They were quick. I had somebody out the day after I made the appointment. I thought it was very affordable.

Provided a very thorough inspection as to where our mice problems might be originating. Pointed out several helpful hints that we could do ourselves--didn't try to oversell us on solutions, even though they gave us additional service options to consider. Respectful, courteous and thorough. If we can't fix the problem ourselves, we'll definitely have them come back and use their services. The Angie's List special was attractive to us!

The experience with Rainbow Pest Experts went very well. They were very helpful in setting up an appointment quickly. The representative was very punctual and professional. He explained everything he was doing and showed me exactly what had been done to the house, inside and out.

He (sorry, forgot his name), arrived promptly on schedule. He seemed knowledgable about pest control and explained things to me. He walked around the house looking for areas where mice could get in and filled them with copper wire. He then placed some baited traps in the house. I have noticed mice droppings and bits of bait scattered since he left but I don't know if that is to be expected or not. Time will tell if he actually fixed the problem. I gave them a high rating but won't know for a while whether the problem has been solved.

We live in a wooded area and have battled mice all of the 10 years we've lived here and always will. We are against killing and have always tried to mitigate our mouse problem by live trapping and releasing but we have an impossible time keeping up. I was thrilled to find out that there are companies that will do foundation sealing for you! We have used Rainbow Tree Service in the past and found them to be a professional company with knowledgable and well-trained staff so I felt I could expect the same with the pest control. James called before his scheduled time and actually arrived early, which was good for us. He was friendly and knowledgeable and completed the foundation sealing as well as discussed with me a particular area in our foundation that needs further attention with concrete filler. He even tackled a difficult area in the garage that eventually needs more permanent finishing but he sealed it off with copper mesh and silicone sealant since it is a major entry point for mice into our house. He also gave us suggestions for outdoor prevention such as moving our bird-feeding area and removing or moving shrubs next to the house, as well as pointers on where to place our live traps indoors. Given our location and means of mouse control, I don't expect we will ever be mouse-free, but his estimate was maybe an 80% improvement, which, if that turns out to be the case, we will be very happy!

I feel quite confident that my issue has been resolved, and I would not hesitate to have Scott back should I need additional help. I would happily recommend Scott and Rainbow to anyone unfortunate enough to require assistance with pest issues. Great job!

I originally contacted Terminex via their website and they returned my call (actually two people called back and left voice mails), but when I returned their calls, I couldn't get through to their extensions, so gave up and called Rainbow based on Angie's List reviews. I had boxelder bugs galore all over my house my house last fall/winter (tan house, sunny exposure) and had an intolerable number in my house on my kitchen ceiling, light fixtures, etc. and family room. I noticed my next door neighbor didn't have any, so I asked her what she did and she said she had her house sprayed (I later learned by Adams Pest Control); clearly it worked. I didn't know who my neighbor had used last fall, so I called Rainbow Pest Control. They explained everything and said they would also do a free mouse entry inspection for Angie's List members. The $224.20 price was net of Angie's List discount/coupon. I usually shop around for services/price, but since I already had boxelder bugs in my yard, I needed to get someone out fast, so I don't know if the price I paid is high or average. The service person (Scott?) was punctual, polite and professional. He sprayed my house and inspected for mouse holes (mouse activity in basement & garage) and told me about Rainbow's mouse control service and pricing. He also showed me the entry points he found and told me how to block them if I wanted to do it myself. Some of the holes are pretty tricky to find! The boxelder spray is guaranteed for 30 days, but Rainbow said that it usually lasts 60 days. So far, it is working. My house does not have any boxelder bugs on it and there are LOTS of dead ones around the perimeter of my house. The boulders in my landscape were CRAWLING with them two days before Rainbow came out to spray, so it wouldn't be long before they were all over my house and getting inside. None have gotten into my house yet :). I also asked about the safety of the spray around my dogs. Rainbow said it is safe after it dries (about an hour). They explained that it carries a "Caution", which is similar to household cleaning products and that products with "Warnings" or "Danger" are more hazardous. I still played it safe and kept my dogs in for most of the rest of the day and supervised them when they were out (fenced yard) for the next couple days to make sure they didn't walk near the perimeter of the house or eat grass, etc. My husband noticed a mouse in the garage about a week after spraying that was just running in a small circle; we don't know if he/she was affected by the spray or if something else was going on with him/her. So, always play it safe with pets/kids. I would definitely recommend Rainbow, assuming their pricing is competitive. UPDATE: The spray was guaranteed for 30 days, but was told it usually lasts 60; I had no boxelder bugs in my house this fall at all, so it did last 60 days. I had hundreds and hundreds of boxelders in my house the previous year and when I called Rainbow this year, I was already seeing thousands of nymphs on my landscape rocks, so I would have had an infestation if we hadn't sprayed.

