Weld & Sons Plumbing

Good. Came out the same day I called. Was pleasant and helpful.

We noticed a spot on the basement ceiling and discovered our shower above, was leaking again. We called Weld and Sons and they were here within about an hour. Have had this "repaired" in the past by a different company. Kevin explained what was wrong then proceeded to repair the actual problem, instead of packing it full of plumbing putty like the previous company had done. We will call them in the future for any plumbing problems.

We noticed a very occasional gas smell in one area of our basement. It seemed to be located near an elbow in the main incoming pipe. Centerpoint Energy located the leak, and we needed to call a plumber since the leak was inside the house. I called Weld Plumbing based on their location and rating on Angie's List. They sent someone out in about two hours, which was beyond my expectations. Brad completed the work in about 1.5 hours -- it wasn't a difficult job, but constrained due to the placement of the pipe in the wall of the house and the multiple elbows. He informed us that the pipe connection was actually very loose, much more dangerous than we thought. When done, he relit the water heater, the only appliance with a pilot light. Very pleased with the quick response and the work; Brad was very personable and easy to deal with.

Everyone involved was professional and prompt. The plumbers went to great pains to avoid damaging the finished basement ceiling. They did the work in a reasonable time and didn't leave anything for me to clean up. A minor glich developed when the city inspector took issue with the water heater vent, but the company returned promptly and made the changes requested by the city. Everyone involved was very professional.

They came out about an hour after the call and fixed it just fine. They did a great job. I was satisfied with their work.

The plumber called to see if I was available, and showed up 15 minutes early (on my ok to do so). He was friendly, looked at the situation, and explained what he could do. He also explained that he thought a visual inspection would be sufficient, so I wouldn't need him to wait for the inspector to arrive, which ended up saving me an hour of labor costs. I'd had other estimates on the work, from various companies, and expected it would take around 2 hours. He finished in just about an hour (1 hour, 5 minutes) - and said he was going to clean up and write up the bill. It took another 20 minutes to do this, for which I was charged. He came back in with the bill at 1:25, but only charged be until 1:15 (which was 20 minutes after he said he was done). That bothered me a bit, as I'd commented that he'd finished very quickly, and felt as if he'd taken this as a cue to slow down. Overall, the work was great, passed inspection with no questions, and was what I'd expected to pay based on other estimates. The price for the truck charge and per hour was a bit higher than some other places I'd called, but their ability to get an appointment within the same week was the reason I chose them. The plumber explained everything he was doing to me, and ensured that the stove and kitchen were back in the same condition he'd found them.

Our shower was leaking. After reading reports on Angie's List, I sent an e-mail to this company. Kevin, the service person, called and talked through the issue with me, and then referred me to scheduling. They were able to fit us in on Kevin's schedule the very next day! When he arrived and tried to turn off the water, we discovered that our water didn't turn off completely, which I had known but had forgotten. I asked if Kevin could replace that valve while he was here, and he said that he could. I then pointed out some previous plumbing work that was left over from a water softener that had been removed, and Kevin suggested a way to streamline and simplify the pipes in that area. While he was here, in slightly more than one hour, Kevin was able to fix our leaky shower, replace our water shut off valve, and remove an unsightly jumble of pipes. I am so pleased! Kevin was professional, he answered all of my questions, and he cleaned up completely. Everything looks great, and it just feels so good to know that it is taken care of. We will be calling Kevin back in the spring to take care of our outdoor faucets.

I had 2 phone calls with them and a letter. They fixed what I needed them to fix and it worked out fine. They charged me $112.00 and then there was a $10.00 coupon for using Angie's List. I can't verify their quality because I haven't actually seen the work. They were really good about responsiveness.

Left message Monday night and got a call by 8:30a the following morning. We had a couple of leaks we couldn't repair and they were booked until the Thu/Fri. Mark, I believe, was able to shuffle their schedules around and they sent Clyde out Wednesday early afternoon. Clyde was great! Courteous and quick! Job completed and would recommend/use them again!

The work was fast and excellent. The came when they said the would and cleaned up after.

I called them on a Sunday and they came out the next day so they were really responsive. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. They explained what they were doing. I asked them about another plumbing issue in our house and someone called to follow up on that to do future work.

Kevin showed up right on the dot when he said he would. He inspected the area and first thought it would only be the tub drain, but when he tested it, he realized that most of the pipes in that area needed to be replaced due to corrosion. Kevin had to cut a hole in the downstairs bathroom ceiling in order to get to all the pipes (which I expected since the water damage meant it would have to be repaired anyway). He replaced the tub drain and overflow valve and all the pipes over to the main drain pipe. He was very fast, actually running up and down the stairs at times. It went much smoother than I was expecting and I am very pleased with the results. Highly recommend!!

They are very prompt, trustworthy, and honest.

I don't remember how much it cost us. We hired them. They were the right price and they were nice. In fact, they were good.

Response was prompt, on time, & very professional. Plumber was able polite, careful not to create any mess and quickly resolved the problem by routing through a couple drainpipe clogs with 2 different sized snake blades. He also made recommendations for avoiding future problems. Highly recommended.

Everything went great, they called me right away the next morning after I had left my message after hours. They were able to get someone out there the next day, the person showed up on time and fixed all of the plumbing pipes etc. Now they do not leak and we feel great that when we put our house on the market this is one thing that will not be an issue!! Is it weird to say that new pipes under the kitched look great?

Overall went well. I've done all my own plumbing before, this seemed too complicated since it involved the water meter. He ended up replacing a gasket and then a pipe assembly - both from the City of Plymouth - before he was able to stop the leak. Very polite, professional. Comfortable to be around.

Great, they came in a timely matter didn't damage the basement any further than it had been and were done within a reasonable time.

The work they did was good. Communication wasn't necessarily the best, but in the end the job got done and it was done well. If we had a need for services from them in the future we would get an estimate and go from there.

Overall, I was very happy with the experience. Don came over a few times to estimate the job because the scope changed as the rest of the project went forward. He sent a couple different plumbers over for the different phases of the project, and when I told him I thought we were having more than our share of minor issues, he sent someone new. The final result was good.

Went great. This is the third plumber I've had out to find this leak. It took about 45 minutes of running water and flushing toilets to make the water slowly drip from the kitchen cabinets, but once the drip appeared it was quickly identified and stopped!

Called them to inspect suspected leak in the 2nd floor shower. They scheduled an immediate inspection. The plumber came on time and was professional. He concluded the problem was not with the plumbing system but the leak was from outside the shower. He suggested I either fix it myself or get a building contractor to do it. He informed me that the minimum charge was $68 for the visit and $112 per hour in addition to it. He also informed me that he has to charge me at least for one hour. So I was looking at a bill of $180 at the minimum for a 5 minute inspection, which came as a surprise to me. I should have asked up front and I did not do that. My mistake. Given that the plumber was here, I went ahead and got a set of faucets replaced. Again I would have had the handyman do it if I had known upfront of the steep charges. I cannot blame the company for that though. I have no complaints on the job that was done.

They were very professional, punctual and friendly. They came on time and cleaned up everything after the work was done. They did a great job and I was very happy with their work. The price was reasonable as well.
