Description of Work: They replaced a 30 year old redwood deck with maintenance free deck. The entire project went well from the quoting to the actual deck building.

Description of Work: I had a new exterior back door installed. They did an excellent job of installation, were right on time, and the door looks great. The only problem is that the estimate did not cover everything, so I ended up paying a little more than originally agreed upon.

Description of Work: This contractor failed to meet my expectations. Owner was not aware of his sub-contractors doing. When I called to get my bid after waiting 2 weeks the owner could not find my information. Very frustrating and unprofessional. Took days to get a resolution or a follow-up call back.

Description of Work: bathroom remodel and window replacement. Quality work for the most part with some oversights that were corrected after being brought to the contractor's attention. Some issues with timeliness. Took much longer than expected. Issues at the end with the final invoice with some questionable ideas on settling invoice. The contractor suggested I submit invoices to the contractor for reimbursement on items I purchased myself rather than submitting directly to the lender - in this scenario, the contractor would be paid in full and I would have had to hope that the contractor would see fit to reimburse me in full. I talked to the lender who advised me that this was not the correct or appropriate procedure. Submitting my invoices directly to the lender, I was ensured of a full reimbursement on the items I purchased myself for the remodel. If you are a woman and especially if you do not have experience with a remodel and working with contractors, be careful that you are not taken advantage of. Don't be afraid to ask questions of the lender or contractor. Make sure you get what you want and not what the contractor wants to give you. Make sure the work passes your inspection before signing off that everything is good.

Description of Work: We are very pleased with our main bathroom remodel. Joe and his staff were great to work with. Jack, who did the remodeling work, was awesome! He saw to it that we were inconvenienced as little as possible and kept us informed throughout the project. His work was of the highest quality. The project was completed within the time frame quoted and to our complete satisfaction. We highly recommend TC Home Remodeling.

Description of Work: I never used this provider. Do not know why overall rating is filled out. If I have to fill out one of these forms every time I look at a provider I am going to stop looking.

Description of Work: Performed home energy audit with infrared camera. Thorough walk-through of entire house and follow-up visit to go over the report. Very professional and always on time.

Description of Work: We had 2 projects completed. The kitchen was a replacement of the cabinet fronts, new drawers, new granite countertops and marble backsplash. We replaced existing windows. New trim and cove molding, new paint walls and ceiling. The kitchen had been previously designed by Kringle Kitchens in St. Paul and we did not change the layout or general design. Aside from that it was a total remodel. The bath/master bedroom was more extensive. In the master bedroom we put in new closet doors, new room doors , carpet, repainted the walls with new drapes, bed coverings, re upholstery of chair and bench and new closet systems ( only the closet doors and painting and molding were done by Twin Cities Home Remodeling. The bath was a complete gut and re do. New marble floors, shower, vanity tops and new cabinetry for the vanities. Shower enlarged with rainshower plus 2 wall mounted showers and new Jazuzzi tub new toilet etc and new fixtures throughout and lighting. Custom millwork and frambe mirrors. Joe was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive and courteous. He was up front with all costs and up front when we chose to go over bid price on certain items. Terry, the cabinetmaker and person who did all the painting and tile work was precise and exacting. We could not have asked for a more congenial experienced craftsman. Work was completed in 2 phases at our request and took April thru most of August but was minimally disruptive. Workmen cleaned up after themselves and were courteous. I only had one quibble. I would have liked more detailed drawings(elevations) of what the cabinetry and final product would have looked like. I was only give a rough sketch of the bathroom and had to trust that the contractor knew what I wanted after I gave pictures from magazines of the look we wanted to achieve. I definitely would work with this contractor again. We have had nothing by amazement by people who see our redone kitchen, master bed and bath.
