Weld & Sons Plumbing

The toilet drain pipe repair was a tricky installation, working between and through floor joists and around an electrical conduit, but the work took less time than was estimated and therefore cost less than we were anticipating. The plumber, Marcus, came right on time and took care to protect the house and clean up afterward. He showed sensitivity and respect and clearly walked me through the work done in the end.

We have a bathroom sink that is original to this 1936 house, and the faucet leaked. It has a unique design for the faucet. Previously two other plumbing companies had looked at the problem and refused to fix it because it would open a can of worms and might possibly end up worse than it was. One plumber even suggested that I replace the sink, and remodel the whole bathroom. The plumber from Weld said he had experience with such old sinks and thought that he could fix it. His name is Kevin and he did indeed fix it. Our outside faucet (also original equipment) leaked a little. I wanted to have it replaced with a frost-free, self-draining unit. Kevin fixed the leak and talked me out of a new faucet due to the extra expense of tearing out basement ceiling and installing new pipes on the inside. A significant cost savings for me. A handyman had replaced a toilet, but over time it had become loose in its connection to the floor. It rocked a little bit. Kevin had to remove the toilet and then fixed that, too. Kevin was pleasant and willing to communicate about the nature of the problems and possible solutions. He seemed very knowledgable about old plumbing systems, having worked on many older houses.

He was on time, courteous,and gave us an estimate which was just like the bill. He told us what to expect, how long it would take, and when he would return. He came back to do the service on time, was pleasant and professional. I would definitely use this company again.

I wasn't actually there during the service call and had someone there for me since I couldn't take off of work. Weld & Sons worked with me to come up with a good time to come visit and were very prompt. The work I needed done was an extension off of an existing gas line so I could hook up a gas dryer. The installation looks great and the price was far lowest around. I was told the plumber that was at the house was very professional and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend these guys for any other plumbing services you may need. They will certainly keep my business!

Great experience with Weld and Sons Plumbing from start to finish. The secretary was responsive and knowledgeable when I first called. The owner of the business called me the same day to answer my questions and to setup a time to do the repair. The repairman Kevin was timely and polite. I showed him the various gas leaks and he was able to give me his skilled opinion as to what be the best way to fix the leaks. He was efficient and very knowledgeable. I would definitely use this company for any future plumbing needs. Well done!

From my first phone call to Weld and Sons the level of service was different.. Things were explained and additional questions were asked so they came prepared. The pricing was reasonable and explained. I was given options and now understand my home better. I will use Weld and Sons every time and have already recommended them. Were punctual, friendly, professional.

The biggest job was the removal of the current drain tubs and the rerouting of the current plumbing underneath so ot would look better. At that time they told us our sump pump was not up to code and asked if we wanted that fixed up to code. I said yes and also asked them to look at the pie coming in from the street because it leaked a bit. They did this and got the city involved to bring it up to date at the same time that afternoon. Of course the cost was higher than we originally figure it would be but we had a lot more work done at the same time. This was a good deal for us and now we are up to code!! Very happy with the service.

The plumber who performed the work, Marcus, was courteous, professional, and incredibly proficient. He completed in ONE DAY what any plumber could have easily claimed was a 2 day job. They replaced a number of old galvanized pipe runs with updated materials (which included updating a number of transitions and shut offs), they brought a gas line and valve up to code, installed a toilet, replaced some defective water valves, replaced an old drain stack with ABS and were able to remove some protrusions that had previously required unsightly bulkheads, they installed a new kitchen trap, installed an anti-tip attachment to a kitchen stove, and replaced an outdoor spigot and run with a new anti-frost spigot. They probably ended up cutting 2 weeks or more off our project timeline based on their responsiveness. Weld and Sons is a special group of people. From the minute you meet the owner, Don (he personally stopped by and reviewed the project before writing the estimate) to meeting his plumber, you can sense they are a class act. I am a business owner myself and I especially appreciate working with people who do what they say they are going to do, and then some. Their word is their bond. I can't recommend them highly enough.

The service was performed flawlessly and on budget. I think this company should get an extra positive review due to their professionalism and punctuation. They repeated contact me to let me know they would be on time for the work performed. Very highly recommend this company and will solely use these folks going forward.

