Plumber "clyde" introduced himself (also provided courtesy call on ETA). Surveyed the situation and efficiently completed the job. Polite and professional.

The initial plan was to install a water heater that vented into the existing chimney. During installation it was discovered that my chimney lacked a liner. This meant that I'd either have to pay to have a liner installed (~$1500) or upgrade to a power vented water heater (~$900 more). I chose to go with the power vented water heater which was quickly swapped out and vented to the exterior of my home. I was pretty unhappy with the added cost but it was the correct safe thing to do. Lesser plumbers might have let it go but Weld & Sons insisted I go with one of the two above options yet again proving why they're my go-to plumbers!

We had a Kevin come out to the house and he was extremely professional and nice. Someone called before they came out to get a first hand account on what was going on. They came on time and called to let me know when they were on their way. He worked to find the cause and originally when I had called to make the appointment they thought it might be a water softener issue. I had discussed with them my finding of the water gauge and it condition of deterioration. .He worked through the entire problem and resolved it to the pressure reducing valve. Recommended we call the city for a meter check and an outside line check. I would absolutely recommend them and I would use them for any plumbing issue. I marked them a B for pricing since I was charged time while they waited for the currier to come out with the parts. I would recommend they come with the parts if possible since I had mentioned the pressure valve and it's condition was not looking good. Otherwise they would have received all A's from me. They did a good job. They showed up on time, and were pleasant. What they did was good, and he was great, but the estimate that they gave us for a follow up was high. We haven't put more thought in to that yet

Brad was thoughtful, professional and helpful throughout the 3+ hours he was at my home. Compliance with code is an important consideration for future home sale and Brad was helpful pointing out the next steps. I wouldn't hesitate to have him back.

They were able to schedule the appointment the next day. Very prompt! Clyde was a good guy and explained everything he was doing. I am very satisfied with their work.

They came to my house a total of 3 times. They were punctual and professional each time they came. Even the receptionist, the scheduler and the owner was courteous and professional. But they never resolved the issue with my bathtub leaking water down to my basement tool room. However, the conclusion was i needed to replace the tub spout and the sliver piece that sits against the tub under the spout. I paid them a total of 265 from the initial tripe and not a dime more for the other 2 trips. I still have to spend money to replace the silver piece under the tub spout and the spout. I can only pray that will take care of it all.

They did an excellent job and was there on time and finished the job and cleaned up the entire area before leaving.

Our bath and sink started backing up on the evening of March 5th. After trying to clear the clog myself, I found Weld & Sons on AL. I went with them because they were highly rated, came near the top of the results and had a coupon. I called them after hours and left a message explaining the issue and leaving my wife's cell number, as she was going to be home the next day. They called my wife promptly the next morning and one of their techs was at our house by 11am. He snaked the drain and cleared the clog. He also advised us not to use Drano because it corrodes the older pipes (we have a 1929 house). He was at the house for less than an hour, was very courteous and left the bathroom as he had found it. We have thankfully not had to use the services of a plumber for this type of work before, but Weld & Sons will definitely be the first company we call if we need work done in the future. Highly responsive and a good price for good work.

I received a call back that same day and was told a repairman could come the next day.That conflicted with some of my previous plans, so we arranged the next business day. He arrived in the two hour window and replaced the problem quickly, The basket I had bought did not fit my sink which is extra deep but fortunately he was able to provide one from his truck which did fit. He is a very pleasant personable man. I would certainly call this company for any future plumbing work

This was an excellent experience from beginning to end. I contacted Weld and Sons after searching through Angie's list and reading a fair amount of reviews of which were all excellent. I got a rough estimate over the phone with the detail that I provided which was about what I expected. Interestingly, an acquaintance happened to hear my wife talking about needing a plumber and referred their plumber. To make sure I was covering my bases, I got an estimate from them as well. It was about the same, however they couldn't meet one perspective and that was selling me on the finish work because they were going to have go through one of our closets to get to the valve system. At Weld and Sons they knew exactly what I was referring too and over the phone. To top it off, I contacted Weld and Sons to schedule the work and they had it booked and completed in less than a week. To top it off even more, Ben showed up 5 minutes early to get started which has rarely happened in my other experiences. Final top off, Ben couldn't have been a nice more competent guy. This led to me asking for and estimate on future work I am considering like the addition of a bathroom to our basement. This was a great experience and I will pass Weld and Sons on as the go to Plumbers. Thanks Angie's List. I was skeptical about you at first, but you really helped me.

Supplier was able to schedule an appt that met my needs in a very timely manner. Ben showed up at the promised time, assessed the problem and was able to correct it. He explained the situation in detail and cleaned up after he completed the job. Ben was professional and very pleasant. I recommend this supplier!

