Rainbow Treecare West Metro

It went very well. They had one of their representatives out to check on the trees in the yard. We were concerned about one leaning tree. They identified that the leaning tree had some cracks and needed to be removed. Another tree needed to be removed as well, and another tree needed pruning. In the process of removing one tree, the tree brushed against the roof and knocked some shingles off. They paid for the repairs, no questions asked. It was a good experience.

Crew showed up on the morning of 6/11. The job required a crane to lift the tree over the house, but I was surprised at how quickly the crew finished the job. Everyone was very professional and they were very open to answering my questions and addressing my concerns. Another crew came out about a week later to grind and remove the stump. When they were finished, you would have never known a tree had ever been there. Before having the tree removed, I obtained bids from two other services. Rainbow was very competitively priced. I am very satisified with work of both crews and would definitley hire them again in the future.

I was placing my trust in them. we chosse to vaccinate the elm tree to try to save it. They recommended removal of our elams and our neighbors. They came out to do the removal last year, and they missed an elm tree which is now infected and will most likely infect teh elm tree we were trying to save. They have offered to remove the infected tree that was missed free of charge, but we would like compensation if and when the orginal elm tree is infected.

This company charges $85 for estimates when most others offer free estimates. I didn't get past the phone call and will not use their services.

Al was the gentleman who came to visit and give me an cost estimate - no pressure and lots of education. Did not speak down to me, but rather talked with me - listening to what I wanted and what could or couldn't be done. After contacting several other tree service companies, chose Rainbow on the spot - they came in "at the middle" of the cost estimates - but it was the conversation with Al that I appreciated. He told me it would be several wks, and several wks later I rec'd a call stating they were coming the next day - they did - when got home from work - outside of the remaining tree st umps (which was my choice) you would have never known they were there. All branches leaves etc. were picked up - driveway blown off - it was wonderfully remarkable. Excellent company and will definately refer other business their way.

Originally wanted to get information on condition of Silver Maple, but ended up getting info on all trees and shrubs, including a pruning lesson. The arborist was very professional and knowledgeable, seemed to have a history of trees on our street. For a free consultation, couldn't be beat. I was expecting to be "sold" all kinds of things that "needed" to be done, but that didn't happen at all.

Great all the way, from my first contact by phone to completion of the work! The person at the office who set up my consultation with the arborist was polite, courteous, and informative. The arborist, Dave, arrived precisely at the appointed time, and did a great job of carefully examining and evaluating our trees, then clearly explaining how the services I requested would be done, and what the total cost would be, The 3-man crew who pruned our trees did a wonderful job; the trees all look so much better! And the guys cleaned up after themselves; no branches or debris of any kind left on the ground. Way good enough even for a picky neat-freak like me!

The price was about 50% more than the other two bids I received. The arborists was very informative but strongly encouraged me to treat for Emerald Ash Borer right away. There is a disagreement in the industry that it was necessary to treat at this time. I went with the service provider who thought it was premature to treat for Emerald Ash Borer and who gave me a better price. It's hard to know who's advice was correct.

Work was done while we were out of town - not as much taken off as we expected, but that's better than taking too much! Prices seem a bit high but they have been reliable and professional. No debris left behind and no damage to surrounding trees or property.

Rainbow was prompt in visiting the sites and sending the quote.

The crew came and let me know they were here. It rained the night before and the ground was damp, so they put plywood under the truck wheels so they wouldn't sink in and ruin the lawn. They trimmed the branches and cleaned everything up. They hand-carried the large branches to the truck and raked up the smaller ones. They left the trees neat and trimmed and the yard as if they hadn't been there. A job well done.

They are excellent and I've used them several times.

They had the best quote. They came out and did what they said they were going to do, and everything was good. I would rate them highly.

I would never use Rainbow for anything ever again. We scheduled an appointment for them to come out and trim one tree. The appointment was set for a couple of months later. As far as I knew they never showed. Almost a year later they show up and trim the tree and send me a bill for $800. I called and asked why they didn't show for the previous appointment, they said that they didn't make the original appointment because we had a car in the driveway (a year later they tell me this). Someone was home and could have moved the car, but they did not call or knock on the door. I also let them know that I was willing to pay them for their service, but the tree was barely trimmed and the branches were still hanging over the house and too close to the service lines. So why was I being billed $800? They promised to look into it and would call me back. They called and said that I had been over billed and they would only charge me $600. Since then I had Treehugger Tree Care come out do what Rainbow was supposed to do, plus trim and treat 3 other trees. All for less than Rainbow originally charged me. And they did an excellent job. Also, Rainbow came out to trim a neighbors tree and blocked my driveway with their truck. When my wife need to go to work and asked them if they could move the driver responded with "what do you want me to do about it". She had to call the company to get them to move the truck and was late for work.

Ken provided me a detail estimate of all trees that need to be treated. Due to our remodeling project, I delayed my decision for a few months. When I finally decided to treat the trees, I called Ken. However, he didn't return my phone call until a couple of days later. In the meantime, I've contracted another company to treat my Ash trees.

They have been taking care of the trees and prevent them from falling sick. They also had to remove a tree last year. They also do trimming.

They were outstanding. They were very meticulous in using their tools and getting the worksite as clean and orderly as possible. They were very good to deal with. They made sure we were able to get in and out safely. They made sure the animals that were outside were safe. It was obvious in the way they worked that they really knew what they were doing. They took care of each other and their tools. The worksite was meticulously cleaned up. It was very good to have them working around the property. Their prices are comparable.

I am very satisfied with their services. They have really good information and advice for me. There prices are a little high.

They are great, thorough, professional and sensitive to environmental issues. We live by a small lake and they take care not to put pollutants into the groundwater that would go into the lake. Every year they send us a plan in advance for what they want to do. They are very available to talk to about their plan. It is usually about $1000 a year to get all these things done.

I think they are good and really know what they are doing, but we were just outside of their service area, however they were going to do the work for us anyway. They marked the area, but they didn't tell me where the drain fields were going to be which would have left me with work to do, too. The process didn't seem like it would be simple for them, they made it seem like it would be a complex project and also cumbersome. I didn't care for that, however, they were great in all the other areas.

They were professional and knowledgeable. I think they were a little more pricey, but I thought they were more knowledgeable that other companies that I talked to. They also offered a discount. They were the ones that identified the ash born disease in trees.

I called to setup a free consultation for an ash tree in my backyard and asked that they look at the white birch while they were here as well. They were able to set a time that fit with my work schedule. They were advertising free consults for EAB, which they honored, but they also looked at the birch for no charge as well, which I appreciated. Scott showed up right on time and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He explained how the borer affected the tree and how their treatment worked. We recently bought the house and he even took the time to look at various plants in my yard and recommend how to take care of them. Once we decided to proceed with the treatment Rainbow came out quickly and did the job while I was at work. The entire experience was pleasant and I will definitely be calling Rainbow for future needs.

They came with two trucks to do work at the neighbor's house. They parked one truck in front of my house, and the other (including the wood chipper) in the middle of the cul-de-sac. They blocked up the area so well that the postal carrier skipped delivery to me and a neighbor. Spoke to the crew chief who claimed he didn't know that the postal service won't deliver to blocked mailboxes. A call to headquarters went unanswered. This company is NOT a good neighbor!
