Arborist David Strootman was very thorough in the bid he gave me. The pruning/removing staff were very efficient and did a great job removing and pruning the trees.

I was extremely pleased with the service and level of knowledge. They were very friendly. They gave me a lot of advice on how to care for some stressed shrubs. I will definitely be having them do the apple tree next spring.

They were perfect all the way through until I had to have the stump done. It took them 1 month to do the stump.

While somewhat expensive, did a good job of describing situation with our trees and took time to make good recommendations. Would use again as they seemed very knowledgeable.

Both the arborist and the person doing the spraying were very professional, polite and took the time to answer all my questions

The price quoted from Rainbow was a bit higher than others I got, but they were able to work with our schedule so we went with them. The service provided was excellent. We were in a hurry to get our house ready to to sell. Ben Cooper was the Arborist who came out to give the estimate. He was great. He offered several suggestions for things we might do that could make our yard look better for listing. He followed up with phone calls and went out of their way to accommodate our schedule. The crew that came out to do the work was great too. They asked a question when they needed further clarification, did a great job (technically) and cleaned up well afterwards.

This would have been an approximate $1500 job. I won't call this company when I need non-emergency tree trimming because of this experience

I had a great experience with Rainbow, they cut down three large trees on a hard to manage property line. They did a great job; they showed up on time and returned all of my calls. I would use them again, I thought they were a little pricey, but they really did an excellent job.

Theyre really good with quotes and friendly service, and also very timely. Theyre also really good in figuring out which trees need to be trimmed or whether they have any diseases.

The arborist was on time & provided some useful information. The overall quote was about 50% higher than 3 other quotes. Did not use them.

We've used them for about 20 years and have been very pleased. They are personable, efficient, and on time. They've kept our tree alive and it is a very big tree that goes right over the top of our house.

Good overall. The crew did a neat and clean job of pruning and applying the Cambistat (which prevents crown growth and promotes root growth). The elm stump was left in place because the sales rep forgot to mention that this was a separate bid, and we ended up having it removed by a different landscaping service. (It was mainly an issue of miscommunication.)

I like the people I've dealt with at Rainbow very much. They seem to really care about saving trees and they seem to know what they're doing. They're also prompt. This year, they suggested an additional treatment in addition to spraying the tree--a treatment that involves fertilization and something to increase the tree's water and nutrient uptake. It's $200 and lasts 2 years, but I decided I couldn't afford that this year.

The man that came out for the estimate was professional and knowledgeable. Another company I had out said all my trees needed work and one needed to be removed at a big expense. Rainbow said only one tree needed trimming. The crew was on time, went right to work and was finished in less that two hours. Professional, neat in appearance, and the tree looks great. Their price was high, though I feel it was worth it.

Their estimate was lower by $1000 than the other companies that came out. They were very professional.

Declined to come out for quote. Basically said that they would be too expensive for my needs.

Set up visit with consulting arborist who arrived as scheduled in October 2005. We had a good discussion on the condition of the trees in my yard and agreed on a scope of work that included pruning several trees. He indicated they were a couple of months out with the work schedule which I indicated was fine. It is now March 2006 and I have heard nothing since our visit in October.

They are a very professional company to work with. Their bid was higher than two other bids I received, but they were willing to match the price. The crew that came out was very efficient and professional and cleaned up the yard well, even with the snow cover. The only drawback was the work was supposed to be scheduled in early December, and I had to call them in early February to remind them it hadn't been done yet. Once I called though, they scheduled right away, and the work was done as scheduled.

RAINBOW SENT LEBEN MCCORMICK TO OUR HOME FOR AN ESTIMATE, HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROVIDED A GOOD VALUE JOB COST (SEVERAL OF THE SHRUBS HAD A SMALL AMOUNT OF BRANCHES, HE DID NOT CHARGE FOR REMOVING THESE, JUST THE STUMP). DAN FROM RAINBOW OVERSAW OUR JOB, WHICH WAS COMPLETED IN A TIMELY FASHION. I WAS INFORMED OF MECHANICAL PROBLEMS THAT DELAYED THE JOB FOR 1 DAY. THE CREW LEFT NO DEBRIS OR DIRT BEHIND. ALSO, ONE SMALL STUMP WAS OVERLOOKED, BUT THE CREW CAME BACK THE DAY AFTER I PHONED OF THE OVERSIGHT.