The only issue I had was misleading prices. The service was amazing, the plumber was great, my only hiccup was regarding the service fee. They came to install a toilet that I purchased, but the toilet was cracked. I was told there wouldn't be a service fee (since I had already paid 2 before for the same job), and then the service fee billed. I called and spoke to someone other than the person who said there wouldn't be the service fee, and they would not waive it and made me feel like I was lying. I am out $60.

Jason and Dan arrived exactly at the time they said they would be here. Once it was determined what needed to be done they covered our carpeting an got to work. This was a dirty job in confined spaces which they approached with the desire to solve all the problems and it was done without a complaint. After repairing the sewer they repaired the concrete in the floor. This job took 9 hours. After contacting two other plumbing companies that said they would come the next day and never called or showed up it was a pleasure doing business with Weld and Sons . We would definitely call them for any future plumbing issues,

They were prompt and provided good service. They told me what they were going to do and then they went through and did it.

We've used Weld & Sons' services two times now, and have been pleased. Most recently, they came to clear a tub drain that had been causing trouble for some time. Drain was cleared and I am no longer standing in water when I shower. The service ended up being a little more expensive than a normal clogged drain because of some quirks with our drain and access to the trap in the basement.

Ben Pullis was extremely professional and did a great job! He mentioned that we should avoid putting raw fruits & vegetables as well as noodles down the drain. I learned a lot about plumbing from him. Ben demonstrated excellent customer service skills. We have now used Weld & Sons three times and have found the best plumber for any future plumbing needs. I will recommend Weld & Sons to all my friends and family when they need a plumber.

I called them and they showed up right away and they located and fixed the problem very quickly. It was very quick and professional. The pipe was inside the wall so they ha to break the wall and they didn't fix the wall, so we had to have another contractor to fix it. If they had to fix the wall they maybe would have had to charge more.

We called Weld to look at a clawfoot tub/handheld shower fixture that was not working. Kevin, the plumber assigned to the job, looked at it and determined that it could not be repaired. The fixture was at least 20 years old and manufactured by a company no longer in business-so ordering parts was not an option. Also asked Kevin to look at the water pressure for our kitchen sink. In doing so, he discovered and fixed two leaks. Also noticed the filtered water dispenser was not working properly and replaced it. Very pleased with the work and efficiency. Plan to use Weld for all of our plumbing needs in the future.

Top notch company from first conversation to day of service - HIGHLY recommend. We had a problem with a drain in our laundry room overflowing whenever we did laundry. We searched Angies List and found Weld & Sons had several positive reviews. I sent an email to Mark on Wednesday night (9:00 pm) and received a call the following morning. I explained the drain issue, as well as an issue we had with our kitchen sink faucet, and the drain in our basement bathroom shower. Mark offered suggestions on how to resolve the kitchen faucet over the phone - free of charge and the results were excellent. For the other two issues, I was able to get an apointment for the next day (Friday, 2/21/14), which was great as i already had 2 other contractors coming that day for other work. Thursday night, however, we were hit with the biggest winter storm of the year, closing schools and bringing traffic to a standstill on Friday morning. It wasnt much of a surprise when the other two contractors called to reschedule, as the roads were horrible - what WAS a surprise was a phone call i received from Ben Pullis, the plumber from Weld and Sons, telling me he was on his way. Once he arrived, Ben went straight to work on the laundry drain and had it functioning in short order. He then moved to the bathroom shower, which had not been used in several years. The previous homeowner told us that the shower hadnt been used in 20 years, and didnt drain properly (i found that it didnt drain at all). He had plumbers out on multiple occasions to try to clear that shower, and nobody was able to fix it. I talked to Ben about the possibility of busting up the concrete and installing new plumbing to solve the issue, and mentioned that he was at least the 3rd plumber in as many years to attempt to fix the problem. He explained what he thought the problem was, said that his company would be happy to give us a quote for doing that, but cautioned me about jumping into such an expensive project before trying less costly options. That was the second time this company recommended a cost saving plan of attack. I found that very refreshing. I left him to work on the drain, expecting that I'd have to cut him off after a while so i didnt lose my shirt on this failed drain-clearing experiment. Literally within a half hour he had that drain cleared and water flowing. I have no idea how, or why nobody else seemed to be able to do it, but Ben took care of it. His work was excellent, and the cost was far less than i expected (seriously, all of this work and we didnt even break the 200.00 mark). I strongly recommend Weld and Sons for any plumbing needs you have, they are not only very professional, they are responsive, timely and very reasonably priced.

Called Weld & Sons and they were out to our house within 2 hours. The repair man was friendly and did great job. I would recommend them to all.

I called Weld & Sons at about 8:45 AM and they had someone out by 11:15 AM. Great, fast service with no problems!
