Quick, clean and efficient. Would use again!

We used them a couple years ago and were impressed with their service, so in July we asked them for an estimate for removing a tree and trimming our shrubs. They came out a few days later, told us approximately how much it would cost, and promised to get us a written estimate within a few days. Five weeks and four phones calls and three emails later we still hadn't gotten our estimate (although they kept promising to get it to us). We finally gave up and hired someone else. We normally don't complain to Angie's List about contractors who don't respond since after owning a house for more than 20 years, we're used to good contractors being less-than-great businesspersons. But as former customers (our previous project cost approx. $1000 ) we expected more professionalism from Majestic, especially since they kept putting us off by promising to get back to us. We were very disappointed and will never waste our time with them again.

They came out and gave us a free estimate to identify and let us know if there was a problem with the tree in our backyard. Then they took it down for us. They were very knowledgeable and helpful with the inspection. They did a great job with taking the tree down and all other related work. There was a minor problem with grinding the stump over a month because of some communication problem between them and the person they contracted with to do the stump grinding. That was the only problem we had, but it was just a minor communication glitch between the companies. It got taken care of. I would definitely hire them again for some more tree work.

The enperience was fine. The came on the expected date. They also took care of trimming a small bush in the back of my house at the same time.

Very disappointing. I had a positive experience with the person who provided the estimate and explanation of treatment they recommended. They said the scale should be treated aggressively and that the timing of treatment was extremely important. They treated the tree first in early August and said they would return within two weeks. I discussed a follow up date for the second treatment, but no one showed. After two or three phone calls (at least once I spoke to someone in person and explained the problem), there was no return call. Based on the information Majestic provided, we should have had a second treatment in August to most effectively address the scale problem. Now I fear I spent $240 and will likely have the same problem with scale next Spring and have to spend more money trying to save this tree.

Rebecca came out the same day. She drew a detailed map of my yard and where all the obstacles were. She talked about the trees and the equipment needed. I was glad she was local, I liked that. She said she would get back to me by email after her partner took a look at her estimate, and that he would probably take a look at the yard too. I never saw him. I never got an email from them. Never a phone call. I didn't pursue them since I was disappointed at their lack of follow thru. So I chose another company. ( I said good on punctuality cause they came right out when I first called. As for professionalism, she appeared to be very professional at the time of the site visit, but did not follow thru.)

I faxed in an estimate to go ahead and have them perform the job. I waited over a week with no response so I called them. A couple days later I was called to setup a future date for the tree removal. It was a couple weeks out which is understandable, however on that date I received a message saying they had to wait for excel energy to remove a line in order for the job to be completed. I waited four more days with no contact from the company. I was going out of town so I called and canceled the job, which turned out to be the easiest part of the experience.

I got to know about them through Angie?s list. They had made a mistake and they came and fixed it. The price they quoted me was reasonable.

Bartlett contacted me at the beginning of the 'growing' season,since I had worked with them in the past, and recommended the ash tree treatment and the quoted their price. I agreed to have the service done and it was promptly completed. They've been the company I've used for a number of tree and shrub work. They've fertilized my birch and trimmed the trees and shrubs on my property. They clean up well, so there is no 'signs' that the work was done, other than nicely trimmed trees and shrubs. When my juniper was looking bad (due to rabbit damage), I contacted Bill Masterson, who came out, looked over the bush and reassured me that it is likely to come back OK.

They had poor (no) follow through after providing an estimate. They did not return multiple phone calls. I signed the written estimate for them to come out to do the work and I never heard from them again. They failed to show up to do the work. They have not communicated in weeks. Sometimes the vm box is full.

Majestic was responsive and professional. They completed the work quickly and cleaned up afterwards. Their staff seem very knowledgeable about trees and provided useful advice about caring for our trees and replacing the tree we cut down. I would use them again.

Very easy to arrange the consultation for noon over my lunch hour. The arborist arrived early and reviewed my trees before I got home. He was friendly, very knowledgeable, and clearly explained the primary cause of my trees' poor condition and what I could do about it. (They were planted too deeply, and one was over-pruned at the nursery.) Also discussed pruning, my concerns regarding clay soil, galls I found on one tree, and my shrubs.

It went extremely well. They used amazing climbing and cabling expertise with no accidents or mishaps. They did a terrific job on a complicated project.

I've used these guys in the past. (They are actually called Bartlett Tree Experts as of January 2009). They care for a large elm tree. When they've trimmed it I have been very happy with the work. They are great at cleaning up every last twig on the property. This year they gave the elm an injection to stave off Dutch elm disease. I had this done three years ago also. The tree is thriving so they must be doing something right! The only negative, and this is minor, is that it took forever to get the work done. (several weeks) I don't know that I can blame them though, what with the influx of the ash borer. They were very busy with that.and that's understandable.

