Gutter Helmet Of Minnesota

The products of Gutter Helmet are wonderful, but the company is a little bit harder to work with. They are very adamant and only they can do the work. They are not as prompt. I love their products but they are just not as easy to work with. They are not warranting something whenever a tree falls on it. My insurance company paid most of it, which is the principal part of it. They just don’t come over the phone. They told me that they would be out in two weeks. That gave me time to have the shingles replaced. Normally you don’t put the ladder against the gutter helmet and I understand why because you don’t bend it. You have to have one of these ladders with these hooks that go up on to the roof and not against the gutters. With the gutter all mangled they can just go right up against the ladder and do the work. The product from them, I would recommend to everybody. I would have had stuff plugging my gutters and I wouldn’t get through it, and then I have a heavy rain and the water would run over and come down into the basement, it solved a big problem for me and saved me a lot of money as well. It’s worth the money but it’s expensive. They did the work but I don’t know when, because I wasn’t around when they came. They only said that they would come out that day, which they did. They were professional. The guy came out and gave me as estimate. He looked it over and he said that we would have to take the whole gutter out. This is a huge tree. My wife was in the house when she heard this tree fall. She called me later and said that she heard a huge noise and the whole house shook. It just broke off. I had another vendor who came to just take the thing out. I would use their services again in the future.

Overall, the job was done on time and professionally. It was completed in a matter of hours. Clean-up was done completely. The price was exactly as quoted.

They were very pushing and wanted me to sign up right then. They were 3 times higher than other companies estimates. I felt very pressured.

Overall things went well. I discussed with the salesman where I thought the gutters should go (I have an attached porch) where I was having problems with water in the basement. Salesman just went along with my comments. He wrote up the work order at that time and I paid 1/2. He had commented about liking not wanting to have to come back a second time as I made my decisions right away. The same day my brother was over and I discussed what I was having done and my brother indicated two more spots where the gutter should be. Called to get the salesman back which he did the next week but was not overly happy about it stating not sure when he would get back to my area. He stated he had an appt in Minneapolis and I said well if your in Mpls, you can certainly come to Robbinsdale as its on your way home. I got what I wanted/needed but wish the salesman was more proactive in suggestions of where gutters may be of the most help. I gave the "B" for professionalism due to the salemans not the workers - the workers would receive an "A."

Salesman was courteous and explained in detail the advantages of gutter helmet as opposed to other products on the market. Installation occurred promptly and in the time estimated. Yard was cleaned up upon completion. System has been working well for over two years.

Their pricing was fair. They did what they were supposed to do, and they cleaned up well after themselves. Everything was good. I would recommend them.

installation need some refinement after original install - water seeping behind gutter in a "fast runoff area". Gutter Helmet team fixed the problem overall works fine - the piece they added to my roof for the fast runoff causes ice buildup in the winter. Beyond that, I'm happy with the installation

They did a good job. We have had no trouble with the gutters since having them installed.

We did not experience any "high pressure" sales efforts during the initial sales call although, in all fairness, we had already decided to go with Gutter Helmet unless the quote came in way over our own rough estimate. In fact it came in lower which prompted us to have all of our gutters done rather than just those on the second story. The installation took place a little less than two weeks after signing the agreement.The installers (Jake & Adam) arrived right on schedule. They were both very friendly and courteous. Thay made sure I had no questions about the installation process. The entire job was completed in two hours. Overall, a very positive experience. As for the cost, yes it's expensive, but you get what you pay for and how do you put a price tag on having to hoist an extension ladder to those second story gutters? Knowing I'll never have to do that again is worth a few dollars.

The work was excellent. I checked Angie’s List for somewhere to start for gutters, and they were highly rated. We didn’t have gutters on our house. We had big trees around with junk, and so we wanted them to be covered. They were the first company where we saw every type of designer gutter; that caught our eye, and we picked out some designer gutters. That was one of the reasons we chose them. They did the gutter helmet and the gutters. We spent $5700 for the work but this included the price for the attached porch that they did. I liked the way they did business. They completed the whole thing in a day. They seemed extremely knowledgeable in what they were doing. It has only been a month but we are very satisfied with them. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

They were fine, and I haven’t had to clean my gutters since. They did a good job, and it has needed no maintenance since. It looks good on the house. They were a little highly priced, but I think they were worth that extra money. They had done a really good job on my neighbor’s house too. I had checked out a couple of other companies before I chose Gutter Helmet of Minnesota. I have recommended them to other people too.

