These guys are the real deal, true master craftsmen! Imagine having an older house with some very difficult construction issues on the interior and exterior (e.g. brick placed AFTER window installed, lop-sided framing, kitchen cabinets up against interior frame, granite backsplash up against existing window frame, etc.) Now imagine finding some kind of construction super-hero who comes in and makes your new window look like it's been there all along. This is what happened to me. Joe and Steve came over and measured the window rough opening to determine the size of window to order. The order was custom due to dimensions and wanting a wood frame (instead of vinyl or metal clad). They both emphasized that they would need to custom frame this window (interior work), as well as create the brick-mold (exterior framing) from scratch and come up with an interior solution once they had the window in hand. Once the window arrived, Steve, the carpenter - an amazing talent, removed the old window and frame, while paying careful attention to the granite backsplash. He then installed and proceeded to custom build a beautiful wood frame (interior) and brick-mold (exterior) around this new window. It took him the entire day to get this done and it was truly masterful work. Everyone who has come to our house has marveled at the job and we couldn't be more delighted!

We needed to get our windows replaced because they were in such horrible shape. We had several estimates done, but Joe from Twin Cities Home Remodeling was right in the middle in terms of cost AND he was great at explaining what needed to be done and what we could expect. We saved up enough for the windows, got them ordered, and waited for them to be made. When it came time for installation, everything went smoothly. Our installer was professional, prompt, and cleaned up at the end of each day. It was a little unnerving to see all the siding off the house so the windows could be replaced, but he put everything back so well that you can't even tell. We are so happy with how the windows look, we can already tell the difference in terms of temperature loss/control and sound, and can't wait to do the rest of the windows in the house. From the beginning estimate to the final inspection, there was good communication and professionalism. We will be getting an estimate for the remaining windows that need to be replaced in our home, and are working with them regarding some recent storm damage. Great company!

The folks that we worked with were all very professional and personable. The design got a bit tricky with property lines and Joe was in great communication about how to make it all work. We also had things not go as planned due to tree roots, but again they problem solved and were in great communication throughout.

Went well. They helped me navigate some boundary issues and worked with a few different folks for concrete and carpentry.

The project was started May 12th of 2016 and was completed July 7th. The re-model of the bathroom went very well, product was installed very well and the workers did a very good job, were very professional and considerate. I had the impression they were established with this company. The assistance with pre-renovation was very good and I 'm very pleased with the advice given for colors and product. Concerns were addressed quickly and corrected. I did feel the job took longer than it should have to finish. I also think there could have been better communication, at times I felt like there was a lack of focus on the details of the work. However, when I gave a list of things that needed to be addressed, it was addressed within days, completed and done very well.

Work was done professionally and with quality. Workmen were well experienced, friendly, considerate about our schedule. Project was done in the timeframe we required.

Excellent! Joe and his team were just fantastic. The craftsmanship well exceeded my expectations and the value was amazing! They were able to replace the screens in my porch with actual windows that look like they are almost original to my 100 year old home. Not only that, they were able to undo all the do-it-youselfer wrongs that the last home owner had committed when installing doors and such. They also installed a new screen door (in the correct side of the opening) and a new door on the garage and trimmed out everything beautifully. My garage siding also looks amazing! I have had several contractors for different items over the years and I can't say enough about how buttoned up and finished everything looks! They are also very friendly, professional and easy to work with. I'd give an A++ if I could. Thank you!

Twin City Home Remodeling was a great choice for our bathroom remodeling project. When our first ideas proved to be too expensive, they helped us scale back to something we could afford. The workers, the materials and the final project were all top notch. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Joe Nelson listened to what I wanted and had great suggestions when he came and gave us our free consultation. The project manager was always checking to make sure everything was done correctly, and the carpenters that came did real quality work, cleaned up after themselves and were very personable - almost like we knew them our whole life. I had a distinct plan in my mind and the outcome was exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommended Twin City Remodeling.

I had a great experience with these guys. Very professional and friendly. I was very happy with the quality of the work performed and they finished on time. It was not easy, as I only have one bath, so they had to do the tear out in stages so I could still have a working toilet and running water. I was not sure about the Onyx product that they sell, but was ultimately very pleased with the result. Easiest and most satisfactory construction project I have ever had done.

Very professional, came in on budget and on time. Very helpful with decisions and self directed. Very confident with workers in my house while I was away. I have worked with many construction companies, this one was by far the best.

I wasn't happy with that because, they were supposed to provide me with some additional documentation and they didn't. I ended up following up with the owner of the company. They were supposed to take pictures with a special camera that showed heat loss and I did not receive them. We wanted to have them look at doing some attic installation and their price was astronomical. Their estimate was for $2000, and it wasn't clear to me why the cost was so high. I am interested in other merchants. The owner tried to be responsive. They could have followed up on what they promised. I called them twice and ended up talking to the owner on the third call. I still don't have it. I have heat loss in my house and no documentation.

Anthony was personable, punctual and organized, and gave us a bid that I'm sure would have given us a good outcome. We ended by using a different firm, primarily because this other one was local specializing in bathrooms/kitchens, gave us a similar bid and neighbors gave us good reports on the work the other firm had done for them. I certainly would recommend Anthony and Twin City Home Remodeling, and probably would use them for future remodeling/repairs.

Great customer service - Joe goes above and beyond. From answering questions to providing a range of estimates until we were sure which product we wanted to correcting an issue we had with the finishing work, he really steps up to make sure customers are satisfied. We will be calling Twin City Home Remodeling when it is time to replace the rest of the windows in our home.