Called Rainbow and scheduled an appointment. They suggested it was likely some kind of bee/wasp nest on the outside of the house, into the siding of the house (which was how they were getting in to the basement). Justin from Rainbow came out and identified the nest right away and took care of the problem! He was there about a half an hour... also provided us an estimate of preventative services on a yearly basis which we have decided to go with (price of this visit was actually applied to our yearly protection plan for a significant savings!!) Wasps were dead within a day or two, and I patched up the entry way on the outside of our house and re-painted. Would definitely recommend this company again!! Great work, and great customer service!

Contacted the company by phone. I was able to schedule an appointment immediately at my convenience. The technician came to the house, explained the procedure and then initiated the work to remove the wasp nest. The technician also inspected the house for additional wasp nests. He was very professional and followed up with me after the service call.

This is the second time I've used Rainbow (first being for rodent control), and I will continue to use them and recommend them based on their service. In both cases, they responded within 12 hours of the initial contact (once being a phone call, once an email - both initiated over the weekend). In both cases, they scheduled a site inspection and service within a day, giving me several options for times that would be convenient. The office staff took the time to get good details about the issues, and clearly communicated that to the responding service technicians (who then verified what they'd been told). The office staff was *very* clear about the costs and what variables might affect that - and the service technician repeated that. Both service tech's were very nice, very polite, and very professional - both took the time to sort out everything that might have contributed to the problem, whether there were pets or kids around the house, how often areas were used, what changes to the house may have been made that might influence the pest issue, etc. In all, a very comprehensive and easy to understand survey - including the service tech recommending things *besides* the service they offered (like adding dehumidifiers, changing garbage storage, and such). The rodent issue was taken care of with one visit (and I learned a lot about snakes from the service tech, who seemed to have gotten into this line of work from dealing with snakes and rodents). I'm already seeing a reduction in the moisture related pests, even though the service tech made it clear that it would take some time for everything to fully take effect. Recommend these guys very highly - as does the person who originally recommended them to me.

Would only provide 6 months warranty, went with company that provides a 18months warranty.

Denise arrived on time and removed her shoes before entering the house. She was very personable and knowledgeable, explained about carpenter ants, and patiently answered all my questions about the ants and other insects I had seen in the house. She even searched online to try to identify an insect for which I did not know the name. She explained how the extermination treatment of the carpenter ants would work. She indicated it would take a few days for the ants to disappear completely. It took about six days, but I have not seen any since. Even though it rained hard for two days after the outside of the house was sprayed, I have not seen any new insects in the house.

James did a thorough examination of my home on his first visit, made detailed recommendations. He addressed my concerns about bait stations being toxic to my cats and dogs (they aren't). When he came back to perform the services, he made sure I was comfortable with the pest control plan, explained exactly where the bait stations would be placed, explained what he was going to be doing, how long it would take to have 100% of the problem solved (3 weeks). My experience was all good with Rainbow Pest Experts. I am pleased with the service I got from them.

Did a great job. No sign of the little pests since the spraying.

