As always, Top Notch sent out an arborist within two days of my initial call. They told me exactly how much the work would cost and when they would do it. We came home one day and it looked as if nothing had happened to the tree. The cut (where the branch had cracked away from the trunk) was clean, and the plantings in the large bed around the tree were not trampled (not sure how they managed that). They're a little more expensive than some other companies, but we wouldn't use anyone else for our tree service needs.

We were very happy with Majestic Tree. Rebecca was great to work with, a very nice and genuine person. While the price for the removal at $5000 was not cheap, it was within the realm of reason given the technical difficulty involved. We had a lot of companies give estimates, and we appreciated that Majestic did not see our situation as an opportunity to gouge on price as some other companies did. Tony pieced down our 120-foot tall tree using only a chainsaw, ropes and a ground crew, and the lack of any significant damage to our yard was amazing! Some of the other companies we had talked to about estimates had told me that Tony was the best person in the Twin Cities (maybe the state) at this type of difficult tree work, which is one of the reasons we hired Majestic. He lived up to his reputation. I would highly recommend this company.

They cleaned up very nicely and they were really nice to deal with.

After treating the tree for elm disease the leaves on one of the branches fell off and they offered to cut the branch off but never followed though.

We made an appointment for the following Monday and their representative arrived right on time. He looked at our trees and made recommendations for their care. I anticipated that he would push their fertilization services, but was pleasantly surprised that he did not do that. Instead he simply told us what we could do on our own to help them along, and recommended changes to a couple of things we were doing wrong with their care. He also gave us an honest opinion that one tree was damaged too much, and why, and that it would probably need to be replaced before long. He suggested a replacement species that would have a better chance of growing in our clay soil, and gave suggestions on how to plant it to give it a head-start.

Excellent. They were extremely knowledgable and trimmed up three arbor vitaes that had been neglected. One of them had been damaged due to sleet and ice and they did a nice job of splinting it back together. Plus, they identified bugs on one of our shrubs that were killing it, which we hadn't even noticed.

While the other companies kept telling me to expect minor to moderate damage to our new fence, Rebecca was confident that her crew could do the work without damage to our fence. The crew came out as scheduled even though the Metro had suffered a lot of downed trees due to high winds that week. They trimmed the Locust beautifully and trimmed the Maple over the parking pad. Unfortunately, the crew overlooked the raising of the canopy over the yard. I noticed this after they left and put in a call to Majestic. It took a little longer than I thought it should have to hear back, and two more calls from me, but they did send a crew out quickly and the job was completed to my full satisfaction. Fence as pristine as ever! Also, I got a call from the other owner (Elizabeth?) and she apologized for the delay and have adjusted their policy so that all calls are returned within a (I think) 72 hour timeframe. Overall, we were very pleased with Majestic Tree Care.

Crew arrived on time, worked hard and did a good job. Our house has poor access (several steps up the front), and the tree was very close to our house and the neighbor's house. The crew had no problem dealing with this-took the tree apart piece by piece and hauled everything down the front steps. Everything went without a hitch and everything was left clean as a whistle.

We have been customers of Top Notch for three or four years. In April we recieved a letter recommending that one tree in particular in our heavily wooded lot be fertilized, because it had been stressed due to necessary pruning. We sent in the check late April for the work. Five weeks later I hadn't heard anything from the company about scheduling the work. I called them, and was told they would see what they could do to move me up from the bottom of the list. (this was five weeks after sending in our payment for service not recieved...and we're on the bottom of the list?) I sent an email to the company asking for someone to please contact me. Finally about a week later I got a call from the owner of the company, who apologized for not responding to the email-they'd changed service providers. I was really surprised by the slow response; previous contact with this company had been quick and thorough. The fertilization has since been completed satisfactorily.

Called the company for an estimate. Someone came out and completed the estimate within a couple days. The rate was reasonable. There was a slight delay in getting things scheduled, but the work was completed in a reasonable amount of time. I asked for removal of buckthorn, and that is what I got. It would have been nice if they would have taken out the woodvine too, but I didn't ask for that.

I will be using them again in a few weeks. They did excellent work. They did a ton of work and you could barely tell they were here except for missing trees. They put boards down on the lawn to make sure there were no tire tracks. I was extremely pleased. I would recommend them.

Excellent. Phone calls were timely and the people I spoke to were very courteous. The arbor's very knowledgeable. Prices were very competitive. Clean up was terrific considering the snow and weather (it was February when I had it done). Highly recommended.

Work went as expected. Clean-up afterward was excellent.

I received my a quote on Thursday and they came out Friday to do the work. I wasn't required to be at home during the work which was very nice. Overall, I am very happy with the work they completed and would use them again.

In November 2005, after the tree had storm damage, I asked someone to come look at the tree and recommend next steps. Rebecca took a look and recommended that the tree be removed because of decay. I put off the inevitable and called in February 2007 to have it removed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that she honored her original estimate to remove the tree and gave me the 10% February discount on the removal. When I authorized the work, I was given a one week window for the removal. During that week, we had record cold temperatures and they called to let me know the removal would happen when things warmed up a bit. Less than 2 weeks after my call, the tree was removed. I was surprised at how clean my yard was. All the branches and shavings were removed. The bill was left in my door. I will also have them remove the stump at a later date and replant this spring.

Top Notch called and indicated they would trim my tree on a specific day and did not show up. When I called to find out what happened they put me at the end of the list (3 weeks). As a result, I indicated this would be to late in the winter to trim Oak trees.

Rebecca, the owner, got the address wrong so she estimated for another house, but we got that straightened out in a day or two. She was prompt, easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and I received the estimate within 24 hours. I told her one reason I was getting two of the trees cut was to prepare for the possibility of solar panels on my roof. She then went to the solar guy I named and got his advice on the tree removal. I appreciate that kind of attention. The only reason I went with another bid was that it was about $150 lower. I have a very good impression of Rebecca and Majestic.

Brilliantly! Rebecca diverted a crew from a routine trimming elsewhere to swing by my place and handle the storm damage. It was all arranged and executed within a day, at a very reasonable price. They were thorough, and did a great job of cleaning up, sweeping up bits from the driveway, etc. And I appreciated Rebecca's assessment of my other trees - helpful, absolutely no push to sell me anything, just a valuable consultation while she was on the property. Their quick response made it possible to get other damage (downed cables, etc.) repaired much more easily and quickly.

Rebecca was extremely professional, helpful, and candid. She suggested the removal of the (ugly) Russian olive tree as a way to get our money's worth (the company has a $250 minimum pruning fee and the pruning of the maple tree would have cost only $185 by itself). I went with a company who was willing to charge less than $250 just for the maple, but I will definitely seek estimates from Rebecca in the future.

I called for an estimate to remove branches hanging too close to a roof. Other companies got their bids in faster, but those also tried to inflate the job by recommending removal of trees (some in poor health; some simply a bit close to the garage). Top Notch sent a professional estimate for doing the job I requested. Their site map was also the most accurate, so they obviously take their time to do it right. I gave the go ahead on 9/26 and was told the work would likely be done within 2 weeks. On 10/12 I called and was told the work was scheduled for 10/23, since that was seasonal pruning time. The friendly crew arrived on 10/23 and did an excellent job. I was at the house, and they verified what I wanted and made sure I was satisfied with the work. They also did a good job cleaning up the brush. I would definitely use this company again.

Erik came out for estimate and was on time. They were able to do the job with in 5 days. Got estimate on other tree work and will hire them in the spring for that. Addressed some issues with our trees while was here.
