+ -1 moreWe live on a heavily wooded lot and have had problems with mice for years. An acquaintance recommended Rainbow Pest Experts and spoke very highly of Scott Dorn. We found Scott to be extremely thorough, knowledgeable and professional. He found two definite points of entry, sealed other questionable areas, and is pretty certain that our mouse problem is over. Based on what we saw of his work so are we. We've made a few other attempts to address our problem with mice but found no inspectors that impressed us as much as Scott did. We would certainly recommend this company to our family and friends.
Description of Work: We called Rainbow Pest Experts to enlist their aid in ridding our house of a long-standing problem with mice.

+ -1 moreMatt came out to treat for mice in the house. Unfortunately he discovered that the main issue was the common wall in my attached garage. There were too many entry points for him to deal with as it was beyond the scope of work that his company deals with. He suggested I call Wildlife Management who handles more intensive construction type issues. He did not charge me for the visit, which I appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to call Rainbow again if the need arises. They were on time and were able to come out within a day of my call.

+ -1 moreThe technician had come before to explain his work and give us an estimate. He was on time, did what he said he would, appeared to know his business well, and seems to be an ethical person. Though another company had handled our pest control for some years, we were surprised to learn that they had never sealed our foundation. The price is reasonable, as it covers the initial sealing of the house and continued service through the rest of the year. We were very happy with Scott Dorn and could understand why his service had won an Angie's Award.
Description of Work: The technician inspected the interior and exterior for insects and rodents, sealed the holes and cracks in the foundation, and removed the leaves from the window wells. He treated every floor inside the home and treated the exterior to prevent any more insects from getting inside.

+ -1 moreThey quoted one price over the phone and when they came, not only did the price increase by over $400.00, but the rep said that they wanted $109.00 as a consultation fee. He spent less than 10 minutes and didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know. At my insistence, the rep did waive the $109.00 fee. Terminix on the other hand spent over an hour looking at my problems with carpenter ants and never requested a consultation fee. I went with Terminix.

+ -1 moreWe had planned on setting up an annual pest service in a few months when suddenly we had an immediate mouse issue. Rainbow Pest Experts came out within 48 hours of calling them and was on time. They inspected the whole house (inside and outside) and put out bait stations. They also repaired some possible mouse entry points around the foundation. Within a week, many of the bait stations had been consumed and Rainbow Pest Experts came out the next day (no charge) to refill them as part of their annual service. We appreciated the service and the responsiveness. They do a good job of explaining their work and trying to manage the pest issue, not just eliminate the problem once it arises. Price was $385 for initial service and $480 for annual.
Description of Work: Initial service was to deal with an immediate mouse issue. We also set up for the annual service plan.

WE WERE ALSO THANKFUL FOR HIS HONESTY ABOUT WHAT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM AND ADMITTING THAT THEY WOULDN'T BE THE RIGHT COMPANY TO RESOLVE IT. HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS BY PROVIDING GUIDANCE IN HOW WE COULD DEAL WITH IT OURSELVES, AND WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. HIS REFUSAL TO TAKE PAYMENT AGAIN DEMONSTRATED HIS COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. WE WOULD DEFINITELY CONTACT THEM AGAIN WITH ANY OTHER POSSIBLE PEST ISSUES WE MIGHT HAVE AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. WE WERE EXTREMELY IMPRESSED.
Description of Work: WE CONTACTED THE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH A MOUSE ISSUE IN OUR GARAGE AND HOUSE ATTIC. MATT WAS SCHEDULED TO COME, BUT WHEN HE WAS ILL SCOTT (THE OWNER) TOOK TIME OUT OF HIS SCHEDULE TO ENSURE THE APPOINTMENT WAS FULFILLED. UPON ARRIVAL HE THOROUGHLY SEARCHED OUR HOME FOR MOUSE ENTRANCE POINTS, THEN TOLD US THAT THE ISSUE WE WERE HAVING WAS AT THE ROOF LINE AND THAT WHILE THEY DIDN'T DO THAT TYPE OF WORK HE COULD REFER US TO A COMPANY THAT COULD. WHEN ASKED HOW WE MIGHT "DO IT OURSELVES", HE TOOK 15 MINUTES AND EXPLAINED WHAT WE SHOULD DO AND GAVE US SPECIFIC PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS AND DIRECTIONS. HE EVEN LEFT SOME POISON AND SEALANT FOR US TO USE. DESPITE OUR INSISTENCE, HE WOULDN'T ACCEPT ANY PAYMENT (NOT EVEN AN INSPECTION FEE) SINCE THEY DIDN'T TECHNICALLY DO WORK TO RESOLVE OUR ISSUE.

Description of Work: LOOKING TO HAVE MOUSE ENTRIES ASSESSED. MATT ARRIVED EARLY AT MY HOME DUE TO A CANCELLATION. I WAS NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL OUR APPOINTED TIME BUT ASSURED HIM HE COULD START ON THE EXTERIOR OF MY HOUSE WHILE I WAS AWAY. HE THEN CALLED ME BACK TO LET ME KNOW WHERE HE DETECTED POTENTIAL MOUSE ENTRIES, GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR THE JOB AND CONFIRMED HE COULD PROCEED SEALING ENTRY AREAS. WHEN I ARRIVED HE HAD THE EXTERIOR DONE, HE WALKED ME AROUND THE PROPERTY TO SHOW ME WHAT HE HAD DONE AND WE PROCEEDED WITH THE INSIDE OF THE HOME. WHILE IN THE BASEMENT, MATT NOTICED THE EGG SACS FOR SPIDERS AND GAVE ME QUOTE TO ERADICATE. I DECIDED INSTEAD TO PAY LESS FOR THE QUOTED SERVICE AND GET A YEAR CONTRACT FOR INSECTS (IT WAS LESS THAN THE ONE TIME VISIT). HE ALSO SET BAIT TRAPS IN CASE ANY MICE WERE CURRENTLY IN THE HOME

Description of Work: I HAD A BAT COMING INTO MY HOUSE AT NIGHT, APPARENTLY JUST TO POOP, WHICH IT DID IN ONLY ONE PLACE, ON TOP OF MY TV. IT DIDN'T LIVE INSIDE. I CALLED RAINBOW PEST EXPERTS AND SCOTT DORN CAME OUT AND, AFTER CLIMBING AROUND ON MY ROOF, CHECKING THE EAVES, ETC., HE FOUND WHERE IT WAS GETTING IN AND, THE NEXT DAY, CAME OUT AND SEALED UP THAT PLACE. HE ALSO FOUND AND SEALED UP OTHER POTENTIAL POINTS OF ENTRY. THE SERVICE IS GUARANTEED FOR FIVE YEARS. MY TELEVISION SET HAS BEEN BATPOOP-FREE FOR OVER TWO WEEKS NOW, AND NO EVIDENCE OF BATS ANYWHERE IN THE HOUSE.
