Response from Rainbow Treecare West Metro
Dear Member, We apologize for the mix-up regarding costs. Our records indicate that you called for a tree removal estimate (with a possible need for stump grinding) on June 15, 2010- at 8:21 am, you identified Angie's List as your referral source at that time. We set up an appointment with Tom Carman, one of our ISA Board-Certified Master Arborists, to come out to your property on June 17, at 8:30am and provide that estimate (no cost was recorded in our records for that visit). Our records also indicate that this appointment was later cancelled. I'm not sure where the misunderstanding happened, but our policy is to not charge fees for removal/pruning estimates. We also provide a free consultation for all Angie's List members that we are proud to honor. We do generally charge an $85.00 fee for diagnosing tree problems, which include: diagnostics for all trees on a property, a map identifing all species of trees and where they are located, and a detailed proposal for recommended treatment. However, this also would be provided at no charge to all Angie's List members. If you still have ongoing tree issues, we would be very happy to come out at any time (at no charge at all to you) and make recommendations for your trees. We are regretful that you did not have a good experience with us initially. Quality service in all areas of our business is very important to us. We apologize for any inconvienience this may have caused you and hope you will give us another chance to provide care for your trees. Sincerely, Deb Peterson Rainbow Treecare
