It went very good. They were accommodating. It's just sometimes it's hard to get some help maybe they could have more associates and be more attentive.

They did a great job installing a granite counter top. We experienced a stain on the granite in a week and they came back to remove the stain and reapply the sealer. Make sure the sealer is applied properly the first time.

Terrible. After being told one person would come, a different woman showed up. Our experience with her is nearly the same as another reviewer here that gave Home Depot Home Services a “D.” She was friendly enough - but we weren’t looking for a friend. She gave us a “ball park” estimate around 15K. We asked her to work up a couple other estimates with other options and were assured she would email them to us that night. We never heard from her again. Obviously because she couldn’t “close” us that night, we weren’t worth the trouble for her. Too bad. We went with Custom Refacing, LLC - who earned an A+ in every aspect.

When they came out to make a MEASUREMENT they got it wrong.after one month the door came out we got everything ready. Only to find out they sent the wrong door. Another month goes by and the right door comes. Now i am still waiting for my STORM DOOR. Guess what the storm door came in 09/28. But they are in no hurry to put it in . They don,t even know when they can do it? I don,t know were they find the contracers but i bet they don,t pass back ground checks?

We were given a free estimate to get our kitchen cabinets refaced through Home Depot home services. The woman that came out to provide the estimate was nice enough but we didn't feel that she listened to us. She provided quotes using materials we weren't comfortable using, and didn't give us an option of just refacing the doors versus the whole cabinets. At the end of the meeting she told us it would be $20,000 to reface our cabinets. We were a bit floored with the cost and told her we wouldn't be able to move forward. She used high pressure tactics in her sales pitch and over the next few days we received several high-pressure calls. We ended up using Custom Refacing LLC instead, who performed more work using higher quality materials for $7,000. Always be sure to get more than one estimate!

The first electrician sent out by Home Depot's subcontractor, Midwest Electric and Generator, had never installed a whole house surge suppressor like the one that I purchased from Home Depot. He could have but did not go through the installation manual. He called his supervisor for instructions. His supervisor was also unfamiliar with the unit, but he instructed the electrician to pig tail it into the 40 amp circuit breaker for my electric range since this was the only way he could think of to do it given that I had no openings in my electrical panel for another breaker. I went through the manual myself afterwards and learned that the surge suppressor they installed could draw high current towards its end of life. It had no internal shut down mechanism and depended solely on the circuit breaker, in this case a 40 amp breaker, to shut it down. I spoke to the head electrician at Midwest, John, and explained the situation to him. He agreed that there was a safety issue and suggested installing an UL approved surge suppressor that he was familiar with and that had an internal shut down mechanism. I would have to pay for it but they would install it at no additional charge. The second electrician from Midwest determined that the only safe way to install a whole house surge suppressor in my system would be to add a sub-panel so that it could be put on a separate circuit. He wrote down work that would be needed and took photos of the existing panel He said that John would provide a bid for me the following week. After no follow up, I called to see what was going regarding a bid for additional work. The person taking the call said that John would get back to me. He didn't. I called again and again there was no response. So Home Depot via their surrogate subcontractor, Midwest Electric and Generator, not only did an unsafe installation but then failed to follow up with providing a bid for doing a proper installation. I would have paid the additional expense. I am also left holding the bag for the surge suppressor that I purchased from Midwest. I subsequently contracted with another company that know how to do the job and provided excellent service. I would not recommend Home Depot Home Services to anyone since I don't think that they use qualified subcontractors. Home Depot also refused to accept my review but said that they would follow up with me. They never did. To Home Depot's credit, they refunded the cost for the surge suppressor and directed Midwest to refund me what I paid for installation. So I give Home Depot an A for their customer service and standing behind what they sell.

George showed me the products and made the sale. The thank you note says that US Remodelers Inc. is the authorized service provider for Home Depot Home Services. The following work was done: They refaced the kitchen cabinets and installed new doors, drawers and a tip out tray in front of the sink and made and installed a chopping board. They made and installed slide out drawers under the counter and in the pantry cabinet. They refaced the cabinets and put in a heat resistant laminate counter top. They provided a sink and faucet. Note. They do not hook up the sink. They require that the homeowner independently arrange and pay for a plumber to hook up the sink after their work is done.

