The overall experience was more than I could expect. The sales consultant was wonderful and made me feel very comfortable about my new addition. I am so happy I decided to go with Western Construction for my garage. I love it!

They president of the company came out for the estimate. The work went well and they were prompt.

They found problems with the sheathing under the siding and fixed that. They were very patient with letting me pick the color I want, they let me change the trim design on the house and the light and signage. I just had to provide it ahead of time. One of the censor lights had broken when they took it down and they replaced it at no cost. The owner came out and inspected all of the work. I've already used them twice.

I met with several garage builders and I chose Western because he was the cheapest. Every single part of the garage was contracted out to a different company. They were scheduled to come on a specific date and never showed up. My phone calls were rarely returned and when Brad showed up, he saw nothing wrong with the garage. In the end, he saw nothing wrong with my garage floor being cracked weeks after it was built and the fact that my garage stays wet.

I talked to three different companies and Western had the best price. They did a good job, finished the job on time and they were great at following up the work. The garage is well built and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves.

We had a horrible experience. We had a 2 car garage built. They poured the slab with no slope and no expansion joints. In order to get the proper slope we had another concrete company come in and bust out the slab and re-pour. We had to take out the service door and reposition it due to new height of slab. We had 4 x 8 sheets of Hardy board siding put up and had to have them come back and replace some of them because they were cracked or broken. Very few of the nails use to hang the Hardy board were set, most them stick out from the surface. They were supposed to caulk installation of tar paper. We had to have the roof redone. We had to have them come back because some of the trim was not attached properly. They never cleaned up construction material.

Everything with Western Construction was very high quality all the way through. The quote matched the ending price. They were very professional and responsive.

Start to finish it went good. a couple of glitches were rapidly corrected. I would recommend Western

I contacted Western Construction to get a quote for adding a garage. After having a rep come out to provide my husband and I and quote we NEVER heard back even though the rep said he would contact us in a few days. He stated he needed to contact our city to get a few specifics before he could be more exact. Again, we never heard back and I honestly do not to chase a company to pay them for work.

It went up very quickly and in time before the cold came for us to paint the trim ourselves to save a little money.

I called Western and other window installers late last summer. Most would not give me a ball park figure (I wanted to find out if it was doable for last year). Brad came out to let us look at the product and explain the features of the window. Of course, he thought it was one of the best windows on the market. We , weary of the salesman pitch, were not so sure, we took the information and check out several brand name windows at local building stores. After looking we were please with the window that Brad showed us and signed contract for replacement windows. The contractors that Western were very professional, they would call ahead of time to let us know when they were coming and called if they were delayed( I have waited for contractors that don't show .) The contractors finished and cleaned up well within expected time frame. Also, Brad owner/salesperson, came out to inspect the work and to see a problem that had come up during installing. Everything worked out and we are pleased with results.

I had a great experience with getting a new garage. The entire job took about a month to complete. When I had questions, I received prompt attention to getting them answered. Everything looks great - from the concrete floor to the garage. The electrician was especially easy to work with. Last but not least, everything was cleaned up before they left. There was nothing left for me to dispose or to clean

I used Western construction over 20 years ago on a garage project. When I was contemplating a addition to my present garage I searched and found out not only where they still around but I had the same contact (Brad) The extimate was significantly below others I had and the specifications were equal to or exceeded the other estimates. The project has been completed and I am very satisfies both with the workmanship and my dealings with Western. They were very responsive to any questions. I would certainly use them again.

While discussing a siding project Brad mentioned it would be a good idea to consider window replacement. He sent out Todd who had worked with Anderson windows for many years and was very familiar with the product line. The installers came to the house and remeasured everything. The actual installation went very quickly. We could not be more happy with the end result. No more drafty windows with storm windows and screens to deal with. The house was noticeably warmer during the winter months. Appearance is also great. Brad and Western were a pleasure to deal with. When we closed on the home improvement loan the first thing the closer said was what a pleasure it was to deal with your contractor!

We were working with Western on a garage project and decided to explore siding the whole house. The tear off and application of the siding was accomplished in less than a week. The quality of the workmanship was great. A crew came over on a Saturday to clean up the yard and go over everything with a magnet so there would be no remaining nails. It looks like a new house. Mr son thought he was at the wrong house when he came home for Christmas it looks so good. Great experience working with Brad and Western.

Western was one of three estimates obtained for this project. While their price was the lowest; it was close to one of the other estimates but was a few thousand dollars less than the highest estimate. Western was the most impressive from the very beginning by promptly returning my initial phone call to schedule the estimate and by the fact that Brad Chazin, President of the company, provided the estimate personally. After obtaining the other estimates, Brad personally came over again to review the estimate and discuss a couple of changes we had since decided to make. Brad was extremely helpful during the entire process. He carefully listened to our various requests / specifications and provided very useful comments / suggestions based on his many years of experience. He even went so far as to suggest against some upgrades. For example, upgraded lighting fixtures for the outside of the garage and an upgraded the garage door to include windows. Brad suggested against spending the money on each because that side of the garage faces a public sidewalk and he said the more expensive fixtures and any glass in the door would be likely targets of vandalism. I challenge anyone to find a contractor that would turn down the extra revenue that upgrades bring. Each person that Western involved in this project (survey crew, demolition and removal crew, carpenters and electrician) was extremely courteous and always prompt. They were on site exactly when they said they would be. After a slight miscommunication on the color of the gutters, Brad, without any hesitation, had them replaced with the other color the same week at no extra cost. Western also cleaned up the entire site. There was not a single piece of anything left behind. The garage was finished according to schedule and with virtually no issues whatsoever. Without hesitation, I recommend Western as a reputable company focused on quality construction. I have no doubt that the new garage has significantly increased the home value. Western will be my very first consideration for any future projects.

