Yardscapes exceeded our expectations significantly. From the consultation to the drawings with Clayton Johnson everything went on schedule. We had a $70,000 budget but our dream layout came in around $90,000. We did some tweaking by omitting a few items and ended up with a plan that did not make us feel we gave anything up at all to accomplish our vision. The blue stone patio with the blue stone wall and an area for a grill turned out phenomenal. We had the patio lit up with LED under the capstones and 20 up-lights to light up the trees and plantings. The workers were polite, cleaned up after themselves and our job foreman Ivan was always available to keep us up to speed. They started a day earlier than originally quoted and finished it all in the three week time frame they quoted us. We had over 150 plus plants and trees installed along with irrigation and sod. We got three quotes and Yardscapes was not the cheapest but we got the sense that they knew what they were doing and would deliver as promised. We got pictures of every plant and tree going in on our property which made it easy for my wife to see and understand what was being planted. This project truly turned out to be the old adage we have all heard, "You get what you pay for!" Thank you Yardscapes for a wonderful yard and outdoor living area!

We called for an appointment for a bid. The salesman who serviced the Bloomington area came out as we requested to discuss regrading and replanting around the perimeter of our house. He basically blew us off without really even examining the grading issues. He said he didn't see anything wrong with our grading and that spending 10's of thousands of dollars would not really benefit us. Had he looked below the rock it would have been a different story. Irregardless we had wanted to relandscape the entire perimeter of the house plus had two additional projects to do in phase 2. I don't think he wanted our job or did not think our part of West Bloomington was upscale enough. We were disappointed with his lack of professionalism. I would have much rather he be straight with us than to tell us we did not need anything, which was not true.

He was easy to work with, always showed up on time, spent a lot of time with the initial layout, and was pleasant when we changed things around a bit. The work was done when promised. The men who came to take all the existing plants out worked 12 hour days in hot heat. They cleaned up daily and were respectful of my neighbors and the neighbor children on bikes, scooter, etc. Clayton was there when the plants came in and layed everything out and went over everything with me and the planters. Our project turned out fabulous and Clayton checks in with us at the beginning of every new season. I would highly recommend Yardscapes.

The principal owner is a great person wot work with. He is creative, yet listens and observes the family and home when designing a new yard. Our estate like property was over 2 acres, on a hill along a creek. Many things needed to be considered and they were in the design. Best landscape company I have worked with.

We had David create a complete outdoor plan that included our entire property. Our yard has a lot of different levels creating a ton of challenges, however, he was able to create an amazing plan that addressed everything we wanted. We decided to do the work in phases due to the size of the project and we just focused on the front of the house at this time. They arrived when they said they would, finished the job quickly and were always available for questions etc. We are looking forward to continuing to work with David and his team as we move forward with other phases of the project.

They were excellent. They started last fall and they completed the project this spring. We ran out of time because of winter. They are great and the designs are beautiful. They are really artistic. They were great listeners. They were the once who I felt listened to the best to what we were trying to do and came up with nice designs. They were very responsive. I got nothing but great things to say about them. I would use their service in the future too.

They did an absolutely amazing job. They are high end but absolutely worth the price. They are just an excellent company and did a great job. They are nice people to work with, and are very talented.

IT APPEARS THEY ARE DOING A GOOD JOB FOR OUR NEIGHBOR BUT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORS. THEY USED OUR YARD TO TAKE DOWN A 50 FOOT TREE WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION. THEY HAVE CHANGED THE GRADE/SLOPE SO THAT MUCH OF OUR NEIGHBORS STORM WATER NOW RUNS INTO OUR YARD. BASICALLY THEY ARE INSENSITIVE TO ANYONE BUT THE PERSON PAYING THEM.

IN MANY WAYS THE WORK WAS SATISFACTORY. THE REP WAS VERY POLITE. MY MAIN COMPLAINT WAS THE ''NICKEL AND DIME'' CHARGES THAT SEEMED INAPPROPRIATE FOR AN OVERALL PROJECT OF THE SIZE, SCOPE AND COST THAT IT WAS ($35,000). AND THE PLANT QUALITY WAS FRANKLY MEDIOCRE TO CRUMMY. THEY REPLACED A TREE THAT DIED WITH ONE THAT WAS SMALLER AND MUCH LESS HEALTHY, THUS DIED AGAIN. THE SECOND TIME WE OFFERED TO REIMBURSE THEM FOR THEIR COST OF THE TREE. THEY AGREED, WANTED TO CHARGE US FROM $350 - $550 (EXPLICITLY WITHOUT A GUARANTEE) AND AT THE LAST MINUTE THEY INCLUDED A $75 DELIVERY CHARGE. (THIS WAS AFTER PAYING $700 THE FIRST TIME AROUND.) IT WAS EVIDENT THEY WERE GOING TO GET AS MUCH AS THEY COULD FROM US SO WE USED BACHMANN'S INSTEAD. WHEN WE DUG UP THE DEAD TREE, IT BARELY HAD ANY ROOTS TO BEGIN WITH. SO BASICALLY THE TREE NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO LIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE. (THEY GOT US FOR A VARIETY OF SIMILAR CHARGES THE FIRST TIME AROUND, BUT THAT WAS LONGER THAN SIX MONTHS AGO.)
