Yolanda's Housecleaning & Painting Services

We have used Yolanda for almost two years for regular house cleaning. Yolanda and her crew do a great job and are very fast - less than an hour to clean 1,500 sq feet (although we only have on bathroom). I would highly recommend her - she has the best rates you are going to find. One important note, if you will be spending over $1,800 a year on her cleaning services, you need to declare her as an employee on your tax return. I found this process to be fairly straightforward after a little research online, and it's much more cost effective than hiring a company that charges twice the rates to take care of a pretty easy administrative tax process.

Yolanda and her team arrived right on time and did a very thorough job. I needed a one time cleaning before hosting a grad party. I have 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 3 teenagers and two big dogs so its not an easy home to clean...When they were finished I couldnt find anything that had been overlooked and was very surprised by all the little extras that had been done...all the ceiling fans had been cleaned, my kitchen windows and screens! even the inside of the fridge had been cleaned. Yolanda did a great job and did it wih a smile. She is wonderful to work with. I have used her once before and will definitely use her again. I highly recommend her services.

Each time her crew has provided excellent service whereas some housekeepers seem to drop their level of service after the 2nd or 3rd visit. We will keep using her and would recommend! UPDATE: Yolanda stopped coming and was just sending her crew. When this happened, the quality really fell off. We left specific lists a few times and the team kept missing (basics like clean bathroom floor). Sadly, we had to part ways.

We started using Yolanda's Housecleaning several months ago, and they do excellent work! We had used a variety of other services, but all of them ended up being overpriced, inconsistent, or lacked quality. I was really happy to find Yolanda and her crew! They clean for us once a month, and they do excellent work for a great price! Yolanda and her helpers all pay great attention to detail, and they leave the house spotless and smelling fresh & clean! It has been a pleasure working with Yolanda, and she has been flexible to our changing schedule. She always has a smile, even on days where our house is a disaster! We have now referred her to a few friends, and they have all been happy with her housecleaning, as well! I look forward to them coming to clean every month!

We called Saturday night to see if Yolanda could send someone over Sunday a.m. for an emergency thorough cleaning of a small semi-walkout level that we had rented to someone who, when they started to move in, found it in less than satisfactory condition. Yolanda and her crew arrived as planned on Sunday a.m., and they cleaned appliances, floors, windows, etc. When they left the place was in MUCH better condition, and the tenants were pleased when they came the next day and found the unit in much better condition.

I received good service from Yolanda and her crew. She usually completed the house in an hour or two, depending how many people were on her crew that day. I had her come while I was at work, and the house was always done by the time I got home. I have a dog, and she had no problem with working around him since he is not kenneled. If I had a concern or an area that needed to be worked on, I would sometimes leave a note, but found that a phone call was a more effective form of communication. However, I did notice some inconsistencies in the quality of work from week to week-- sometimes the house would be especially clean, but other times some things would be missed. Nothing major, but noticeable. Overall, her services were an excellent value. I ended up discontinuing service with her for personal reasons.

Yolanda and her team do a wonderful job of coming to our house every 3 weeks and doing a wonderful clean that doesn't take forever. She and her team are great with our dog and our 10 month old. They are very respectful and the house looks wonderful when they are done!

The work Yolanda and crew provided was amazing. Because they were in the area, they asked if they could come earlier than expected. Not having "straightened up" before they came, I let her know it wasn't quite ready, but they could get started and I would straighten up as soon as I got home so they could continue. The cleaning crew did much more than standard cleaning and even covered areas that my previous cleaning crews always seem to miss. They take great pride in their work and I have already asked them to come back next month. KUDOS to Yolanda and her crew!

Yolanda is fantastic. I called her for an estimate and she came the same day. We have had cleaners in the past and haven't been thrilled about them. Yolanda did such a thorough job with our house. She will clean our house every 2 weeks and we couldn't be more happy. She is punctual and very friendly. Her crew is very efficient and didn't mind having dogs in the house. I Highly recommend her.

Yolanda came, went through the house, gave us an estimate and started the next week. She comes during the day when we are at work and we come home to a clean house., We have cats, and they are totally relaxed as opposed to when we have had people in the house before. We are very pleased with her work.

Yolanda and her team do such a great job with our home. We have roughly 3700 sq ft, three dogs and three children. Yolanda is great about doing extra jobs when asked and is willing to listen if we need her to do something different. She is great about changing her routine and still finishing the job in a timely manner. Yolanda is flexible and has always been able to accommodate a schedule change when I needed one. She also does our bedding and has been open to cooking for us if needed. We are truly blessed to have her. Her schedule fills up quickly as she cleans for several people all over the twin cities so if you are looking for a housekeeper you should call her sooner rather than later as you may miss an the opportunity to become a client of hers. She is a lifesaver for a busy working mother of three! She is trustworthy and reasonably priced. Thank you Yolanda!

