaned up throughout the process. Our remodel was completed in 5 days. Amazing! We had gotten quotes throughout the years for a similar cost. What sold us are the quality materials, complete job (new drywall, floor, etc.), and how quickly they could get it done once they started. They also have a financing option. We are very happy and would definitely hire them again.

The initial meeting went fine and I was excited about the doors. Due to severe family medical problems, I tried to cancel my order after the three day rescission period and was told I absolutely couldn't. I was told that people had already started on my order (absolutely untrue because my order was being held until someone from management returned my calls). Never heard from management, but, the salesperson was adamant that the order could not be canceled. MN Rusco had the ability to work with me because decisions are all handled in house. Afterwards, it took about two months for me to decide on what entryway front door I wanted for many reasons. I'd find a door I really liked but the costs would be too high and/or my salesperson was out of town. I asked for a cost breakdown on the doors but was told he couldn't because MN Rusco didn't want their competitors to know their prices. I wasn't "the competition." It was my money, my home, my doors since this company would not cancel my order, and I was being told I couldn't know. WHAT?? Also, according to the ad being ran at the time, I was supposed to have been able to get the storm door for free. No where on the advertisement did it say what type of storm door, nor did it give a limited dollar amount. I was charged for anything over $1,000. I asked salesperson how much the door was, and again, he would not tell me. I sincerely and without any malice, believe that I was taken advantage of and charged much more than I should have been. The whole experience still upsets me even after roughly 6-8 weeks. I will not do any further business with this company nor recommend them based on my experience. It was a costly lesson learned.

What sets MN Rusco apart from all other businesses? * Is at the customer service? * Is it the product line and quality? * Is it the communication & project support? These are questions my husband & I are continually asking ourselves & yet to develop answers. I am envious of the posts on this page of people who had great experiences and outcomes with their home projects. Our experience has been nothing short of disappointing & frustrating. Our project started September 24 & was ‘completed’ December 9. After five different visits to our home, we decided to exclude MN Rusco & finish the project ourselves. The project started out great, we were excited! We shortly became disappointed, let down, & ghosted on by our MN Shower and Bath Rep. Throughout the entirety of the project we experienced plumbing issues, water damage, window damage, as well as scheduling conflicts, miscommunication and cover ups had to be implemented to hide mistakes made. Lesson learned, do your research- I would never use MN Rusco again or refer them.