Extremely disappointing. I was pleased with the sales guy, who wooed me of stories of never having to paint wood again, of a seamless relationship, how Home Depot is so much better than Anderson because as a franchise organization, Anderson often doesn't deliver. I wanted to give HD a chance, as we were looking to replace all of the windows in our house. I ordered the door in September. Only in late February did I get the desired result. The first door was installed by a man who showed up late, and took over 7 hours to do his job (meaning I had to stay at home for over 9 hours). He took frequent smoke breaks, did not put down dust sheets, and made a general mess. When he finally finished, I observed faults with the door and install work. Cracks. Split vinyl. Chips. Also, the door was not painted. It was unfinished plastic. "You'll have to do that yourself" he cheerfully told me. I was not aware of that and had been expecting a finished door. Perhaps my fault for not understanding, but I didn't feel that it was clear in the sales process. I called HD, and they called out a project manager who inspected the door. They did not offer to replace it, only to fill the cracks and holes with filler; I had to push for a new door. I asked for a different installer. Over two months passed. A call from the call center (not the project manager) came, saying the door was in but the new hardware had not arrived. More waiting. Eventually, the door was reinstalled by the original installer. I was at work, so did not even think to tell my fiance to ask the guy if he was the original! This second install had issues. I recalled the PM. Another visit to fix the lock and sticking door. Eventually, the door is as it should be. We then had to pay someone to fix the door frame which was damaged in the install (perhaps a normal part of the process, but it would have been nice to expect it, and the cost and effort that followed to fix it) and then we had to paint it all, both sides, frame included. During his final visit. I explained to the PM that this was not my hoped-for experience with HD. He didn't seem to agree. He thought they'd done their job, and even said "you must agree that we have done everything to your satisfaction". I would not agree that I was satisfied, and we only got the door in the correct shape because we pushed for it. He obviously saw me as a nuisance and seemed to be under pressure to close the job and get my final payment. Perhaps my expectations were too high of what this company would deliver but after this experience. we will never use Home Depot again for these types of services or products.

Ichor cut the hole for the sink wrong. My custom stainless steel sink would not fit so they had to replace my sink. They cut the granite wrong. There is a seam above the dishwasher after being told not to put the seam there. Everything they did was wrong. Now I have a sink I did not want and a seam above dishwasher that I did not want. I was very unhappy with Ichor and I would not use them again in the future. I might use Home Depot again depending upon who they use as their contractor.
Description of Work: I contracted with Home Depot and they subcontracted to Ichor Corporation. They installed granite countertops and granite backslash for my kitchen.

The materials for the roofing was to come on one day and the roofers were to come and do roofing on the next day. They came a day early before the materials came and with only half a crew. Between the materials not dropped off until mid-day and only half crew there, they did not get much work done on the roof at all. The head roofer told me that they would be come back at 7AM the next day and have the job done by mid-day. He came with a full crew the next day, over 3 hours late. The reason was that he a personal job to finish first. Between being late, machine and power tools problems, blowing one of my fuses and the head man being gone more then being there, the job did not get done till late in the day. Near the end they started to rush the job because they had another job they had to go to that was in the northern part of the state. I had to remind them that needed to clean up the attic after they cut out holes in the roof for air vents and put in other vents under the eaves. They swept the walkway and drive way for nails but left tar paper and the materials in the grass and around the flower pots. They were to take photos of the work to show the City Inspector or have someone at the house with a ladder at the house when the Inspector came to look at the roofing job. No photos were sent to me. I called and told them that someone better be there with a ladder when the Inspector came. Someone from Home Depot did show up but without a ladder. I had to dig out one from the back of my garage. The Inspector said the job was good except tor the four air vents on the roof. They were damaged and had to be replaced. The person from Home Depot told the Inspector that they would be replaced right a way. Over four months latter and the vents have not been replaced. They had a good amount of materials left over and I was told that I would be refunded for the materials not used. After the first bill came and It did not show the refund I called Home Depot and was told that it would take maybe two months to get the refund and I should be in the next statement on the following one. After nearly four months and three phone calls I still have not gotten the refund for the material not used.

Very poor experience. Labor-only bid was twice anyone else's, salesperson was not easy to communicate with. I was stunned to see how high their price was. Product selection very, very limited (for example, 3 toilets to choose from).