TWO YEARS AGO, I HAD RAINBOW TREECARE TRIM THE TECHNEY ARBORVITAE TREES AND I WASN'T SATISFIED WITH THE WORK. THIS SPRING, I HAD RAINBOW FERTILIZE THE TECHNEY ARBORVITAE TREES AND SOME OTHER TREES. THE EMPLOYEES WHO DID THE WORK DID AN EXCELLENT JOB AND I PAID RAINBOW IN FULL. BECAUSE OF THIS EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE, I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE RAINBOW ANOTHER CHANCE TO SHAPE AND TRIM THE TECHNEY ARBORVITAE TREES. I TOLD THE ARBORIST AND THE COMPANY NUMEROUS TIMES TO SEND THEIR BEST TRIMMERS BECAUSE OF MY PAST EXPERIENCE. THREE EMPLOYEES CAME TO TRIM THE TECHNEY ARBORVITAE TREES. THEY WERE ON THE JOB A LITTLE OVER TWO HOURS. SOME OF THE TREES WEREN'T SHAPED AND TRIMMED AND SOME OF THE TREES WERE BARELY SHAPED AND TRIMMED. WHEN I CONTACTED THE COMPANY, THEY SAID THAT THEIR SCHEDULE WAS FULL FOR THIS YEAR AND IT WOULD BE TO LATE IN THE SEASON. THE SAD THING IS ANOTHER YEAR WILL PASS, THE TREES WILL GROW BIGGER AND WILL BE HARDER TO SHAPE AND TRIM TO KEEP FULL AND A NICE SIZE.

ORIGINALLY MET WITH MIKE TO OBTAIN A QUOTE FOR SERVICES. MIKE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE WITH THE TYPES OF TREE'S ON MY PROPERTY AND EVEN ANSWERED QUESTIONS I HAD WITH MY SHRUBS. WORK WAS TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN 5 WEEKS OF THE QUOTE. IT TOOK OVER 2 MONTHS BEFORE THE COMPANY ACTUAL SHOWED UP. DURING THIS TIME I DID NOT RECEIVE A PHONE CALL OR EXPLANATION FROM RAINBOW ABOUT THE DELAY. ONLY AFTER MY PHONE CALLS TO THEM, DID I RECEIVE A WORK DATE. THE WORK PERFORMED WAS SATISFACTORY. THE CREW DID NOT REMOVE AS MANY BRANCHES ON ONE OF THE TREE'S AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED AND ACTUALLY REMOVED A VERY LARGE LIMB FROM A TREE THAT I HAD SPECIFICALLY STATED IN THE PROJECT THAT I WANTED TO KEEP. BECAUSE OF THEIR ERROR, THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE AGREED TO A 10% CREDIT BUT AGAIN NOT UNTIL AFTER I HAD CONTACTED THEM ABOUT THEIR MISTAKE. IF I WANTED MORE TRIMMING, IT WOULD BE EXTRA. THE CREW CLEANED UP THE MESS VERY WELL AROUND THE ENTIRE PROPERTY EVEN THE SMALLER TWIGS & BRANCHES.

IT WAS VERY GOOD. THEY CAME OUT AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE AT THE TIME THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY SENT THE ESTIMATE OUT AND WE SCHEDULED THE WORK. THEY PERFORMED THE WORK ON THE SCHEDULED DATE. NO ONE WAS HOME AT THE TIME AND WHEN WE GOT HOME, THE YARD WAS SO CLEAN THAT WE DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE THEY HAD BEEN THERE UNTIL WE TOOK ANOTHER LOOK AT THE TREES.

THEY WERE PROMPT IN RETURNING MY PHONE CALLS THOUGH WERE ABOUT 3 WEEKS LATER DOING THE JOB DUE TO STORMS IN THE AREA, THOUGH THEY KEPT ME INFORMED. THE WOMAN WHO CAME OUT TAUGHT ME A LOT AND EDUCATED ME A LOT ABOUT MAPLE TREES. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

AMY WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL IN GIVING US AN ESTIMATE AND AGREEING TO TALK TO ME BY CELL PHONE WHILE SHE WAS AT MY HOUSE. THE WORK WAS DONE WITH MINIMAL DISRUPTION TO THE GROUND.

COMPARE & CONTRAST. THE SHEER CUT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM BY THE POWER COMPANY AND HUGE PILE OF BRANCHES THROWN EVERYWHERE, ON MY GARDENS, SHRUBS AND OVER IN THE NEIGHBOR'S YARD. OH, AND LET'S NOT FORGET THE DEEP RUTS WHERE THE TRUCK WAS DRIVEN ACROSS THE LAWN. WHEREAS I RETURNED FROM A BUSINESS TRIP TO FIND MY YARD NEAT, TIDY, PLANTS UNDAMAGED. AND A TREE THAT, WHILE NOW 'THINNED,' AT LEAST HAD REGAINED SOME SEMBLANCE OF ITS FORMER GLORY. AND HOPEFULLY, GLORY TO COME. NO SIGN OF THE CRABS, AND I DIDN'T NOTICE THE TRIMMING OF THE SMALLER MAPLE, A SURE SIGN OF KNOWLEDGEABLE PRUNING.