They were very thorough. I was very impressed by the gentleman who came out to give the bid. The detail and discussion just in the estimation process was very good. I had three bids and this company was by far the most thorough. They tried to remove diseased areas of the trees and areas that could hit our home in the future were trimmed. They were here for a whole day with a crew of three people. They did a lot of work.

They were efficient and quick. The price was average. It was the same as everyone else and they were within the range. They did the job they said they were going to. The quality was fine. They were punctual and professional. I would use the company if I needed to in the future.

We received a quote from Top Notch (really Bartlett Tree Experts) in July to treat our elm and ash trees. At that time Chris told us to wait until the fall or spring to have this service done. I started calling in early September to have the service performed on my elm. Chris was out for a week. His staff told me to send him an email and/or voicemail - he was checking these and may still reply. I sent emails, left voicemails, and after several times waiting 5 -10 minutes on hold with the office they were to even leave him a message. The following week I left more messages on his cell phone and at the office. We finally connected and set the appointment for the service. I was never passed on to another service person, and was not sure why I had to wait nearly two weeks to finally talk with someone to book the service. The work done on our elm appears to have been done complete and was performed with care. The price was reasonable. I just don't believe I should have had to worked so hard to give them the business.

My main complaint is the fact that we asked for an estimate and were told one would be completed within the week. That was back on July 29th. Unfortunately we haven't ever heard back from this company. To be sure there wasn't a miscommunication I contacted them again (this time leaving a message) on August 17th. No response was received! For the lack of responsiveness and professionalism on your part we will be taking our business elsewhere.

I called on a Friday and had someone come out to give me an estimate to trim some trees the following Monday. Chris Romer listened to what I wanted and gave me a quote. I also asked for an estimate for the pest control besides having the trees pruned. He was able to give me a quote right away and was willing to give me a small discount if I had both the pruning and the pest control done. I was leaving for work when the workers came, but when I got home, everything had been done as expected. They also did a good job of cleaning up the yard. When the bill came, it came as two separate invoices. It threw me at first, and I sent in a check without double checking for the discount. After a day or two, I ran across the estimate and saw the written note about the discount. I called Chris and left a message. I also called the main office since I wasn't sure with whom I needed to speak. I received an e-mail from Chris telling me he informed the company of the error, and I would be receiving a refund for the discount. Within about a week, I received a check. Overall, I was very pleased with the service. Even though there was some miscommunication, the company handled the situation very professionally and very promptly. I would definitely use them again.

I left a message and Rebecca called back the next day. She said she could come look at the tree and I didn't have to be home. Within a week I received the estimate, which was competatively priced based on other estimates. Since the Borer hasn't been found in Minneapolis yet, and it's easily treatable, I decided to hold off on the innoculation for now. I would consider Majestic in the future, though.

They are very well informed, very friendly, and very prompt. They know a lot about trees and are very knowledgeable. They had given us multiple options to choose from, and I think they had even brought in an arborist.

Very well, the crew was fast and professional. Rebecca gave me some very good advice for long-term care of the tree.

The crew to remove the tree came in a 1/2 hour before the scheduled removal time at 9 a.m. to position their equipment and get prepared. The tree was approximately 80 ft. tall and in some cases had branches touching the roof. The crew leader introduced himself and listened to my concerns regarding the house contact and was very assuring that there would be no damage. The team set up the crane, wood chipper, unloaded a bobcat, and set cones to block off the area of the street where they would disassemble the tree. A climber was strapped to the crane hoist and lifted 3/4 of the way into the tree limbs. He positioned and secured himself slightly below that point and secured the hoist he'd come up on to the tree's trunk just above him. After a few moments of coordination by the crew lead with the climber and crane operator to tension the hoist, the climber cut through the trunk just below the hoist. The crane operator lifted the top 1/4 of the tree away from the climber - and my house - just as the climber finished his cut. The top shifted slightly as it was raised but in a smooth motion was pulled away from the climber and down to the street where two other crewmen started trimming off branches from the trunk with chainsaws before it was lowered to the ground. In the mean time the climber worked his way down to the 1/2 way point of the tree - playing a game of chicken with an angry grey squirrel - a mother as it turned out later. At the same time, two other crewmen were busy putting branches into a chipper keeping up with the chainsaw crew. This continued non-stop for almost 60 minutes until the final piece of tree trunk was cut away and hoisted to the truck loaded with the remainder of the trunk and other large branches. It was waiting

They were very professional. They were pretty quick from the time we called them to the time of the service. They did a good job, but there was one branch that I thought they would trim which they did not. I think that they were reasonably priced for the work.

The arborist showed up on time. He was courteous, professional and helpful. He made recommendations but did not try to oversell. The crew showed up on time. They were courteous and professional also. They offered to remove some accumulated yard waste. A very good experience overall.