We asked for quotes from three companies. One of the three companies was much higher while Western and the third company were within a couple hundred dollars of each other. Based on some minor differences in options, it's difficult to say which was actually less expensive. Ultimately we went with Western because their office was just a couple miles away. The salesman we worked with (who is also the president of the company) was easy to work with and we never felt pressured into any upgrades to push up the cost of the project. He did make some strong recommendations based on what he's seen work and not work in the past. Some of the recommendations we took, some we compromised on, and one we turned down. We were very happy with the adjustments we made based on his suggestion to pull the garage further off the alley and widen the garage door to make it easier to get in and out. Work began when promised and moved very quickly. I didn't have much interaction with the crew, but the little I did, was pleasant. Our initial shingle selection was wasn't a good match for the house and after doing a small corner of the roof, Western called us ans asked how we felt about the color match. I said I wasn't too excited about it so after finding out the shingles we had on the house were discontinued, they provided samples from various manufacturers, and we were able to find a better match. Western pulled of the shingles they'd put up and did the roof in the new selection without any grief. The only issue was caused by some notes by the city on the permit. They'd noted a landing had to be put outside the service entrance which turned out not to be the case. Western provided documentation from the city that the permit was signed off on and everything was completed to the city's satisfaction. All in all, we're very pleased with how things turned out and we're using the garage regularly for the first time since we moved in over eight years ago.

Went very well. They did everything that they said. I did not have any problems. Everything was done just as promised. The only issue was that sometimes we expected the carpenter to come but did not due to the weather or other projects without any communication. This was not really a problem as the project was completed in a reasonable time.

Western Construction was prompt with coming out to give an estimate. They were very good at keeping me informed of the schedule after I signed my contract. The work was done very well and I would recommend them to any of my friends that were needing work done. The work was completed to my complete satisfaction.

It couldn't have gone better. The weather was beautiful. The work started a week after signing the agreement. Demo was done in 6 hours! After waiting a week for the cement to cure, work got started on the building and didn't stop until it was done 4 weeks later. I was careful to let the cement continue to cure another 28 days, then sealed it with a sealer as per Brad's advice! It's been a thing of BEAUTY ever since!

This project was more complex than the garage we had built by Western earlier in the same year. If you take anything away from this report know this: The strength of a company and its leader is best shown in how they handle adversity and change. Brad (owner of Western) is extremely good at handling changes. He calls it “punting”. This was a tough year, 2009, the economy, we made many changes as the project moved forward, tweaking this part of the project, cutting that out to save a bit of money, and working with another contractor on a different part of the same project. But you wouldn't know it talking to Brad. He continued to communicate promptly to every phone call or email we sent and always in a jovial mood! One of the contractors misread the wording for the brick work and ledger, and Brad agreed that it was Western's fault, and took steps to right the situation with no extra cost to us. Everyone with Western is professional, reliable and friendly. We definitely liked the work that we had done and would recommend them!

Worst part about the whole job was the weather. It kept raining & raining & raining & you guessed it....raining. Brad's crew had to work around & sometimes in that terrible weather but they kept persisting. They replaced some underlayment that was just starting to go bad so that I wouldn't have any problems down the road. They also changed some things that were not done right the first time. Brad refuses to use the cheap siding that most places will on insurance jobs and he takes the time to explain why. He also was great about my wanting a different look & changing lights, downspouts, hose reels, and address plates at the same time. I had neighbors stopping by & asking who did the work. Brad did my roof back in 2007 & it still looks as great as it did when it was first done. I expect the siding will as well.

Well, the sub-contractors they got for replacing the windows, demolishing the structures and repairing the house were great. Fast, clean and very nice. The contractors they had for the front of the house work, were TERRIBLE. I had to have work redone, over and over. They could not line up crown mouldings nor could they cut straight or measure. After 1 month of dealing with the hassles of the carpenters, we finally told Western that we needed competent workers or we would cancel our contract, because they were 2 weeks behind the finish date, and we would get someone else to get the job done. They finally sent out 2 great carpenters who fixed all the problems of the other carpenters. Western was also very dishonest. They replaced 14 windows but charged us for 16, They denied that these windows were part of the original bid, but I had kept emails and showed them they were wrong. Before finally agreeing that they owed us a credit of $1500 for the windows, they said that they had discovered that they had charged us twice for the install of the back door. We eventually received a $2009 credit. I would never use them again.

Did a great job, got us a quick bid, stayed on budget and kept the sight clean
