Rainbow Treecare West Metro

Rainbow was recommended to me by Bachman's. I called Rainbow and left a message detailing my problem. I received a prompt response. The representative was courteous and knowledgeable and after asking a few pertinent questions, indicated he would stop by my house in the next day or two to assess the tree and send me a quote. He was as good as his word. I had a detailed quote within two days via email. The price was exactly what I expected it to be so I signed and returned the quote. I was home when the first treatment was applied. The technician took the time to explain to me what he had done and what to expect, as well as give me an approximation of the time for the second application. I was not home for the second application but came home to find a detailed write up of the second application. Invoices were sent promptly for each service and payment processed promptly as well. I have found everyone at Rainbow Treecare to be friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

They did a great job. The person who came out to give us a quote was very professional and took his time to write out an accurate and detailed estimate. The job cost did not deviate from the estimate. I was impressed by how well they performed the work and how thoroughly they cleaned up after themselves.

I knew and have researched the subject since that they were expensive. The work itself was done well. It was done by an arborist as oppose to a technician. A real arborist came out here to discuss the whole thing with us. I do not think I will use them again because they are too expensive. There are no other reasons. I know I can get the same treatment done less expensively.

Took a tree out and applied insecticide on another tree. They also fertilize trees for us.

Prices are higher than average but reported quality is very hight from information I received from many who have used them. Depending on the project I may use them in the future. Arborist was particularly helpful and knowledgeable.

I have used them for about 5 years. They are timely. They know what they are doing. They have a guy that we've worked with for the past 5 years and knows my lawn and what it needs.

We use their services quite often, and we've always been very pleased. Ben, the arborist, always responds quickly, and he's very knowledgeable when it comes to tree issues.

Came and treated our ash tree against ash borer so the city didn't cut it down

It turns out that oaks can only be pruned in late fall otherwise they get oak wilt. So we still have to decide if we need to prune. Luckily it does not need to be removed.

It was an excellent experience working with Rainbow Treecare. The price was in line with other service estimates. The date of service was within the planned timeframe. The crew was very professional and easy to work with. The trees look great! What an exceptional job they did cleaning up the debris and yard. I was extremely happy with the work they did! I would definitely hire them again.

David came and met me to give us an estimate. He was on time. We have used Rainbow before so they have a map of our yard with its trees which is really helpful. We have not had any trimming done on our silver maples or a box elder before and both were overhanging the house. Another silver maple is in a garden area and we wanted it trimmed up to allow in more light below. We also discussed what might happen if we redid our driveway - the driveway company was reluctant to use asphalt as the red oak's roots appear to go right under it. David said if we did the root treatment we could probably take the risk and it would help the tree in the long run. They were scheduled out at least a month at that point, however, they called to come out 3 weeks later. I got home from work to find the work complete, and all the cuttings laid out neatly by the street. The next day the cuttings were picked up and the yard left perfect. The trees look great- the work blends in with the shape of the trees so they don't look like someone hacked off a bunch of limbs(as I've seen other trimmers do in the neighborhood). The oak tree trimming will be done in the winter, for $750. We look forward to that being as well done as the rest.

It was good. They were very thorough and they do full consultation before doing anything. I was not there when the crew came.

These guys are great, and knowledgeable. I had a bid come in lower, but will definitely keep them on the list for future tree care.

It took a few weeks for the arborist to arrive and give us an estimate for the work, but this is the busy season. The worker arranged for us to cut up and dispose of the limbs he would take down. He understood the difficulty we have had with our neighbor that has resulted in a restraining order being served on her. He was careful to avoid any problems (such as branches that might fall on her property). He waited until we had a survey done to replace the property marker that this neighbor had torn up. Once this marker was back in place he could judge the amount of trimming. The work lasted about 1.5 hours and it took us about 1 hour to properly dispose of the trimmings. The arborist from Rainbow was efficient, well schooled in his trade, and personable. He carefully answered all of our questions about trimming trees -- it was clear that he had both university and hands-on knowledge about tree-trimming.