1. Unclogged the upstairs bathroom sink. This required replacing two corroded metal pipes with PVC in addition to opening up the sink. 2. Replaced the fill valve on the upstairs toilet. 3. Asked to take a look at the tub faucets as they were increasingly difficult to shut off. Needed a washer for the hot water and a part for the cold water. 4. Replaced a pipe on the right side of the kitchen sink that had cracked as well as the basket strainer. 5. Was great at answering questions about what it would take to do some other bathroom projects so I could get some realistic idea about feasibility.

I cannot say enough about what a fabulous company Weld & Sons is. Every aspect of interaction from start to finish was stellar. Timely, courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. Clyde came out to do the installations and was thorough and meticulous. The shower install required cutting out part of the wall and he was very careful to minimize mess and make it easy for us to do the wall repairs. Clyde also provided options and an estimate for another project not yet scheduled. Weld & Sons is our plumbing company of choice and we would recommend them highly.

This was great from start to finish. Appointment made professionally, Tim the technician showed up on time after a reminder call, and completed the work effectively and efficiently. We asked for an estimate of another service, and we were given advice on an alternative DIY solution as well as a estimate for their company to do the work. Their prices were very reasonable and the work is fantastic - fixed ALL the problems. We were recommended to this company by a friend, and we will definitely recommend them to other friends in the future. Thanks!

A slight misunderstanding with the scheduling, but overall an excellent job.

Brad fit me into a very busy schedule, which I was very grateful for. He answered all my questions, was able to find the leak and squeezed into a very tight spot to repair it. He also was able to diagnose my hot water heater, which meant it had to be replaced. Since it was 19 yrs. old that's the outcome I expected. Services were timely and very professional. It was a lot of money, but I've paid more for plumbing and gotten less. Nice company to deal with.

These guys are the best. Without a doubt the fairest, most knowledgeable, most careful, and nicest people. They are what we expect when we call someone for all our plumbing needs. If there was a grade higher than an "A" I would give it. I had two other plumbers estimate this work (top rated on Angies List). Both of them proposed solutions that would involve cutting into my ceiling. When I called Weld and Sons for an estimate, Don (the owner) came out and looked throughout the downstairs to come up with an innovative solution that avoided any cutting in the ceiling. He was here for almost an hour exploring and then gave me a very fair estimate. This is my second job with them and they are quickly becoming my "go-to" plumbers. A++++ guys!

Tim called ahead of his arrival to let me know his timing, and arrived shortly thereafter--just as expected. He did a great job; even showing me some new ways to care for, and extend the life of, my appliance. I was saved the cost of a new garbage disposal and installation. This is my third experience with Weld & Sons--I don't think of calling anyone else anymore. To date, each job has been done in a timely and expert manner, for a fair price. I have not been left to deal with messes--these people even remove their shoes when they come in. Courtesy like that means a lot when you are the person who does the housekeeping!

Both service calls went very well. Both providers friendly and professional. Sheer coincidence that kitchen drain piping began leaking like crazy a week after first visit. We had been suspicious of some minor leaking down foundation wall inside and out but thought it might be due to a gutter/roof back-up following all the rain we had been experiencing. A week after first plumbing visit, water pouring down wall when kitchen faucet was on full blast convinced us otherwise.

Showed up on time. Were able to complete work in one day. Did a great job including a really great cleanup job.

Manny was there at designated time and put in new toilet (they supplied) and replaced the outside faucet. Manny did a great job and brought in drop clothes for the carpeting. This is the third time that we have used them and have been very satisfied each time. We will use them again and recommed them to anyone.

After a miscommunication between me and the company, a plumber came to my home the same day I called. In fact the plumber came 4 hours after I placed the call. I wasn't expecting same day service since I called them mid-morning. Our home was built in the 1950s so we have smaller pipes and have periodic tree root issues. Ben cleaned out all the drains that normally need to be done and then offered to clean out the drain in the laundry tub. Never occurred to me to consider that drain nor did the other plumbing companies I've used in the past. Now everything is once again running smoothly. I would have called the company I used the last time we had this done, but they weren't listed on Angie's List. So I went with a company that had an excellent rating and was located nearby. I also received $10 off my service since I'm an Angie's List member so that eased the stress from the day! Ben also left contact information for the next time this needs to be done. I will definitely be calling Weld & Sons in six month for our annual drain cleaning. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone with plumbing problems!
