+ -1 moreGary was referred to me by another painter who was not lead paint certified. Gary came out right away and reviewed the situation. He provided an amount and described in detail, the process. A contract was signed at that point and he showed up a few days later as agreed upon. My house is cedar shake and the paint was peeling badly. There were also rotten wood areas that needed repair. Gary did a wonderful job; used good quality products and prepped the surface by hand. He was professional, neat and polite. My house looks like new and it should last a good while.
Description of Work: Exterior painting of house and garage (cape cod style).

+ 0 moreGary was very responsive and was a great communicator as to what needed to be done. We ran into a glitch in that the sheetrock was 10 years old and so he ended up having to oil prime the walls...this ended up costing additional dollars but understood that if we did not do this, the stains would have bled through the paint. We are very happy with the job he did and would use him in the future.
Description of Work: We had him remove existing tape from sheetrock in our 3 car garage. He then retaped, mudded, primed and painted the garage walls and ceiling.

Description of Work: Gary Smisek completed a very roughed-in bath tub/shower area in two rooms. Completed rocking, mudding, taping, sanding, and primer for two bath areas and a wall area where a doorway had been removed. EXCELLENT punctuality and professionalism. On time. On budget. Willing to work with me to save time/money on project. Excellent communications to keep me apprised of progress and deadlines. Very realistic goals and budget. Clean. Keeps worksite picked up. Cleans up at end of work day. Thoughtful and considerate of trampling mud/plaster all over. Protects worksite/furniture appropriately. Gary also completed a knock-down ceiling in my kitchen last year; completed vault rock, mud, tape, prime, paint. Floated new ceiling into existing flawlessly.
