Molaia Design took the time to understand our design taste and needs. We were provided options for and guided through the selection process in a way that resulted in rooms that suited our tastes and were functional, useful to our needs. We were extremely pleased with the results for each of the rooms. Molaia was responsive, prompt to our meetings and moved the process along so our projects were completed in the timely manner. Molaia also helped coordinate a painter that did excellent work. We would recommend Molaia to anyone looking for interior design services.

We were not planning on making changes to design right away - we were looking for a strategy. Molly walked us around and provided very workable ideas. She picked up on our taste very quickly and was able integrate her ideas into our vision. We will work with Molly again.

Molly rocks. If Minnesota Nice makes you want to scream, she's the decorator for you. She's like the friend you take with you into the dressing room to tell you the brutal truth. Even better, though, (just to keep flogging this metaphor) she took away those tired jeans and handed you something flattering, fabulous, and within your budget. In our diningroom she said, "This room doesn't know what it wants to be." In our living room she said, "This is beautiful but it looks like you're trying too hard to be grown-ups." When I said how overwhelmed I felt by the (lovely) antiques I'd inherited, she recommended covering those old chairs with awesome, fun fabric ("stay away from that tea-stained look"). And by the way, "those doilies age you" I wanted to kiss her for being so honest. The really fun part was taking everything off of the walls, and "shopping" for new groupings of artwork from our own (modest) collection. What used to look "cluttered eclectic" now looks elegant and gorgeous. Now I'm sitting in my colorful, sophisticated-yet-welcoming home admiring the genius of Molly's suggestions and appreciating her knowledge of critical details (like what kind of shades to get and how to measure for them, and what kind of lighting we needed). No time wasted on second-guessing my own gut instincts which--as far as decorating goes--gets me into trouble 50% of the time. I just wish Molly did personal wardrobe shopping, too.

We got more than our money's worth in hiring Molly. My husband and I had no real grown-up furniture, as this is our first house and no real style sense. We had picked out a couch and love seat the month before hiring Molly, but with a lot of disagreement and tears shed. When we hired Molly, she first came to our house to meet with us and listen to our wants and needs; she asked us our budget and assured us that we could do what we wanted in that price range (for the two rooms, between $7000-9000 total). The next weekend we arranged to meet her at a furniture store - we ended up going to 3 different ones in 2 hours and happily picked out a dining table/chairs, a media center, and 2 corresponding rugs. We would have been paralyzed without her help in coordinating the style to match our existing couch/chair. After spending nearly $3500 in one morning, we knew the extra $170 we paid her for her time was WELL worth it. After the furniture was delivered, Molly came to our house one evening in order to choose paints, not just for the 2 rooms, but for our entire first floor so that eventually down the line we have a total paint scheme with colors that we could be sure complemented each other. This took another hour. Months went by; we painted all summer long (as well as replaced our windows, which paused the process for awhile), and in the fall we called on Molly again to help us order window treatments. She again met us at a fabric store, and we fully let her take the reins, so overwhelmed were we with the range of patterns and colors. She picked out 3 gorgeous fabrics, and we placed the order for 7 roman shades, a bathroom shade and a shower curtain. She even had us swing by her own house so she could show us how the roman shades looked and functioned, since she had very similar ones in her own living room. Finally, she had 2 bench cushions and 3 throw pillows made for us through a connection she had (at a really reasonable price), and she dropped those off a few weeks later. Over the course of the 10 months we worked with Molly, she was warm and friendly, very professional, and very eager for us to get the room that best fit us. She truly got to know our personalities, and it was always a treat to see her again. We will definitely use Molly again in our next big decorating project.

Molly uses a pay as you go system and was always in communication about her purchases for the staging. She's professional and her excellent taste was the very reason our house sold in 16 days in this challenging housing market. Our real estate agent commented several times that Molly did an excellent job. She works within your budget and is very open to changes and adjustments that come up. I would highly recommend her.

It was fabulous. She did a great job, and it was incredibly reasonable, and I would highly recommend.

Wonderful. She is easy to work with and makes the experience stress free and enjoyable. She even helped me stay in my budget guidelines. Basically, anything I needed help with she was able to do or to send me to the right person.

Molly was fun to work with. She is very down to earth and has a great sense of style. She listened to my needs and wants and incorporated them into the design when appropriate. She was always accessible and on time. I have also found her to be reasonably priced. I look forward to working with her again.
