Guy was professional, responsive and courteous. His team did the work promptly and cleaned up afterwards.

No work was performed, but we were grateful that Guy was upfront and honest and will probably call him again in the future.

Handy Guy Services sent over two people at $30 per hour each. One worked very well, the other just watched except for the second day. The second day he did a little bit of work betweeen smoke breaks. I refused to pay full price for the secomd guy. I think Handy Guy is going to bill by the job instead of by the hour....that is best for all. The main worker did very well and is one of the nicest people I have ever had do work for me. Handy Guy and I parted on friendly terms.

Easy transaction. Called up Guy on a Tuesday, called me back the next day. Arranged to meet at the house in th evening, he came by and surveryed the job. Gave me a quote. Took about a week for the work to be done, but not his fault. The weather was either windy or raining. Would definitely use again.

Guy returned my call promptly and set up a time for the estimate. He arrived on time and managed to get the work done on my tight schedule. He wrote down estimates on a notebook and left me with rough figures on lined paper. There was no contract or more formal paperwork, and when the job was done he asked me for the notebook page to figure final bill. Guy and his painter John were both very nice to work with, kept in touch by phone, showed up as scheduled and finished the job within a day of the estimated completion time. The whole experience was like working with your handy Uncle. The room looks beautiful and we've already talked about several other projects that need doing.

It really well. He does excellent work. He is very efficient and clean when he does his work. He also very professional and courteous.

It was not my favorite experience. His quality of work was bad and not great. He basically did not do what he said he would do and missed appointments too.

I thought the quote was fair but we have not done the project yet. We probably are going to go with him because his quote was the most reasonable of the ones we got.

I ended up using another handyman for the job.

We had used Guy Johnson previously for installing a wood fence in our yard a couple years ago and he did a "beautiful job" on that. We weren't aware of his services for drywall until we found him on Angie's List and were thrilled to find him there because we were familiar with him and know the good, honest work he provides. We wanted the drywall put up before Christmas to accommodate family guests coming. Within a week of signing the contract, his workers arrived and had the job done in 2.5 days, just in time for Christmas with a few days to spare!! They did a wonderful job. Guy is also a great human being that can be trusted to do professional work for a good price. We already received another bid from him to complete our basement bathroom, so will be contacting him in the near future for that job. We highly recommend him!

Arrived promptly, finished the work in good time, took the gutter add-on with good grace and not much money added. The gutter work was excellent. The door work: I want to see some weather on them before I am sure, but so far, so good. I will use again in the spring for gutter work and, possibly some interior cabinet and sheet rock work, etc.

They shored up the house and fixed a few other things. They are really nice people. They are friendly and very pleasant to talk to and deal with. They had a very good price.

Responsive, friendly, professional, and pricing came in much less than what I expected.

This is the second time he has worked for me and he does excellent work. He is on time, he is clean and professional. I really like him.

As evaluated, I was well satisfied with the job that was done.

I thought the job went well and would hire them again. They did good work, resolved any issues I had and offered a good price. One thing worth noting, is that he is a smoker and would take smoke breaks. Over the days he was working on my house, he did leave the smoke butts in the area he smoked, which he later cleaned up. In terms of responsiveness, sometimes he took a couple of days to get back to me.

The job took them about five minutes. I thought they were a good company. The price may have been a bit high.

It was great! He was friendly and professional. I would definitely hire him again.

I was happy with the service done by Handy Guy. They provide a wide variety of different repairs to pick from and decent pricing. He is very knowledgeable about basic household repairs. They are very professional and easy to deal with. I would use this company again.

I had a couple little issues with my house that needed to be addressed. First, one of the vents on my house fell off in the high wind...and, with rain in the forecast, I needed to get this handled ASAP. Given my fear of heights, I didn't really feel like doing it myself. And since I'd be hiring someone to get up on a ladder, I also asked for a couple other projects to be done higher up on my house. I called and left a message on Tuesday...and quickly got a call back. I will admit, the guy was very friendly on the phone - and I thought this was going to be a very positive experience. Typically, these types don't always have the best customer service approach, but I was pleasantly surprised by his demeanor on the phone and ability to communicate. Unfortunately, this would be the last time I'd hear from him. He said someone would be at my house Thursday afternoon to do the work. This would be perfect, as rain was forecast to hit Friday. Thursday came...and went...without a word. Now I was nervous. I called that night and left a message. I called the next morning (Friday) - and left a message again. Not hearing anything by a couple hours later - and the rain coming down pretty good - I decided to suck it up and get on the roof myself and fix the problem. It wasn't the ideal, but a good amount of moisture was getting into the attic and it really was the only option. Upon finishing the project - I called Handy Guy again and left a message saying I'd no longer need any assistance. And it's a good thing I finished the project, as it rained all weekend - and then a huge storm hit on Monday. I never did hear back from the guy I originally contacted, but comically, someone who must work with him called me on Tuesday morning saying he was ready to fix it. I can't speculate on the reasons for the lack of communication - and have no idea of the level or work quality or pricing - but certainly it was a negative experience. I've noticed others have commented on this same issue in other reviews. The company's response was that no work agreement was signed. I don't know if that would be the excuse here, but I have to say it's tough to sign a work agreement over the phone. And if someone never calls back, how would I even set up a time to do so? On a positive note, I did make strides of progress against my fear of heights. It was empowering to get up there and fix the dang thing myself. And a lot cheaper, no matter who I could hire.

Great experience. They worked quickly and did a good job of cleaning up when they were done. The only negative I can think of is that I wasn't given a specific date that they would be coming, and just came home from work one day to find them working on my house. It was not a problem, just more of a surprise. I was very happy to see them getting the job done, it would just have been nice to receive a phone call or email to let me know they were coming.

He was very responsive to the request for an estimate. The estimate was fair. When I told him I would like to use him for the service, I explained to him that I did not care when he did the work, I just needed to know when it would be so I could make arrangements. He gave me an approximate 2 week timeframe before he could begin. That was fine. He did not show or call during that week. I called him and he told me the next week. He did not show or call during that week. I called him again, he gave me his reasons for not showing and told me he would be there the next week. He showed up to take measurements and I have not heard from him since. Very unprofessional on his part, especially since I was not pressing him to get it done, just to show up so that I could make the plans needed to prepare for the work done with my family and pets.

Guy was fantastic! He was punctual, got the job done quickly and accurately and was very friendly.
