They arrived on time and got right to work examining windows and doors for air leaks. (And boy, did I have air leaks!) The thermal camera scan was definitely an eye-opener and showed me this was something I had to address and couldn't put off any longer. (Not to mention, I wanted to lower my gas bill!) I hired them to fix what could be fixed and replace what needed to be replaced. I got a couple news doors and they re-insulated the wall between the garage and the house. They were so professional, efficient and pleasant -- and did such a great job -- that I ended up hiring them to do additional work in my home. Would highly recommend!

It went great. They were very polite and respectful of my schedule. They provided a thorough analysis of areas in my house that could be upgraded in order to increase my overall energy efficiency.

No issues. They guys came and did a good job. We got the information we needed (fortunately no major issues found).

This was a remarkably pain-free process for me from start to finish. Everyone was very professional and willing to work with me to keep costs down but quality high. The quality of work was excellent and they were very good at letting me know what the schedule would be, and also good at sticking to the schedule. While there were a few minor issues at the end, they were very willing to make things right and extremely persistent in getting those last little details finished to my satisfaction. I would recommend them highly, and plan on using them myself for further jobs.

It included several infrared scans and review of the general house insulation. The infrared photos were helpful. | |The rep gave us a bid on replacing parts of 3 windows. All of these would be difficult to justify on a payback basis. They did not bid on adding additional vents which the vendor indicated would help with an ice dam problem. Perhaps they do not do this type of work. | |The original proposal from Angie's List was not entirely clear how the credit would work on additional services from this company. There was apparently a minimum amount for additional work, so the credit offered was not worth what it originally appeared. | |In retrospect while the cost was not high, I'm not sure this was a great investment.

I did not really care for the service. The technician did not really tell me much about what to do. We had to reschedule a couple times and then he was running late for the appointment. He never even apologized for being late and he seemed a little unorganized once he got here.

It went very well. They went through the house and did the scan and they summarized what they found and got a report later. they didn't find much that needed to be done or needed some recommendation. They just sent someone for evaluation and we didn't go ahead and give any work because there's no much to do. There were two of them who came.

It couldn't have gone better. The team (Joe and Tony) kept me informed about every step of the process, and even worked with me to get those windows installed on one of the "warmer" days in December. That was a trick to accomplish, given how cold that month turned out to be! They completed it two days before the Polar Vortex blew through, and I could not believe how much warmer it was upstairs after these improvements. I turned down the heat dramatically, despite the falling temperatures. There were three crews doing these projects, and they all arrived on time, did the job in a professional manner, and cleaned up after themselves. In order to pass inspections, they informed me that I had to have new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors installed. I bought them, they were happy to install them for me. Joe was there to make sure the crews knew what to do, and stopped in afterward to make sure the projects had gone as planned. I couldn't be happier to have done these projects, and with this company.

Installation went smoothly except that the installers ran into some issues with siding (trim was not finished correctly from another company). This caused the job to take much longer than anticipated. I was not charged for additional labor. The wood is high quality, and the stain matches existing perfectly. We noticed the difference immediately with the temperature in all rooms. All drafts gone! I will recommend Twin City Home Remodeling to my friends, neighbors and family.

Joe Nelson first came to our house on October 21st; to give us a price on installing a new kitchen floor and just maybe widen the door openings to make the kitchen a little more open. By the time he left we had an open floor plan which completely changed our living space; we were excited to get going and in a couple of weeks the first workmen came to remove two walls and the subfloor in the kitchen and electrical people started working on changing and adding new lighting. Once the removal was completed the flooring people came and installed our new kitchen floor, which was very involved as it was necessary to weave the new floor into the old floor of the dining and living rooms. Now you would think it was always one complete wood floor; they did amazing work. All the while this was going on, Joe or Terry, Twin City Home Remodeling partners, would come out to inspect and hear from us how the project was going. We made changes and additions as the work continued and both Joe and Terry were always supportive and sometimes telling us why we couldn't/shouldn't do something. They sent us to places to pick out the material for the counter top and back splash and it was always enjoyable working with these businesses. We enjoyed all of the workmen who actually did the work on this project; they are talented guys! It was a wonderful experience working with Twin City Home Remodeling and I plan to call them again for our next project. I think what I liked the best about them was their responsiveness; whenever I called for any reason they were right there to answer my questions. They also completed the project in a timely fashion and that too was important.

