When I schedule with Twin City Remodeling I know that the job will be done in reasonable appointment time and excellent finish. So glad I found them through Angie's list. I did learn that it is better to email Joe, than text him.

Twin Cities Home Remodeling worked efficiently and completed the job in a timely manner. They were detail-oriented and kept coming back until every little detail was perfect. The new bathroom turned out beautifully, with clean finishes on all the new drywall and woodwork. The new bathroom included a linen closet with sliding pocket door, recessed medicine cabinet, sink, toilet, light fixture, fan, towel rack and toilet paper holder. Their plumber had to install all new plumbing - not an easy task in a 90-year-old house! We picked out all of our own fixtures (including the toilet and sink), which saved quite a bit of money. The kitchen update is also beautiful, although we had a few glitches due to the installation of cabinet fronts before the counter and sink. We upgraded to a farm sink that took up more room than our old sink, and some of the cabinet fronts had to be remade. We went back and forth several times with the cabinet subcontractor to get a final look that worked for us. Although there were times when we needed to be very proactive with communication, Twin Cities Home Remodeling always responded and in the end, we got a beautiful new kitchen and powder room for a pretty reasonable price.

They were extremely responsive to my request for an estimate. Since I knew nothing about windows, they explained differences without going into detail I didn't care about. (These were 2 windows on the back of my house in my kids rooms, looking to stop the drafts and frost problems I was having.) The other bid I got, was just trying to get me the cheapest which would have been white and not matched the trim in the rooms or the rest of the house. Joe came in never offered me white, explained the difference in glass, but came in several hundred dollars lower. Had them installed in about a month after ordering. Overall, it was a great experience! I will definitely call them again when I need more work done!

Joe Nelson was prompt in responding to our inquiry and complete in shedding light on our options and cost realities. We had a lot of confidence in selecting his crew to be able to do our work as we had a tight timeframe before work began on our street this spring/summer. The various workers were very conscious of the disruption, keeping the area tidy, responsive and above all else communicating timely during the entire process. They helped identify ways we could save on the bill. Overall, we finished on time and we were very pleased with the look and better function of our bathroom. We would recommend them to others!

Simple honest work, reasonable price.

Joe and his crew were f gastric. He worked with me on the order and payment. His installers were excellent as was the finishing guy and the clean up crew. Excellent, on time service. I would highly recommend TCHR.

Joe was extremely easy to talk to, and gave me all the details about the new windows. He told me that it would be a few weeks before they arrived. Well, they came sooner than I expected, and Steve, the installer, was here right away! In two days, the whole house was done. Steve took great care to put down runners and he left the work site very clean. He was also very easy going and efficient. Another guy came with insulation for around the windows, and yet another came and wrapped the windows from the outside, so they look really finished. The old windows were picked up immediately when the job was done. So effortless! Joe came right away after the job was done, and we settled up. He answered a few questions, showed me how the tilt for cleaning worked, and was on his way. I could not be happier.

