Weld & Sons Plumbing 3410 Kilmer Ln N, MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55441 I can't remember his name (Kevin I think) arrived within time frame, And started ,removed the old, carried the whole unit out to garbage pickup from up stairs, and took new one up (strong) said the toilet I got is very good one ( when I frist phoned them and they told me the one's they stocked or I could buy one and they would install it.) The one I bought from a chain home improvement was one they said they stock, and I saved . He finished faster than I thought it would take. He checked for any water leakage from where drian pipe in floor is , as have had water damage cieling below , but he said and showed me drian pipe and floor wasn't the problem . So we left it at that ( will probable call back to have them look deeper) We'll use them in future !!!

Weld and Sons was at our home on many occasions to move plumbing in our kitchen, and to add a gas line for our new stove. They were always on time and very professional. We are so happy with the work they did, and how pleasant they were to work with. We will always use them for any future plumbing or gas needs. I would recommend them to anyone.

It was a positive experience and we had used them a year before. They were responsive. I left a message and they called back. They showed up on time and cleaned up his mess. They solved the problem. Their price was reasonable.

Gasket behind faucet handle plate found detached. Caulk used to reattach gasket and caulk applied to the area around the faucet handle. Plate reattached and caulked. However, the leak problem has not been resolved. Prior to Weld, another plumber had not discovered the gasket problem and was also unsuccessful with other efforts. Looks we will have to cut into the Sheetrock wall!!

They were very, very helpful. He came out the next day. He really didn't have time when he made it work so I thought that was excellent. It was a nonemergency and he still made it and got it done. It was something that I thought should have been $200 but it ended up $300-some. I wasn't here, my son was here. He had to do extra work because some things were rusted so I don't know whether that was a super good pricing or not. I didn't shop so I have no idea what it should have been. I called yesterday and they did it today. He wanted to schedule for next week, but my wife is out of town so I asked him if he could do it quicker than that because that way it would be done when she gets back. He said he would see what he could work out and then called me back a couple of hours later and said they will come out today, and I thought it was excellent. I will use him again especially since he has good responsiveness. I just don't know if the price was good or not. I don't have anything to compare it to.

Unfortunately, we feel as though Don Weld did not do an adequate job of determining what needed to be done to bring the basement bathroom up to code, and yet wrote his estimate up in such a way as to indicate that further work would need to be done, suggesting he knew about this work. In order to bring the basement shower up to code, it needed both a new shower fixture and to be vented--he only told us about the fixture, quoted us for that, and then wrote that more work might need to be done if there were code violations. So we had that work done, then lo and behold the shower wasn't vented. The inspector, the plumbers at Weld, the inspector's boss, and a new plumber were all baffled as to how this was missed. (We did in fact bring in the inspector to look over the proposed work before hand, but there was a miscommunication on my part so that he did not address that issue, either.) The difference in venting meant breaking up the floor of the basement and possibly replacing the entire shower stall, a cost which would be excessive--we're selling the house and needed to bring it up to code, which could also be achieved by capping off the shower. Had we been presented with the possibility of venting the shower + new fixtures (a couple thousand, not including possibly replacing the whole shower at a few thousand more) vs. capping off the shower ($350), we would have chosen the second. However, we were presented with new fixture vs. capping it off... and only after that was finished were we presented with the extra work, and that estimate was written in such a way as to suggest there would still be more work. Plus, then we never got a last estimate on the new shower, when we insisted on some actual numbers in case a new shower stall. In the end, we paid another plumber (Ben Franklin, which was great) to cap the shower and remove the new fixture we just paid to have installed (in order to bring all this up to code). The work that was done was fine, but if you use them and see on your estimate things like "no guarantee" or a note that there may be more work done, expect that that will be the case. This has not been the case with other plumbers we have used in the past, and it was not the case with Ben Franklin.

The appointment to connect a new dishwasher was made and they were able to provide same day service... Now I know why. The installer took almost two hours to install a new dishwasher and stated "the electrical was difficult". Ultimately we were billed $312 for a job that should have taken 45 minutes. Plus, the job wasn't completed. Very unhappy. I would not use them again.

Weld and sons came in to fix plumbing in our laundry room. We appreciated the work so much we hired them again to do our bathroom after a home improvement nightmare! Thank you for your professional and awesome job! Jeny and Chad Johnson

Clyde called ahead, arrived right on time and made repair within an hour! Very pleasant and helpful service- will use again.

It went well. Dan opened up a hole in the ceiling where the water damage was showing, saw where the problem was occuring with the shower drain on the floor above and repaired the shower drain. He was very tidy, laying out a canvass tarp on the floor under the hole in the ceiling and covering nearby bookcases and furniture with plastic tarps as well. Afterwards he removed all materials and vacuumed the area. The repair to the drain itself took awhile, it was 26 years old and corroded, but he effected the repair with no damage to the shower. Dan was polite, attentive to my thoughts and concerns and did his work in a professional and workman-like fashion .

He arrived on time. I requested that he start in a specific area and he agreed. The handle put on the toilet was I style I did not like so he readily replaced it. The problems with the faucets were not as severe as I anticipated and therefore took less time and less money. He advised me on need to shut off valves under laundry tub. He could have cleaned up the floor in the bathroom but that was not a big deal. I paid him and he left. He was pleasant and helpful. I would hire him again.

Ben-the onsite plumber- quickly and efficiently removed the toilet and complete re seal in one hours time.Very clean and efficient. Leak has been stopped.

