Weld & Sons Plumbing

Called to schedule and was told to expect a call back from the scheduler. Got the call a half hour later saying that there was an unexpected opening and that Kevin could be here in 20 minutes. He arrived, assessed the problem, proposed the fix, completed the repair and left, all within the hour.

The plumber fixed the problem in a professional way. He offered several options at various price levels. We liked that we ewe able to discuss these options. It was done in a timely manner. The plumbing was difficult to get at behind the wall, however, he managed to fix it in a timely manner.

Kevin called 30 minutes in advance of arriving and got there on time. He replaced the ball valve on the water pipe leading to the whole house humidifier. The knob was sticking and the valve was clogged. He was friendly and educated me on what he was doing. The only concern I had was the cost (which appears to be an industry standard)...a $10 part cost $184 to install (trip cost plus minimum 1 hour labor). Kevin also answered a few other plumbing questions that I had. I will use them again because of their Christian principles and the good work that they do, but I'll make sure to optimize my time!

:I called at 7:00 AM Monday morning. I was told that I would receive a call within an hour with a scheduled appointment. I received the call as promised. I was told that the tech (Ben Pullis) would arrive between 9 and 11:00 AM, and would call before he came. I received Ben's call at 10:15 AM. Ben was careful to remove his shoes when entering the house. He had the drain cleared and was gone within half an hour. He gave me a 10% senior discount which I didn't know i was entitled to.

Called (I was a new customer) Weld & Son on July 7th after searching on Angie's List. The drain pipe in the upstairs bathroom was leaking and had made a mess in the garage. I had just discovered the leak the previous day. They called back later on Monday and explained their rates, including an Angie's List discount, and said they would be out at 8 am the next day. As a new customer I was pleased by the fast service. Marcus from Weld called the next morning and arrived at the agreed on time. He confirmed the location of the leak, gave me an estimate and went to work. The drain was fixed and the mess cleaned up in about 2 hours. Very professional and explained the work that had been done to me. If necessary, I would call them again for plumbing repairs or new work.

The woman I made the appointment with on the phone was very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. And my service was scheduled promptly. Ben Pullis was on time, professional, friendly and neat, and most important, cleared the drain. I don't know anything about it, but it seemed to me that he spent quite a bit of time clearing the pipe. Drain now works great. Ben said the plug was an ordinary build-up of "stuff" from years of use. My house was built in 1956. I believe Ben spent about 40-45 minutes at my house. I think $124 was very reasonable and I actually paid $114 ($10 off Angie's coupon). Thanks Ben!

Went fairly well. Got appointment same day. Very pleasant water softener installed. Only negative was I could not get drained cleaned on same day. Would have had a separate service call. Otherwise I'd most likely use them again.

Weld Plumbing did a great job! We have an old house (1926) and renovated our upstairs bathroom. We had a plumbing situation so challenging that our previous, long-time plumber quit during the job. We scrambled to replace him on short notice and interviewed several plumbers who either did not want the job, were not qualified or proposed solutions so destructive (breaking through the dining room wall for example) that we would not hire them. Finally we found Don Weld and knew immediately he is a real pro. He took measurements and determined a way to repipe the bathroom by going through the floor of an adjacent closet. It was an ingenious solution what worked great. His crew is just top notch. For the rough-in, they were here for several days and they are the nicest guys. They did their best to create minimal disruption, and cleaned up well. The final plumbing was a different guy, and excellent as well. It's a family business, and they really take pride in their work. Don also gave us very good referrals for the shower flashing and glass surround. We highly recommend Don Weld and Weld Plumbing.

Our drain was really plugged up, and the stopper did not work. But the drain now flows freely, and the stopper is now working again. The repairman was very courteous and professional. I will definitely call Weld and Sons again for our next plumbing problem.

I'm very pleased with the work. The plumber was prompt in arriving, was very courteous, cleaned up after the job. It took 1 3/4 hours to do the jobs. This is the second time I used Weld & Sons Plumbing and will certainly use them in the future.

Quote was way higher than other quotes (2-3 times).

Brad came out to replace our shower head and re-caulk our bathroom sink. He was done in one hour. He was very fast completing the work and told us how to maintain and clean the shower head. It was great experience and we will use them again.

The person who I spoke with on the phone (Mark) was very cordial and explained their labor rates, service call fee, etc. He also promptly scheduled an appointment for me after asking me a few questions. I got a follow-up phone call for a reminder of my appointment the business day preceding my appointment date. The plumber also called me about 30 minutes before he arrived to give me a heads up. He arrived during the quoted appointment window. I felt the plumber (Clyde) was friendly and professional and appeared to be knowledgeable on what he was doing. I mainly let Clyde do his work unsupervised but I did check in with him from time to time. He was friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. It took about 2 1/2 hours to complete the jobs I had them do and provide me with the estimate for replacing the hot water heater. The company did agree to not charge me another $70 service call fee if I hire them for this service within the next 30 days. I appreciate that they would extend that courtesy. I felt the labor costs seemed somewhat high but I admit I really didn't do much checking to see what other companies charge, and this is the first time I've called a plumber since owning a home. I mainly chose this company because of the positive reviews I saw on Angie's List, but I would have to say it was a positive experience despite the somewhat high labor costs.

Asked for plumber familiar with recirculating pump. Installed incorrectly. Sent another plumber who said pump was installed wrong. Sent another plumber to fix pump. Very expensive.

Brad was gentlemanly, on-time, excellent work. We will definitely call again.

They did a great job. I was amazed at how expensive it is to install a bathtub, but we had other bids and they were all similar. The quality of service was just fine.

Good communication on all fronts, during appointment, before appointment and during service call. Repaired the problem without a hitch. I am super pleased with Weld Plumbing and have used them for many years - I give them my full recommendation. Office staff is excellent, too - I wanted a duplicate copy of bill, was sent out promptly.

Our outdoor faucet burst from extreme cold winter. Called Weld & Son's who scheduled appointment for next day. Clyde arrived on time and even called 10 mins prior to arriving. Clyde surveyed station & explained thoroughly. He replaced old faucet and tied in PEX with existing waterline. He was very polite & professional. Finished job in 2 hrs. Very good job and even used the faucet. I had here to save supply cost. I found this to be one of the best experiences in 20+ years of owning home. We will definitely use them again. Also, didn't charge fee to come out as they do and gave us a $10 credit/discount for Angie's List.

Wasn't able to pinpoint root cause but gave some ideas of things to try and possible causes without digging up pipes under concrete. Tried the options and smell no longer issue.