Jan called to say he was ahead of schedule and could he come earlier. He listened as I described the noises heard and the locations where heard. He invited me to walk along as he examined the exterior of the townhouse and check the attached garage. He located a spot in the garage that could allow mice to enter and he found mouse feces. He set a trap and gave me suggestions for checking it and securing the spot. Because this is an Association-run community, I have to check who is responsible for fixing the hole.

Experience was very positive. Scott was very informative, giving lots of advice re: other pests (moles, bugs, etc.) as he did the evaluation. Did the job quickly and (I trust) thoroughly.

A few years ago they had come out and sealed the perimeter of the house as we had seen mice in the basement. It seemed to have worked, and after they left the problem went away. Fast forward, and we noticed that our unfinished basement again had signs of mice. Since it had been a couple of years, figured we just would need to pay for the same services again. But to our surprise the person who came out determined that the previous person had missed an area that the mice appeared to now be entering the house from. Again, we fully expected to pay, but based on the previous miss from before, he said he would not charge us. This is how you get repeat business, and it is so refreshing to have a company do the right thing and not stand behind limited warranties and fine print.

I was very pleased with the wasp removal--so much so that I signed up for year round bug control to take care of the ants, and other insects.

Rainbow initially did a good job of getting rid of the mice. They seemed very knowledgable of where mice normally would get in and answered any questions I had. I initially had a lingering smell in my basement from mice who had died from the poison, but the smell disappeared in about 2 weeks. I had no more issues with mice during that fall, winter and spring. But the following fall I had evidence of more mice in my basement and had to go out and buy more bait traps on my own (as they only have a 6 month warranty) and take care of the problem myself. I feel had I researched online I could have found out where mice normally get in, bought the silicone gel they use to seal the holes (which I did end up doing anyway the next year) and done the job myself for much cheaper. I feel that I should not have had a recurring issue the following year after paying so much money for them to come out. The job they do just seems like something you could do yourself (and I have had to do myself now that the mice have returned a year later).

Noticed carpenter ants in the home. From initial call to Rainbow Pest Experts on a Sunday to treatment appointment, was less than 48 hours. We were able to schedule a late afternoon appt. to fit our work schedule.The technician arrived on time, he was professional and personable. He pinpointed areas to be treated and did so thoroughly. We were told to allow 3 weeks for treatment to work, the three week period has ended and we have not seen any further ant activity. We would not hesitate to recommend Rainbow Pest Experts to anyone.

We found some mouse activities in the storage room of the basement last winter. So we had an appointment with James to check it out. He showed up on time and checked the house inside and out. It was cold with half a foot of snow on the ground but he checked the walls/foundations inch by inch with hands and showed me all the small opennings and mouse tracks he found. Inside the house he also showed me the tunnels left by mice in the insulation and recommended solutions. Based on his recommendation we waited till this Sping to get the service done. James come to our house 2 weeks ago and sealed all the opennings and placed bait boxes inside the house. He also told me what to expect after the seal out - we may notice some activites since mice couldn't get in and out and eventaully will eat the bait and die out. We did notice some activities and hopefully those will go away completely. Overall I am very pleased about the service experience. James was very professional and very nice to work with. I checked the sealed opennings and they appeared to be of good quality work. I would recommend this company to other people.

I had a great experience with them. They arrived on time, they did what they were told, they explained what they were going to do, and they got rid of the nest.

After dealing with some of the bigger ( less professional & customer focused ) National firms we thought we'd give Rainbow a try because they had a good rating on Angies list. They are very personable and are trying to set themselves apart from the larger National firms with good customer service and we like that approach. Technician James was very thorough and explained a lot about their process of pest control. So far we are very pleased with what we have seen and would recommend them.

The guy who came out was very professional and talked with me about ants and listened to my questions and concerns. They sprayed around the areas I have seen the ants and will come back in 2 months or so to spray around the outside of the house as well.