Provide came to cut my neighbors tree early morning. Neigbor out of town but we have contact as we get along very well. First they came to my house to ask if they could climb on the roof of my house [it is two story building, approx. 60feet from ground level], I refused saying NO, you cannot use my roof to cut the tree branches, I could tell the guy was not happy. Anyways, they started trimming and cutting branches and I noticed that they cut branches and some fell over my fence and never bothered to pick those, so I pick some of the branches from my yard and threw over the fence so they collect all branches they cut off. Then they proceeded to leave TWO braches off the tree to cut BECAUSE those branches we mostly over my fence. In other words, they won't cut it. So I call the neigbor on her phone and told her what is going on, she told me to go and tell those guys to cut those two branches and I did and they gave me the lame lie that they are done with the job, so I handed the phone to one of the guy and said talk to the owner, and he told the owner the same thing that they are done [total lie] and the refused to cut the branches. They are still cleaning as I type this. Nasty people, with big attitide and I wanted people to know who they are dealing with. Glad that my neighbor won't pay them until it is done right. She told me that she will deal with them directly upon her return home. USERS BEWARE. Read other reviews too

The job was completed and excellent. Jeff came out after we called to discuss what needed to be done, our options and rough costs. He then sent a quote for the plan we agreed on. This was all done in a very timely and professional manner. Rainbow gave me a weeks notice after I accepted their quote. They arrived on time, notified us they were here, explained what they planned to do, setup and went to work. They placed pads below the crane supports so as to not damage the street or lawn. They came with a large crew and several trucks (think shock & awe) and quickly and completely removed the tree in about 2 1/2 hours. The tree was "roped off" and cut in two. Each piece was lifted and set onto the street. The tree never touched the yard (or the house). The additional crew and truck made quick work of the downed tree. Although the tree was cut up on the street, the crew made sure that the street was never blocked and neighbors and the weekly garbage / trash trucks were able to navigate the street without problems. Rainbow's quick work and professionalism made the pain of loosing a large tree a little more bearable. We have used Rainbow in the past and if necessary we will call them again.

Everything was excellent in quality. They were timely and professional, and they really know their work. The person I dealt with was Ben Johnson. He's always been excellent, follows up and communicates.

I like the customer support. The techs were usually very friendly. They usually come when they say they're going to come. There was a little lack of communication with the guy who came out and I called the customer support. I was told one thing the week before and when the technician got here, he said something different as far as what to put on the lawn. Whoever I talked to the week before would be able to spray for weeds. When the tech got here, he said that my new grass was just to new with that. He thought it was a good idea not to spray for weeds at the time. He came out fast.

I was contacted earlier in the week that the trimmers would come on Friday between 11am - 1pm. They showed up right on schedule, and quickly went to work. I was totally amazed at how well they did exactly as I had instructed. They took great care with items that were on my Patio by moving them away from any falling debris. Then they put the items back exactly as they were. They asked for input as they worked on the trees. They did not bring in heavy equipment but used ropes to climb the trees (no spikes). The trees look awesome! They don't look bare or all cut-up - very professional work. The clean-up was such that had I not known they were going to be there, I would not have known they had been there! (Smile) Later in the Spring they will apply the treatment for the Ash Borer once the trees have leafed-out. From the Sales staff to those performing the work, these folks were awesome, professional and I felt like they coordinate their efforts. You can tell they love what they do.

My oak is not very healthy and the choices were to treat with chemicals and prune or to give up and take it down. The man (whose name I've forgotten) did a good job of explaining what was going on with the tree and the options . Having lost an elm only a couple of years ago, I decided to try to save it. Rainbow treated the elm with two chemicals (one to fight the chestnut borer and one to encourage growth/health) in the fall for an additional $380 not included in the price here . This visit was to trim the trees away from the house, raise the canopy on the maple and clear dead wood on the oak. The crew arrived as scheduled and got the work done quickly and cleaned up well after themselves.

It went very well. I know someone who has used them before and they have certified Arborist in the University of Minnesota so I had to go with them, it was a referral, a recommendation to someone I know. The only person I spoke with was the Arborist who came out and he was excellent. I have learned a lot about trees and how to take care of them and what they needed and such. The actual people who took down the tree, they did some trimming work during the day when I was at work.

They are very good, professional and really know what they are talking about as far as trees. We did use treatments and want to trim on them and how to trim on them and everything.

We had been using someone else that we had out a few times. We didn't see much improvement and decided to use someone else. Rainbow TreeCare came out and after the first year we haven't had any.