Clyde came out this afternoon and did a fantastic job on all repairs. He was highly knowledgable, efficient and friendly. Price was extremely fair for the work done. We've used Weld and Sons for previous plumbing needs and will not hesitate to call again and recommend to others. Thanks for your outstanding service!

We were very pleased with the EXCELLENT work Nate and Marcus provided on behalf of Weld & Sons plumbing. We called their office late Monday (just before closing) and they promptly arrived mid afternoon (the next day). To our satisfaction, they professionally completed our job in three hours. Fortunately, during our basement remodeling "update" we learned that our shower was draining into the floor drain. Nate and Marcus immediately removed the surrounding concrete and installed a new coded drain. Additionally, after removing a part of the vanity, they also successfully (per code requirement) installed a vent into the wall. Nate and Marcus were "First Class" professionals and took special care to explain their services and the payment schedule they would be working under. It was a WONDERFUL experience working with them and we are so glad that we were placed on their schedule.

Great! Ben came out and was on-time, was able to come out same day around our schedule and was very educational as to what was actually plugging the drain. Will be sure to use them going forward for all our plumbing needs.

I considered using an Angie's List provider that offered a deal, but after reading many good reviews on Weld and Sons, I decided to go with them. The plumber called about 15 min before he came to my home as I was told he would. He was polite, pleasant and professional. I also appreciate that he removed his shoes before entering my home. He said I had a pretty bad drain clog, one of the worst he's ever seen, and worked hard to clean it out. He replaced a leaking pipe and also pointed out one pipe that was rusting. After working for about an hour, he successfully cleaned out the drain and did a good thorough test on it to make sure it was unclogged. I asked him if I needed to watch the rusting pipe and he said if I wanted to be proactive I could have them come out and replace it, and I asked for the approximate cost of replacing the rusted pipe and he gave me one, which I thought was reasonable. All and all, a good experience. I would use Weld and Sons again.

Mark, who handles scheduling, answered all my questions thru email. Kevin, the technician who did the work was fast, efficient, and did a top quality job. He was in and out in less than 2 hours (including clean up). Plumbing work can be expensive, but these guys seem fair and honest with cost. I had another company (Benjamin Franklin) give me an estimate for the same job that was twice what Weld charged (and they tried to sell me on additional unneeded work). No sales pitches from Weld, they just did the work that was needed. I will definitely be using Weld and Sons in the future for any plumbing needs.

This was a quick job for the plumber and he was also able to replace my bathtub drain and unclog a slow draining sink while he was there. I was very happy to cross a few things off my list at a reasonable price.

Great! When Kevin, of Weld & Son, went to the main bathroom, he found someout of code plumbing. He recommended we fix it to eliminate surges of cold water when the toilet flushed. Boy is it nice. To prevent sweating, on the outside of the toilets, he recommended insulate tanks. We are so please with them! Not only no sweating, but they are 1 1/2 gallon flush, which is nice.

We called to set up an appointment in the morning due to the basement toilet make a gurgling sound. They called back after a couple hours and said if we were home they could stop by. As we were working we postponed the drain cleaning for a more convenient time. After coming home that evening we learned it was more than a gurgling toilet but the sewer backed up into the basement. We called back and left a message in hopes to get someone available the next day. Fortunately Ben was able to get us on his schedule and came the next afternoon. Ben called about 30 minutes out so we were ready for the visit. He was very professional, knowledgable and informative. Our house had been empty for about a year before we moved in so we had some significant roots in the drains. Ben was able to clear them all our in about an hour and a half but he did have to use the camera to see why the drain was so long. He cleaned up after he was completed and doubled checked the drains worked for us.

It went beyond my expectations. I have used Weld & Sons before and have never been disappointed. Ben Pullis went above and beyond. His service was exceptional. I have had these drains cleaned many times before. When I told Ben that, he showed me how to prevent it getting so bad next time. No one has ever done that for me before. He inspected the pipes and repaired a leak we didn't even know was there. He even scrubbed my tub when he was done. I don't have enough adjectives to use to describe how pleased I am with his work.

I phoned Weld & Son first thing the following morning and explained my problem. As I have experienced in the past the person receiving the phone call and the scheduler were very concerned and realized I needed help ASAP. They gave me a two hour window and as in the past, phoned twenty minutes prior to arrival in the first hour of the window. The plumber arrived right on time and was very knowledgeable. As we have scheduled a complete remodeling of the bathrooms in just a few weeks, the plumber gave me options for a fix to keep the cost of the fix to a minimum. I was very satisfied with the result. Weld and Sons are our plumbers on a permanent basis! The price is right!

The plumber was courteous. He showed up a little late but called in advance. However, he did not fix either problem. The toilet and the outdoor faucet still leak. $219.00 is a lot of money to pay for nothing. When I asked about replacing the outdoor faucet, he said he didn't have one with him and that the company prefers that they use the existing fixtures when possible. It seemed a little odd to me that he wouldn't bring new parts with him just in case.

Ordering the fill valve took time because it is a French Porcher toilet. Other plumber I called wanted to make two service calls - one to determine part number and one to install. Weld trusted trusted my research and ordered off my information. I warned the scheduler that we had a couple of other small items, and everything was taken care of efficiently and professionally. No bill yet because he had only an oral estimate of the cost of the new faucets. After many years of dealing with plumbers, these guys go to the top of my list.