When we were searching potential contractors for our remodeling project, we interviewed representatives from three different companies. Although Twin City Home Remodeling (TCHR) provided us with the highest bid, we chose them over the others for several reasons. First, we thought that their proposal was the most complete and thorough regarding all that would have to be done for the job. Second, they talked about how they would go about different stages of the work ? we felt more fully informed from them as opposed to the others. Third, they brought on an Interior Designer for the initial plan for ideas for selection of flooring and tile as well as cabinetry. Fourth, in retrospect, we felt like the other contractors were most likely bidding with the lowest cost materials and the costs would have gone up considerably if we wanted higher quality materials. Finally, we really liked Dave. He was well- prepared at the outset with all the necessary documentation of licensure, bonding, and recommendations. He provided us with contact information of former customers to get first hand feedback from them about their satisfaction with their work. Dave engendered an authentic feeling of trust on our part and that peace of mind made it worth considering the higher cost for all we wanted done. In terms of the planning for the remodel, we were very impressed with Dave?s attention to detail. He brought up several issues and options for us to consider that we would have never thought of, such as getting a new front door, getting rid of a pocket door that we never used, resurfacing the ceilings, and the need to consider options for new outlet covers. Dave clearly went the extra mile by making a few extra trips to our home to bring us brochures and samples. He brought brochures for us to consider: kitchen sink; front door, side light, and locks; and samples: of cabinet glass options, wood floors, crown molding. The overall quality of the work and the end result was much better than it would have been without Dave's assistance and suggestions. In terms of the process of the job, Dave promised a schedule up front and a clear timeline for how long the job would take. He also made it clear this could be subject to unforeseen factors which can come along with each specific remodeling job. Given this was our first experience with a major remodel, this made us feel positive about the process. Dave maintained regular contact with us for the first couple of weeks of the project , which again gave us a feeling of assurance that TCHR are trustworthy and reputable professionals. However, as the job continued a few snags were encountered and the timeline was extended by a couple of weeks beyond the original estimation. Although we were never given a weekly printed schedule as promised, John, the site supervisor, was at our house regularly and gave is updates and projected timelines. Whenever we called with a question or a concern, John or Dave responded promptly. The crew the TCHR hires was great. Workers were considerate and professional throughout. Jason and Becky were fantastic with their painting work. There was an issue with one of the new workers, but John took care of any issues to our satisfaction. There were a few issues with some of the cabinetry from the manufacturer. TCHR worked with the representative of the company to get cabinet doors replaced and concerns resolved to our satisfaction. They did a great job of keeping our driveway clear of trash and had the Bagster picked up in a timely fashion. They also took care to repair some damage that occurred to our basement ceiling during the process of the first floor demo. In terms of the overall job and workmanship, we are very satisfied to date, almost one year after the completion of the job. (We took so long to write the review because we both work in education... once school starts, most other things wait). We love the remodel! We enjoy our "new" home. Overall, we are very pleased with the staff and Twin City Home Remodeling . We would highly recommend them for a remodeling job. If we have future projects, we will happily hire them again. Although their prices were higher than others, we believe it was worth it given the quality of the work and how they worked with us as clients.

I'm a bit of a procrastinator I guess but they deserve a solid review for their work. These guys gave us a bid for replacing a basement bathroom & bedroom after a 30 year old tile shower leaked and trashed a quarter of our basement. They were among the cheapest but we also felt they were the most attentive to what we wanted to do. While WE went over budget on tile and shower enclosure they just kept doing what we wanted. The tile guy (Paul) was awesome & did some crazy pattern my wife picked out without complaining at all! They went above and beyond what we expected. They will be the first people we call for any other projects we decide to tackle! Highly recommended!

Joe and team did an amazing job. The project went as planned in the agreed upon time frame. The team was proactive in their communication and when I did have questions they were quickly answered. I would definitely use them again.

They were very professional. The owner of the company who bid it was available to us when we needed throughout the process. The site manager was great to work with and able to address the surprises along the way. I really appreciated having a schedule at the start of the project that clearly laid out all of the steps and approximately when there were to occur. The finished product is beautiful.

Our experience with Twin Cities Remodeling has been excellent. Their people were EXCELLENT. They were professional, kept in communication with us via email, phone and text message. Were responsive to the needs of our family during the remodeling process. At one point our kitchen cabinets were delayed through no fault of theirs and they proactively installed a temporary sink so we could "use" out kitchen without us even asking for it. Their sub-contractors were all courteous and polite and they always called before they worked on the house to let us know they were coming. Even following the completion of our kitchen project we had an issue with the plumbing in our kitchen that turned out to be a clog in a pipe completely unrelated to the project and they immediately sent someone out to help. Both Joe Nelson and John were great to work with. I have recommended them to friends and family and we will use them for projects in the future.

They did a great job. Kept us informed of the timeframe and did job quickly but with high quality. Joe was really easy to work with and very knowledgable. Would use them again!

Met with Inspectors and conversations and referring with professional associates for the best of two possible estimates were presented. Scheduled for service when it was best for weather temperature and my convenience. Service was fairly fast and uninterrupting of the home during service. Two after inspections at my convenience. Overall satisfied so far. The test will be if we have more cold snowy winters and if the heating costs are lowered too.

