Rainbow Pest Experts

Overall things are going great. I've signed up for a year contract with Rainbow Pest Experts. We bought a bank owned home in December that had been vacant for months. Upon moving in we discovered an infestation of box elders (squishing them in every room, constantly, 5-10 at a time!) and evidence of mice. After trapping a few of our own and making discoveries of mice remains, we decided it was time to call experts. We live next to a large wooded area and I knew this would be a problem. Rainbow was friendly over the phone and quick to come out. Justin called to let me know he was running late, which I appreciated. When he arrived he discussed the options and what they would do for us. It sounded great. He got right to work sealing the foundation. We have a large house and he did a thorough job. There was a section he was unable to reach (due to boxes, etc stacked against the wall.) He said they'd come back to seal it when we were able to clear that wall. He showed me where all the bait stations were and told me about what would happen. We caught a couple mice after he left, but have had NO sign of them since then. The box elders were gone within 48 hours. It was AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL! Denise came out just a couple weeks ago to do the next treatment on the exterior and also treated the kitchen for ants. Again, great results. So far we are very satisfied with this service. It has really put my mind at ease. It isn't inexpensive, but so far it's been worth it just for the peace of mind knowing that know matter what this house throws at us, Rainbow's got our back.

They responded promptly and professionally. When ants were still a problem 3 weeks later, they returned for a second treatment at no charge. The problem now appears to be solved.

Dave Groves, the licensed technician showed up early (which is so unusual!) and was extremely professional and friendly. He first started by asking me all of my concerns and where I had seen the spiders. We then walked through the house and he showed me where he was assessing my trouble areas to be. The entire time he was educating me on the types of spiders, their life cycle, how he was going to treat the areas, what the specific chemicals will do, etc. I really appreciated the fact that he didn't just say "I'll go spray and let you know when I'm done"...he really spent the time to help me understand my issues and most importantly how he was going to help me take care of it. Even more importantly to me, he was immediately mindful of explaining the safety/risks of the chemicals when he saw my cat! After spending a signfincant amount of time in the basement treating every nook and cranny, he then inspected and treated the remaining areas within my home while cleaning the spider webs in the corners I didn't notice. Then he moved outside and ensured that he trated the foundation and the window frames. I am extremely thrilled with my experience and will definately leverage Dave for annual service to ensure my issue will not return. In addition, I have tree and lawn care needs that I will now use their company for in the future.

When we pulled down the deck attached to our house, we uncovered damaged cedar siding. It appeared to be damage from termites or carpenter ants. Scott came to the house and did a thorough inspection. He determined that that damage was from an old colony. He did find pavement and field ants and gave me options if I wanted to treat for them. Scott spent a lot of time showing and explaining the differences between the different kinds of ants. If we decide to treat for ants, we will definitely call Scott. He did not charge for his time and he was extremely helpful.

I called the company and spoke with the owner. He was very helpful, and I was impressed with how knowledgeable he was. I learned a lot about the ant problem in my home. We set up an appointment for later in the week. I had a large colony of pavement ants that had taken up residence in my garage, and were starting to infiltrate the house. Justin, the technician, was prompt, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He cared about troubleshooting and doing a good job. I had originally thought that I had a problem with carpenter ants, but it turns out that they were pavement ants. As such, the job ended up costing me $179 + tax, rather than $279 + tax. I was pleasantly surprised at the lower cost, as I expected to pay $279, and would not have known the difference. I though that showed integrity. I would not hesitate to work with this company again...I thought they did a fantastic job.

Exceptional service as usual. I return to Rainbow every season because of their professionalism and knowledge. I highly recommend these folks...They are best of all.

James had been here before to do foundation sealing for mouse control and we have seen much improvement there so called back up for a carpenter ant issue. James was there a little early, before we got home from work, but stuck around until we got there (he had called, but we hadn't gotten the message). As before, he was knowledgable and took his time with us. We live in a wooded, critter-laden area and are on friendly terms with all non-damaging animals and insects, and as such, try to never use chemicals (however, in this case, we understood it was absolutely necessary). James understood this and treated only what he had to -- the perimeter of the house. One month later (and prior, I am sure, but just got back from vacation) I see no further evidence of carpenter ants in our home. Happy with the results and Rainbow's company.

We discovered carpenter ants in our home shortly before we moved in. Since we found them right before the Memorial Day weekend, we had to wait until after the holiday for service. My appointment was scheduled for 9:45 am, but when no one had come by 10:00 am I called. I was a bit frustrated to hear that they had lost my appointment, especially since I had stayed home from work to be there for the service. However, they were very apologetic on the phone and rescheduled my appointment for later that day. Dave was actually able to come earlier in the day than anticipated, and I was truly impressed at the service he provided. He was completely professional and very courteous. He answered all of my questions and gave me a good understanding of the situation and how to prevent it in the future. He did a thorough investigation of my yard and found nests in every one of our oak trees; he treated those nests and the one that was in our house (!!). He was so friendly and pleasant, I can almost say I enjoyed the experience. I also really appreciated the way he let me know about other services that Rainbow provides but didn't pressure me to sign up for them at all. Dave said that it would take up to three weeks for the ants to disappear. After he treated our house, we saw only one ant inside. It's been over two weeks and we haven't seen any since. I would absolutely recommend Rainbow as a pest control service. They were very responsive about fixing their mistake, and their work was professional and high quality. If I ever see anything creepy or crawly again, I will call them immediately!

