Excellent experience! Weld & Sons were able to fit us into their schedule earlier than our appointment date. Manny was courteous, responsive, and focused. Couldn't have been any better - top-notch service all the way around!

As part of a large remodel project, my water was shut off for an extended amount of time. When it was turned back on, one of my bathroom tub faucets started to drip. I suspect the washer was not good, but had not completely failed when there was constant water pressure. I was able to remove the handles and the existing extensions; however, the rest of the handle components were not accessible. I reached out to multiple plumbers on Angie's list. I got very prompt replies from several (which is why I love using AL!); however, no one could come to my aid for several weeks. In fact, the initial reply I got from W&S was the same - about a 2 week wait. I asked if they could keep me in mind for a last minute appt, if they happen to be in my area. I received a call / text w/in a day that they could be there w/in an hour. Unfortunately, I was not able to make that time. I assumed that I would probably be stuck waiting a few weeks. However, to my very pleasant surprise, they reached out to me the next day - again - with a last-minute opportunity. This time it worked out. The plumber was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and was able to fix the issue with some kind of special component. It was NOT a cheap appointment; however, I am giving them an "A" on price, because I was told up front the cost and I knew there was a 1-hour minimum. I would use Weld and Sons again for any plumbing needs, in a heartbeat. I also referred them to a coworker who is looking for a plumber.

This company is fantastic. Prices are reasonable and the representative was excellent. Work was done quickly. Would highly recommend.

Kent did an outstanding job as he needed to cut out the old copper pipes and solder in new ones. The soldering quality was impressive. I have no doubt it will last for years. Well done and he helped recommend other future products for the home.

My basement flooded due to a problem with my sump pump. I called the office at 3:30 pm and by 6:30 pm Jed had already fixed it. This is my 3rd time using Weld & Sons and I couldn't be more satisfied. Honest people and excellent service!!!

We've had Weld and Sons out twice to replace two different corroded pipes. (The pipes were so corroded inside that the sinks were backing up). Both times they were courteous and easy to book. They showed up on time. They did a great job with the repair and charged a reasonable rate compared to the other estimates we got. They put tarps down before working so my place didn't become a mess. I've hired them twice and would gladly hire them a third time.

Process went flawlessly. I used the Angie’s List system to find multiple, qualified contractors. My request for pricing was transmitted to 3 or 4 contractors. Weld & Sons was the first to respond. Their bid was reasonable—not the least expensive though. What made the difference for me? I was able to use Angie’s Lists messaging center to request, receive, accept, and schedule the work. I was able to avoid the usual (and eventually frustrating) phone tag. No wasted time. Just value-add. When I asked about evening hours, the owner gave me the option of paying overtime or taking a 7:30AM appointment the following day. He empowered me to make the best decision. Weld & Sons understands customers like me (like us)! By way of contrast, one of the bidders actually asked me to call him so that we could schedule the work. Further, he didn’t even provide pricing, which is the intent of seeking bids via Angie’s List. If I had phone-tagged with the other contractor, I’d likely still be waiting to get my drain unplugged. As for the service, it was excellent. Brad (Drain Cleaner) was professional and respectful. He came prepared to do the work. I was pleased that the owner had transmitted all the messaging detail to Brad so that he had the whole story—no need to re-explain. Brad was done within an hour, which allowed me to get to work. If you need your drain cleaned, I would recommend Weld & Sons. Ask for Brad. He’ll get the job done well.

The plumber very quickly assessed the situation and immediately went to work to resolve it. He snaked the drain many times to make sure all the gunk was removed and he gave me several tips on how to maintain my drains and avoid the need for future clog removal. He was courteous, friendly, and professional. He cleaned up after himself before he left.

On time and job completed in a quality way. Would not hesitate to hire again- thanks guys!

It was a pleasure to work with Weld & Sons. They did an excellent job installing my toilet and did it quickly. The plumber also answered several of my questions unrelated to the work I had requested. I'll definitely be using Weld & Sons if I need plumbing work again.

Our dishwasher was leaking into the basement below. I wasn't sure whether a plumber was the person I needed to contact, but I figured that would be a good start. The technician came out within the scheduled window, opened the bottom of the dishwasher, started running it, then told me it was leaking through the motor and that there was nothing he could do. His first thought was that I'd need to replace the dishwasher. The entire service call took little more than five minutes. Ultimately, it was nice to know the problem was not the plumbing, but the service fee structure used meant I had to pay quite a bit for five minutes of work. I realize that these businesses have to have price minimums in place to make the work profitable for them, such as in cases like mine, but its very frustrating to have to pay for a half hour worth of labor (which was supposed to be a 1-hour minimum, so I was grateful the technician was able to reduce it to 30 minutes) when only five minutes of labor was completed. All told, though, I've worked with Weld & Sons multiple times in the past and have been very satisfied with their work and generally their pricing. It was just a little frustrating this time.