I had received bids from several contractors before being connected with Joe at TC Home Remodeling. When the Joe (the owner) met me at my house to discuss the project I could immediately tell the difference between his company and all of the others which sent their sales reps to sell me the biggest project they could make out of my relatively minor issue. Joe is very down to earth and tells it like it is. He thoroughly explained how his sub contractors would do the job and placed an emphasis on quality and, in terms of doors/windows, explained the science behind how they made sure to install doors/windows in the most energy efficient way. While the project took longer than anticipated, I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Both the door and glass block window were well installed and the contractors even gave me some bonus advice about how to avoid some common house issues they observed while on the job (I'm a new homeowner and in need of all the advice I can get!). When I spoke to one of Joe's sub contractors, he told me how much he enjoys working for TC Home Remodeling because of their experience and overall trustworthiness. I could tell that Joe is really good at what he does and, even though he could have tried to up-sell me on the project, he was more interested in giving me a quality product with just the right cost.

Their bid was substantially lower than the others we received. They started the project on time and the workers were prompt, very quality oriented and kept us updated regularly. They came across a problem during the project (which was created by the company who built our home) and took care of that problem at what it cost them (because it wasn't part of the project scope). Overall we are very pleased with the outcome and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

The initial sales consultation went well. The team that arrived was professional and had some good ideas on how to accomplish what we wanted to accomplish. We gave them our budget and asked them to accomplish what they could within it. This was the week before Thanksgiving and we were told we'd get a quote before the holiday. We finally received the proposal on Dec 5, 2015. For reference the other three companies we asked to provide us quotes at the same time delivered them within a week. When the quote arrived, all of the projects (kitchen, main bath, master bath, laundry tub, fireplace installation, door replacement) were lumped together with one big price for the whole project. The quote itself was grouped together by type of work performed (i.e. carpenter will do this, electrician will do that) with no way for me to be sure that everything was covered or what parts went with what project. I asked the sales consultant, Anthony, for an approximate cost per project since the bid was over our budget and I couldn't tell what projects were contributing what costs. Instead, he sent me a revised bid with a lower price, some things taken out and only the fireplace installation broken out. I didn't get to choose what to take out. I reiterated that I wanted a price on a per project basis because I couldn't understand how the price was arrived at. He informed me that they did not break out projects that way (every other contractor that gave me a bid had broken it down by project - note I didn't want an itemized bid - just approximate cost). I called their office and told them I couldn't spend tens of thousands of dollars when I had a hard time reading the bid. They immediately transferred me to Anthony who said (literally) to take the current quote or leave it. He informed me that our project wasn't worthwhile for them to take on if we didn't do it exactly as quoted. I told him that the quote didn't make sense to me because I couldn't tell how each project was contributing to the final price. He stated "well it makes sense to us - I don't know what else you want me to tell you". He did break out two projects finally but by now it was well into January. Between the sales consultants attitude on the phone and the fact that the pricing in the quote was all lumped together and they refused to break it down, we decided to go with someone else. Several friends who have done remodels in the past said the unwillingness of this company to give me any discrete pricing information were big red flags. I decided that if they were already being dismissive of our concerns before the contract was even signed that our project was probably not going to go smoothly.

Very easy to work with. No surprise in cost. Work was done timely at price giving for initial quote. We will be using for a kitchen remodel in the future.

Communication and attention to detail are lacking. Also seems to be a lack of foresight. I felt like I had to do a lot of "complaining" and intervening to get the professional look I desired. In the end the bathroom looks good, but getting there was a bit rough.

Friendly staff, very professional & always punctual. We purchased middle of the road windows for our home that were about $220/each. Install was over $400/window. Overall satisfied with the job.

The glass block windows were original to our home built in 1928 and another company we asked for an estimate from was reluctant to do the job because it was complex and time intensive, but technically a "small project". Joe came to do an estimate and he knew what to do and everything went very smoothly! The glass blocks had to be hammered out piece by piece, then headers had to be built from scratch, then insulated. It was a big project and we are very happy with the windows! We would definitely hire Joe and his team again.

Project went great. Joe communicated during his quote by honestly explaining what should be done and then keeping me informed on project status and the few adjustments that were needed from the original quote. The people who worked on the job were concerned about having as little impact on us as possible but also would take time to answer questions and show me things along the way. It was a great experience.

Everything went fine and the end result is great. All parts of the project have been completed except for installing a shower door that is in transit right now. I liked they had a decorator come over & help pick out paint colors, flooring, and bathroom fixtures. I had probably a person from every trade in my house at some point. Everyone was friendly and courteous and their work seems great. There were 2 contracts and that caused some confusion but was resolved and to no inconvenience and no charge to me. I have put off these projects for many years because I was dreading the cost, decisions that needed to be made, and the interruption to home life. This has been a great experience. If I would have know that, I wouldn't have waited so long.

Wow! Twin Cities Remodeling really amazing job at my house. Joe (the owner?) came over and gave me a great, low estimate on re-sashing 5 basement windows and replacing a storm door. He worked with me to make sure I was getting the best deal and the best product. He convinced me to get a slightly nicer door than I intended and he was RIGHT. I LOVE my new windows and the new storm door is so much nicer than I expected. The installation was quick and I had no inconvenience. The installers left almost no traces, except new windows! I am considering replacing the upstairs windows in the future and I will 100% use Twin Cities Remodeling.
