Bartlett Tree Experts - 91511

An arborist came to my home to give me an estimate for the tree removal work we wanted done. He was extremely knowledgable and professional. The marketing materials given to me were impressive! The extent of work I want done is substantial, so I got several estimates from different tree removal professionals. Bartlett was the first to give me an estimate and they were BY FAR the most expensive. In the end their estimate was TWICE the amount of the people I am choosing to do the work. They were way off the mark with this estimate. I will not call them again in the future.

Expert came out to give estimate on work. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Said he would email it to me. Later that day I left him a voice mail asking a question I forgot while he was at the house. Have never received a reply. I waited days for the estimate (yes, it was over a weekend) and finally emailed a request for the estimate. He sent it that day. However, since that time there has been no follow-up from Bartlett asking if I would like to go ahead with the work. I feel like my small job isn't that important to them.

I received a free consult from Bartlett per the Angie's list offer. Jon looked at all my trees and offered his expert opinion. My ash tree needed pruning and preventative treatment for Emerald Ash Borer. The other trees needed pruning and reshaping as well as soil testing to ensure they were receiving the proper nutrients. Over the rest of the year, Bartlett will be providing service to treat, prune, and care for trees and test soil on my lot to improve overall health. I've received the Emerald Ash Borer treatment thus far and the service is done professionally and I feel like I am in good hands with Bartlett. Soil test completed. Pruning complete. Bartlett's has also sent their recommendations for 2014 services and I am inclined to go with their recommendations at this time.

We searched Angie's list and we got good reviews. They were prompt, the price was right. The price was excellent. And their customer service was great. I initially wanted them to come back and touch up a few spots that I thought could have been done better and they would have the guys out the next day, no problem.

They've been fairly reasonable. They do follow up with annual recommendations. We have not done a lot of cost comparisons because we had bee sticking with the people that had maintained the trees for the last few years.

When a tree came down with a tornado they came to clean it up and were able to make bench out of it at a reasonable cost.

The service guy who came out was punctual and pleasant. He gave me an estimate on removing a tree in my backyard that was unfortunately higher than I was able to pay. I ended up removing some of the large branches myself with a chainsaw.

Bartlett's Tree Service responded quickly with the best estimate we had received up to that point. They arrived at the agreed-to time and date. They went about their work during our absense and by the time we returned at the end of the day, the trees were gone, the stumps were trimmed down to below grass level, and all was cleaned up very well. Great job and will use again.

I am satisfied with the services of the company. They were very good and I got the kind of work that I am expecting. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Everything went well. I left a message for Majestic on Monday and someone was out Monday to write up an estimate. We were concerned that the trunk would continue to split and the tree would fall down. The estimate was reasonable and Majestic was able to schedule the removal on Wednesday - just before the holiday weekend.

Erik Paulsen promptly came out to give me a very reasonable estimate on the work. He also made professional recommendations which I appreciated. Within a few days a couple of his crew came out to do the job. They were very professional, as well. They first checked with me to ensure what they were going to do was what I'd wanted and the way I wanted it done. The guys were very careful and respectful of my property and my neighbors adjacent yard. The work went quickly and they cleaned up all the debris when they were done! I had used them in the past and have been very pleased both times. These were among the nicest workmen I've ever employed!

I use Bartlett to treat my ash tree for Emerald Ash Borer and to fertilize my paper birch. They have also trimmed these trees in the past. This report is about the work they did on my shrubs and bushes. They needed trimming and I did not have time to give them the needed attention. I called Bill Masterson and asked him to come out and look at them. He let me know that there was a $200.00 minimum and agreed to provide an estimate for the spirea, barberry, cotoneaster and snowberries. After I got the estimate, I realized that I forgot to ask him about the maple bush. We exchanged emails and the cost of adding this was acceptable and I agreed to have them do the work. I got a call a day prior to the work to let me know that the crew would be out. Since this was all 'outside' work, I did not need to be home. When I arrived home, I looked over the work and and all of it was well-done, except for the snowberries, which looked the same. I called and left a message for Bill. He called back the next working day and agreed that the crew had missed it and that it would be handled ASAP. A crew came out and did the needed work on the snowberries. I did not downgrade any category, since I think that the character of a company shows when there is a need to 'make things right'. Bill was not defensive and readily stated that the work was missed and that it would be taken care of. It was and, to me, that shows that Bartlett is a company that take Service seriously and takes care of issues promptly and without excuses. All of the prior work that Bartlett has done for me has been quality work. I will continue to use them, as long as I get this type of service from Bartlett and will recommend them to others.

The Bartlett representative told me they were very backed up because of all the storms we have had so they didn't meet the expected completion date in July. I wasn't in a great hurry so I used them anyway. Work was finally finished on August 11th. The debris was cleaned up well and they were very easy to communicate with by email.

They removed storm damaged branches and they cut down an old tree that needed removing. They came on time and cleaned up well. We couldn’t even tell they had been here and they had to work around some things in the yard and they didn’t trample any plants that were around the tree. They were very careful and cleaned up everything perfectly. We would use them again in the future if necessary.

Did everything I needed done at a very reasonable cost.

Over a year ago, I worked with their predecessor company to have a very large willow removed. I found their work as well as their explanation of the work to be outstanding. We asked them to evaluate our entire yard and they tiered the services from "Really should do now" to "it would be nice to do". Every year, they provide a proposal for the things they see that need to be do. When there are things I believe I can do, they do not add them into future plans.

These guys were really great. Bill is very polite and helpful, and the other men that did the work were very skillful. Some of the removal was tricky, and they did it so as to minimize damage to other trees and shrubs, and cleaned up so thoroughly that you couldn't tell they were there.

Ended up not proceeding due to weather. Maybe in the spring.