WOW is all I can say, after having another company come out twice and still not fixed and saying we needed a whole new sink, we called Weld and I am so glad we did. They (Clyde) came out, tried to repair the existing faucet but due to age had to replace it. Did a fabulous job and at a very reasonable rate, so glad we called Weld, they will be our plumbers of choice from now on.

Water heater went out/sprung a leak on a Friday evening. I called after hours and was connected with Vic who was extremely helpful. We were able to get the hot water heater leak minimized for the duration of the weekend, so it could be replaced on Monday morning. The quote provided via phone on Friday night was very accurate, and the follow ups on Monday morning were equally as satisfying. I was able to get the 2nd job of the day, and by 12 noon on Monday I had working hot water again. Very easy to work with the company and would do business with them again!

Weld and Sons is just different. They have seasoned professionals and always do an amazing job. I would never call anyone else.

The entire experience was phenomenal! The Weld and Sons team performed at an A+ level. I woke up on Friday morning and noticed a drip coming out of the water meter in my basement. By the time the city checked it out and told me the meter horn pipe was my responsibility, it was noon. I called Weld and Sons to see if they could get someone out on a Friday afternoon so we wouldn't have to shut off our water for the weekend. 15 minutes later one of their plumbers called me and said he was on his way. 90 minutes later I had a new meter horn soldered in, along with a new shut-off valve just upstream of the meter to replace my 50 year old shut-off valve which hadn't been able to shut. Plumbing work was excellent! Very professional team response. And we didn't have to go without water for the weekend - what a blessing!

Ben (the installer) arrived about an hour later than I had been told, but apparently it was just a communication snafu and he thought he was on time. That was a bit of a problem because I was on a tight schedule, so I had to leave before the installation was complete. However, before I left, Ben talked me through the points I needed to know and advised me about the venting foam which I could remove later, etc., and I gave him instructions about securing my back door when he left. When I returned home all was well, and the hot water heater is GREAT!

They sent Brad out same day. Even in the snow storm we were having. Called me a half hour before arriving. And had everything fixed and spic and span quickly. Very friendly and low cost!! Clog was way down the line. But of course had the tools needed to fix. Would definitely recommend.

It went very well. Brad took a look at all of the pipes first to choose the best course of action. He also pointed out a different potential problem area that I should monitor. He arrived on time and completed the job in less than an hour.

I hired Weld and Son's because I bought a new house and the drains were draining slow. By the time the plumber left and $324 later, I had holes in my pipes and could not use anything in the kitchen or bathroom. Then I had to wait four days, which was the soonest they could get me in, for them to come out and give me a bid to fix. They crippled my plumbing. I would not use again.

We called Weld on Tuesday and were scheduled for Friday am, earliest time available. The scheduler was careful to define the company's pricing and policies before we confirmed. The result was successful: a serious backup in a primary drain was cleared and a new diverter on the kitchen faucet restored the faucet spray. Clyde, the plumber, was on-time, competent, and professional. He faced down what turned out to be a much more complex and time-consuming project than anticipated. I will call Weld in the future for all our plumbing needs.

We had water back up twice. John came out and took time to assess the situation which was a little confusing because the water was actually flowing without backing up. He decided that there must be a lot of sludge in the pipes which would occasionally break loose and clump up causing a temporary "plug" making the water back up in the basement drain. He cleaned out the pipe from the kitchen to the basement and from two basement floor drains to the point where the pipes leave the house. There was a lot of sludge. John was courteous, thoughtful and thorough in his work. He cleaned up well. The problem didn't seem to make sense at first (I know I was completely baffled by it). John took the time to think it through and suggest an approach that would likely give us more information. After seeing how much sludge was there, he recommended cleaning out the whole run from where the kitchen pipe came down to the point where the pipes left the house. I was satisfied that his approach was reasonable.

The whole team and their subcontractors absolutely nailed it! Super responsive project management and a tight schedule, all things considered. They installed a quarter bath in a closet of ours and it looks incredible.

Effecient; clear about pricing; professional work. Very satisfied.