We will never purchase home windows from anyone other than Twin City Home Remodeling. Several years ago Renewal by Anderson replaced two windows in our home, and had to come back several times due to installation issues. A few years later when we wanted to replace one very large front window, we contacted Renewal by Anderson, Mon-Ray,Twin City Home Remodeling and a few other window companies for bids. Twin City Home Remodeling provided quality Minnesota made windows but at a more reasonable price. The other companies told us up-front it's a higher prices because we were only replacing one window,They wanted us to purchase more windows for a discount. We chose Twin City Home Remodeling and have been very pleased with the window quality and efficiency for over 10 years. This past fall we decided to replace the remaining windows in our home. A friend recommended we give A-Craft Windows another MN window company a try. I contacted them and it was terrible, Two missed appointments, and after he finally showed up it took three phone calls asking for the price. I finally received the bid 2 weeks after the appointment. Clearly they didn't want to be bothered by an order for only 5 windows. Frustrated, we called Twin City Home Remodeling - Joe Nelson, owner of Twin City Home Remodeling arrived on time & gave us a very reasonable price at the time of the visit for 5 window replacements . We knew the windows were top quality and energy efficient like our previous window which we purchased from his company. We received top customer service during both the installation and cleanup. We couldn't be happier. Twin City Home Remodeling will be our 1st contact for any future home remodeling or improvements!

These guys are awesome. Prompt, professional, organized, cleaned up daily, great attitudes, and clearly love their trade and craft. My bathroom is beautiful. I will definitely hire these guys again.

It went well. It took three separate days to completen the job. Then team was prompt, courtious, and helpful.

Twin City Remodeling LLC designed the laundry expansion to our needs. They were willing to solve issues. We can recycle what was still usable and meet all the building permit requirements. We did not want a crawl space because we did not want extensive digging in our backyard so we worked on a design that would allow the expansion without the crawl space. They were flexible as to where we get the products we want. They allowed us to get them in as many sources as we want if they were not available via normal routes. There was also a lot of open communications, important to make sure there was understanding of our specific needs. Joe Nelson and John, the foreman were good examples to all the workers. They treated us like we are partners and smart enough to understand the process. They also hire very competent subcontractors ie, plumbers, electricians, heating etc. All very friendly and love their work. When they said they will finish at a certain time they meant it. Workers will come in and wake us up at 7AM coming in to start the job. It was the building permit processing wait time that was the only bottle neck. Once started the inspectors came on precision schedules. It was quite pleasant to work with this group. We even asked them to do our cement driveway so we did not need to find who will do it. We asked them to add another job to fix our sagging post in the front stoop. Did that in no time as well. TCR also offers financing options to those who qualify. These are very good opportunities for customers. Three years ago they did our kitchen and sunroom remodeling. So this is not a one time experience but a consistent pattern in contractual experiences. I might ask them to do projects again in the future.

My 2000 townhome has cold issues which causes large gas bills in the Winter. I have 4 outside walls, Several of the walls were cold and my windows didn't seem to stop breezes from coming in. I have an electric panel that shows ice in the Wintertime. My main concerns are the heating bills for the many months of cold in Minnesota. Joe Nelson came to do the energy evaluation and thermal camera scan. He was thorough, talked about the problems both for the evaluation and the scan then wrote recommendations with the most cost effective fixes first. His company does construction and remodeling. He was prompt, well organized, competent, methodical, well qualified and was concerned about the wasteful use of my gas. Joe sat down and gave me a lot of valuable information about my home and what I should do that would be useful, efficient and economical. I would absolutely recommend him.

Not really impressed. Didn't really benefit from it.

Twin City Home Remodeling consulted and arrived promptly to clean out the mold and mildew issues due to the water in our basement. They used protective floor coverings and plastic on the walls to protect the upstairs. Sporicidin was used to prevent further spread of the mold issue. The basement was then totally remodeled to our specifications, including new drywall, taping, mudding, painting, trim and new carpet. The project was completed in a timely manner to an exceptionally high standard!