I had the John the salesman over. The product seemed to be the best I had seen. I had two other companies do estimates that do gutter covers. This one seems to be the best with the best guarantee. It wasn't the cheapest but I am hoping to just do it right the first time. The guys came about 7-10 days later to install. They were ok, not as professional as the salesman but ok. They did a good job overall.

It went very well. They do excellent follow up on the business you offer them. The employees are extremely friendly and they always clean up what they mess up.

The salesperson was very good at explaining all the features and benefits of the Gutter Helmet system. He was a bit of the "hard sale" type which made me feel a bit pressured to make a quick decision. At the time that we had it installed (3 years ago) they were the only gutter cover system that would not void the roofing warranty because they did not nail or screw into the roof. This was the main reason that we chose to go with Gutter Helmet despite their higher price. We have been very satisfied with its performance overall, but still have a problem with maple "helicopter seeds" getting stuck in some of the holes. I actually think that none of the gutter cover systems handle the helicopters well.

We were tired of constantly cleaning out our gutters, and we had heard from friends who had Gutter Helmet that they NEVER had to clean out gutters again. (Gutter Helmet has a lifetime guarantee-and that guarantee is on the house so it transfers from owner to owner.) Gutter Helmet helped us choose a color and installed everything quickly.

The product was obviously of good quality and solid information was provided. It is expensive. What I did not appreciate and the reason that I did not choose to go with the company was the overbearing approach used. It felt condescending. I believe it is possible to sell a product without talking down to the customer or about competitors.

When I requested an estimate via the Gutter Helmet website, I got very prompt professional response. The representative scheduled for the estimate was right on time, very knowledgeable and efficient. I told him he was first of several scheduled bids and although he tried to find out who else we had scheduled and clearly wanted to trash others 'leaf free' gutter products, he was polite and not too pushy when I cut off that conversation direction. While the product looked reasonable and my interactions with the sales rep and the company were positive, we decided fairly quickly that the price was just way too high and got standard gutter replacement with the heavy wire mesh tops for about 10% of the Gutter Helmet quoted price. Hosing out gutters one or two times a year seems worth the effort to save that much money.

Get everything in righting, as far as warranties go. The man that came out was very unprofessional. He was totally behind his product, but was quick to judge other people product and work.

We have a 1200 sq. ft. rambler that needed just the helmets. Scheduled to get bid and was told we would get a discount if all decision makers in the household were here when they came to give the bid. The salesman, Joe, came out and arrived right on time. The bid for 167 linear feet of gutter helmets included the "Suggested Retail Price" of $6453.00. The "July Special" was 20% off, and the "Valpak Discount" was 10%, so the "Sale Price" was $4646.00 for JUST the gutter helmets. We were told if we sign the contract that night, we would get a "First Visit Discount" of 10%. He tried to get us to sign up right then and there, hence the need for ALL decision makers to be present for the bid. We told Joe we thought the bid was high but that he was our first bid. Told him that we had two more bids coming and we will consider his bid once we had more information and we would let him know. He became agitated and irritated, so he quickly gathered his belongings (even leaving his DVD player behind), and hastily left the house without even looking back or shaking our hands. It was weird. Gotta say, the sales tactic of this company is offensive.

Even though the helmets cost more than I had expected, the salesman was pleasant and the installer did a great job. The gutter helmets look good and are working well with all the rain this spring.

It was a completely positive experience. I was able to schedule an estimate quickly and the salesman was very thorough in explaining the product and not at all pushy. He did an excellent job explaining the history of the company and the benefits of the product compared to alternate options. The price was a bit higher than other options, but when it comes to my house I will spend more for superior service and product which this clearly is. Installation was outstanding, it was completed quickly and the installers were diligent about cleaning up any nails, mess, etc. I would never know anyone was even there except for the fact that my house looks so much better, and the rain doesn't fall between the gutters and house anymore. Best part is I will never have to get up on a ladder to clean them again.

The service was completed as promised. When we had a problem, the supervisor was there to resolve it quickly.

I was extremely put off by the extremely high pressure salesman. He was insistent that I sign the purchase agreement the same day, and wanted to use my phone to call his sales manager to bargain for a lower estimate. Even with the "discounts" he offered, the estimate was at least $400 higher than a similar product. I had to be quite assertive to get the salesman out of my house.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THAT WAS DONE.