James called said he had some cancellations and asked if he could come early. He then showed up right at the time he said he would. He carefully explained what he has going to do and what I should expect following the treatment. He also emphasized keeping the children away from the treated site for an hour following the treatment. In addition to treating the area where we had noticed the wasps, he took a look around the rest of the house to see if there was any other areas of wasp activity. He was extremely professional and courteous throughout his visit. We've used this company before and have always been pleased. This visit was no exception. I can't comment on the price as I did not contact any other pest control companies.

They have been responsive to eMails and phone calls. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

was very helpful.They came out immediately and looked around our house , garage.It was determined that the mice were coming into the laundry room downstairs.They set bait traps and snap traps and walked and plugged holes around the foundation.

Justin arrived on time and was very professional. He asked questions to determine what kind of ants and where we were seeing them. He treated with spray and bait traps. So far, we have not seen any more ants. We have used Rainbow Pest before and would use them again.

Rainbow's service was done very well in that they explained the process that would take place including the chemical used. I mentioned my concern for the plants and the birds and was advised that care would be taken in both cases. I observed the process and it was very thorough and was done with great care for our property.

It was snowing so hard that they had to take all the trucks back. They didn't do any work. They just gave us advice. They did the estimate. It was very good. We took their advice and used it. We got rid of the problem. We did talk with them and they told us what needed to be done.

They are really good and it's a great experience when I use them. I have used them three times. They are very knowledgable.

They did one treatment and the problem was resolved. They said what they were going to do and they did what they said they were going to do. The problem ended. They were very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. Their service turn around time was quick. I would use them in the future.

We had trouble with what sounded like many animals gnawing at the ceiling of our bedroom. We thought ignoring it would be the answer but it got worse. We called several companies. Rainbow was the most responsive. They came at exactly the time they said. Professional, explained the problem, the cost, and the entire treatment including prevention of further problems. He listened to me, and I feel really heard my concerns. It felt like a partnership. He explained it would take a couple of weeks to be completely gone. We also had a follow up call to make sure everything was OK. I would definitely recommend this company!

The representative arrived a few minutes late, but went right to work. He inspected the house for places were mice might enter and gave me advice on how to address the problems now and in the future. He plugged up the holes in the garage where the mice were entering the house. He also inspected the interior for places where the mice had been and set traps to catch any mice that may still be hiding in the house.

Ours was a pretty tough situation -- I got the feeling that the tech who came out the first two times had never seen such a difficult case. She spent something like 6 hours here on the first call, and at least as much time the second visit. But she didn't complain and really worked HARD to try to eradicate all the openings in our house where mice could get in. Finally Rainbow sent a supervisor out, who seemed to be less overwhelmed/more confident AND who helped put us more at ease. With his help we think we have beaten the worst of our issues. We will continue to work with Rainbow on a regular basis as mice are part of life in the country.

Their service helped a lot with preventing bugs in our home. It was wonderful to get rid of the insects! They do try to up-sell you more services starting earlier with sprayings. It was too much for what I needed. You do need to be a bit firm with them.

Very thorough survey and initial treatment. Addressed all questions and explained the annual program as well.

Rainbow Pest Experts came in and we purchased an annual service. They immediately found the colony of ants and removed the source. Two weeks later, some ants were lingering and we called them back. They came out within 2 days. Ants are now gone as well as the other bugs. Excellent service.

We contacted Rainbow because of signs of mice that we'd seen in the house and garage. The rep Denise arrived on time. She was very knowledgeable and pointed out our problem areas as she explained what we needed to do to resolve the issues. In addition to mice, she found possible signs of birds in our attic and carpenter ants. She was very professional and didn't try to upsell us. She explained that our best point of action would be to seal off the attic first (they provided us with a referral for a company that can perform the service) and then bring Rainbow back in this spring to seal off the foundation. She left us a detailed report of our next steps and her recommendation. She also provided information on traps to use on the mice right now (even left one for us) until they are back to seal the foundation. Overall, I was really pleased with the service we received and would definitely recommend them to others.

Very professional. Explained exactly what they would be doing. Answered questions. The serviceman filled in holes and cracks around exterior of house and in garage. Showed me where they were and explained things as they did them. Showed me where they put bait stations and traps. Said to check traps daily for about 4 weeks - that is the time it would take for the bait stations to work. Showed me how to bait and set traps. In the next few weeks we caught many mice but after the four weeks we've not seen any - that was a couple months ago. If we see any in the next two years they will come out again at no charge.