Low pressure as well on other services that they offer which was much appreciated. Stuck to the task purchased. Came back with the full energy report and offered suggestions for improvement. Would recommend for this service to anyone.

Waste of my time. Electrician never contacted my wife. Last communication from company was as follows " Twin City Home Remodeling LLC 22 hours ago I will follow up this morning and get back to you. Thanks Joe." Never heard back Update: heard back from company. Considering completing bid process with them

We will revisit this issues in the Spring as we are not in a position to complete the suggestions he offered at this time.

Got a quote for the work my house needs to make it more energy efficient. Now I have to scrape together the funds to pay for it!

I liked the design plan drawn up, and we set a date to start. I was remodeling the home in order to sell it, so fortunately we had moved out just before they started taking out my kitchen. It's now finished, and it looks beautiful. They were responsive when I had problems or small alterations during the remodel. The few issues I had near the end were promptly taken care of. I would certainly use them again if the need arises.

We had a tight schedule as we were selling the home and they jumped right on the project and finished on time. Quality of work was very good. We also required them to provide copies of lien wavers, receipts, permits, etc, no problem, sent copies via email right away. We solicited three quotes and theirs was right in the middle. The owner came out, looked at what need to be done, assessed the work to be done very quickly and provided us with a number the next day. Bottom line is they did what they said they would do, when they said it would be done, and without that supplies at the end of "by the the way, it's going to cost a little more than we thought" Most of all, we felt like we could trust them!

We had several estimates before we made our decision to hire Twin City Home Remodeling. Although their estimate wasn?t the least expensive, we felt assured that the knowledge and professionalism of the owner, Joe Nelson would be worth it. We had a quick response from our first contact. Joe measured everything and shared ideas and possibilities right away on that first appointment. He worked with us to compromise on some of our ideas. He also showed us several options and ways to keep the cost down. Most importantly, he listened to what we wanted. Once we had drawings and most of the decisions made, the first crew arrived as planned with a dumpster that was placed in our driveway for only a few hours. They covered floors and carpet and really kept the mess to a minimum. We could hardly believe that the demolition took only 5 hours! These guys know what they are doing! I am very detail oriented and very fussy about every little thing. Plus, we had the added stress of having to go to the YMCA every day for eight weeks to take a shower! Terry, the project manager, did a good job of ?holding my hand? along the way, through completion. There were a couple of mistakes made and problems that arose as with any construction job. And, of course, I changed my mind and some of the plans throughout the course of the project. One issue was quite major. However, we were very, very impressed with how Joe handled the problems. He showed himself to be honest and a true man of his word (hard to find these days). Our new bathroom is absolutely gorgeous. All of the workmanship was pristine. However, Joe and the proficient way he cared for our concerns is the main reason that we would not hesitate to use this company again and refer anyone who needs a job done perfectly!

I would not recomend this company to anyone. No follow up to my request to call me or meet with me to review the project and his cost. I selected another company, A+ Contractor Services, and they completed the projecton on time, with a much,much lower cost and did a outstanding job which met and even exceeded my expectations.

Was a bit delayed because of all the rain this spring but that was understandable. Owner Joe came to house and gave a very thorough estimate. I wanted patio doors leading to back yard with steps. I otherwise had to exit house into garage to get to backyard. I had other estimates and others were confused as to what I wanted done. I thought the price was very good considering all I had done. Jason the painter who works with Joe was also very good. I would recommend this company highly and use them again for future projects.

They were very good. They gave me a lot of help in deciding on what needed to be done and what materials to use.

overall the company just contracted everything out. Contractor did a good job, the company however didn't stay ontop of much

We are at the planning stages, but so far they've been great!

Overall, it went very well. On the first day of demolition, the owner and the project manager both stopped by to go over what was being done and how to contact them if I wanted something changed or had any issues. Dave, the project manager worked with me to pick out the tile, vanity tops, sinks and fixtures. He helped me customize the vanities and had them built at their facility. He made suggestions and recommendations all along the way to help me save money or to make sure I was picking the items I would be happiest with. Everyone on the crew was friendly and very professional. The project was coordinated to minimize the time and amount of people who needed to have access to my house. Everything went quickly and smoothly and took about 4 weeks. Everyone cleaned up as they went didn't leave any messes. The bathrooms turned out better than I expected and I would not hesitate to do business with this company again. I would also like to add that I didn't make it easy as I changed a few things as we went which affected the price, but Dave was patient and made the changes that I requested without affecting the schedule.

They did a good job. Their widows were good and did good finish up work.