They did a pretty good job. They were quiet and worked pretty fast. They were economical.

I was moving and had to be out of my rental by noon on 11/31. I had called a national happy maid service a few weeks earlier and scheduled a morning cleaning on Monday 11/31. On 10/28, Friday, I contacted the maid company and asked for a time. They said I would give me a call on Sunday (24 hours notice) of the time they were coming, but I asked to be called with an early notice, since it would be a Sunday. They did not get back to me. I called again later that Friday evening, advising how critical it was that they get back to me with a time, and they did not get back to me. Since I was lacking in confidence with them, at this point, I decided to go through the Angies List to see if anyone would answer my call at 6pm on a Friday. Yolanda answered my call, and even at the last minute, agreed to squeeze me into her Sunday afternoon. Yolanda was on time (early)and listened to what I especially needed done for the "move-out cleaning." Everything was done, and more. The house smelled great and she was timely on getting it finished. Moving is stressful, and Yolanda really helped make the process easier, knowing that the house was clean, before the noon requirement the next day. We are talking about having her clean my new house for me, when I can actually see the floor, and not boxes everywhere. PS: The maid company called at 815am, Monday, to say they would be at the house at 10am. Needless to say, I let them know they would not be coming.

I called Yolanda after we purchased our home after reading about her on this site. She *promptly* returned my call and scheduled a meeting with me to view the home and go over my expectations. I had also previously interviewed other companies as well. I was the most impressed with Yolanda, her willingness to help, her attitude, her knowledge and her overall demeanor. We scheduled a cleaning day and she was at home promptly at the time she scheduled (early before 0700 am). She performed an outstanding job and it was a no brainer to have her come on a weekly basis. She cleans a VERY LARGE home that is over 7000 square feet of livable space and has one additional helper. She is thorough, will tackle any job you ask her if she can do it, thoughtful about our dogs, extremely reliable and trustworthy, knows how to get rid of problems (washer with some type of rust stain), and a joy to work with. I cannot say enough good things about Yolanda. If you do not hire her it's your loss :)

Yolanda has been cleaning my house weekly for three years. She is a great housecleaner! She is hard working, efficient, thorough, punctual, professional, and very pleasant to work with. She cleans my house once a week, and if I ask her to do a special cleaning project or to concentrate on a specific area, she is very accommodating. Wednesday is my favorite day of the week, because that's when Yolanda comes and makes my house sparkle!

Yolanda has been cleaning our house for many years. A year ago she moved away and we missed her services. She has now moved back and we are pleased to have her return to clean our contemporary 2800 sq ft home. I submitted a previous report on Angies List several years ago, but will re-iterate that we had previously been disappointed with other cleaning services and found we could not trust them or rely on them. Her work is excellent, her rates are fair (and unchanged all these years), and even though she must travel to our suburban home, she is reliable. Her first language is Spanish, but she speaks English just fine; she studied and became a naturalized US citizen two years ago, a point of modest pride for her. She is hard-working and warm-hearted.

Yolanda is very thorough and very professional. She consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty. She cares about her work and does whatever it takes to make sure the job is done right. She is a hard-worker and she never complains. She is reliable and trustworthy. I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in hiring a housekeeper.

Yolanda has been cleaning our home weekly for about a year and I definitely would recommend her. She is dependable, trustworthy and does a nice job cleaning our home. We have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house with 2 dogs and a cat and she is great with the pets (they love her) and typically spends 3-4 hours cleaning. She has become like a member of our family.

Yolanda has been a wonderful find. She is scrupulously honest and hardworking, never stopping while she is here. She needs only to be shown once what is needed and then proceeds forthwith to do a perfect job. If for some reason, such as a sick child, she cannot come when agreed she calls.

I have never filled out one of these before, but I feel compelled to do so after reading the recent unfavorable (and unfair) report on Yolanda (all F's; please!) Yolanda is a hard worker and is very thorough. She spends as much time as is necessary to do the job right. Quality is important to her and she clearly prides herself on her thoroughness and attention to detail. We are very pleased with Yolanda and would recommend her to anyone. She performs excellent work at reasonable prices.

Yolanda has been cleaning our home for over two years. Right away we were pleased with the thoroughness of the work. We had been disappointed with cleaning services before, and we were especially interested in having the same person perform the work each time (we had problems with unpredictable and changing employees from the service companies and wanted an ongoing relationship with one person). Her work has always been good (she has cleaned at companies and institutions since 2003), her rate is fair, and she travels to our suburban home on the scheduled days. Her first language is Spanish, but is skilled in English too.
