called for clogged bathtub drain and then discussed the basement laundry area drain was backing up when washing machine would drain. ben pullis agreed to take a look and indicated i could save money by adding on an additional drain cleaning since he was already there. his drain cleaning worked and now we no longer have back up when washing machine drains. i appreciated ben's willingness to do more work and explain the savings to me.

Though the job and quality of work was well, the price was horrible. They underbid the job to get my service. Watch these guys very carefully. If you have them perform any work and keep them working or else it will cost you a lot of money.

Excellent service. They rearranged their schedule to work me in quickly and same day. Clyde was friendly and professional, did not mind me observing (trying to learn and improve my own plumbing skills!), explained everything he did, and cleaned up afterward. I don't really care for pricing arrangements that use a trip fee plus hourly (my usual plumber is simply hourly but could not get to me for several days); but other than that it was great service and I would use them again.

Very well, kind, courteous and looked at the projects, told me about an hour to do the one, and he did all three within the 1 hour time frame. Great job, will use them again!

The job took 3 hours as I expected. Folks these guys are the rock stars of plumbing, especially Marcus. I know plumbing is expensive so if you choose these guys you should know that they have a $125 service call fee (read cover charge) and for my job they charged $40 to remove and dispose of the old laundry tubs. I think that onet's a bargain. Marcus' work was flawless and better than I expected He's a true professional in every sense of the word. He is a real person's person, outgoing, likes to chat and loved to talk about his work. He didn't mind my watching and my, perhaps silly questions to him, but he explained everything he did and why. SIMPLY AMAZING!! Every person I talked to from Michelle on the phone to Mark in scheduling to DON himself, the owner, were personable, honest and genuine. You can't go wrong with this company people. They're the best!

Explained in the service they provided. Very impressed with his work ethics, ability and job he did. If I owned a business I would hire the plumber that did the work. Should I say anymore!

It was the first time I was using them and I thought they were expensive. He did a good job on most of the things. When he was trying to get off the old kitchen faucet, he dented my sink. When he put in the second faucet he did not put it totally over the hole so the back part was open. I was not happy with my sink being dent.

Ben Pullis called 20 minutes prior to his arrival. He showed up in the time frame that was scheduled on Saturday (between 9-11 am). Ben is an extremely friendly and knowledgeable plumber. He let me know that the problem was just a buildup of gunk over time on the pipes which narrows them and creates that trickle draining effect. He used his "magic" heavy duty snake and cleaned everything out in about 1/2 hour! So happy with fast efficient and friendly service! Will definitely call Weld & Sons for any future plumbing needs.

The leak developed Sunday evening. I called Monday morning at 8:05 and spoke to Michelle, who was polite, friendly, and helpful. She explained that they were busy after the weekend, checking messages from over the weekend, making call backs, and so forth, but that a scheduler would call me back. The scheduler called back within an hour or two (I forget his name, but like Michelle, incredibly professional and nice), and they were able to schedule a visit that afternoon already. Marcus showed up at 1 and was done by 2. He was incredibly professional, pleasant and polite, explained thoroughly what the job would entail and the cost estimate, asked if I had questions and answered them, and then proceeded to do the work after I gave him the go-ahead. The work he did was top notch. I understand their workload and commitments may not always allow such speedy service. But I was delighted they were able to come so quickly. I can't speak more highly of this group of people and how they treated me, and of course of the work that was done. Truly professionals, and just really nice, friendly people to boot.

The whole process could not have been better. Sarah was fully informed when I called to set up service and she answered questions about options and costs. Ben, the installer, was prompt and very careful because he had to access the unit through a carpeted family room. We were very pleased and will not hesitate to recommend them and use them again.

I have a basement bathroom that is rather groddy. I had a toilet in there from the Hoover Administration and wanted it replaced as it was constantly backing up. I got a estimate via email and with pictures that I really appreciated. Clyde came out, as is the case with many old homes I assume, found that my toilet wasn't the main culprit but rather the jury rigged plumbing by previous owners. The estimate also suggested a drain trap that I could clean out myself, not someting I suggested we do. Clyde was professional, hardworking, polite, etc. Put my new toilet in and illuminated to me that I would see some performance improvement, but that the plumbing was mostly affecting the capabilites of my toilet. When the drain trap was installed, part of the shoddy plumbing was exposed and now some waste water could be seen (in my open floor) going into the poorly plumbed (not by Weld) waste stack. Owner Don came out to review what was going on and I got another estimate to break up surrounding plumbing and have the previously shoddy plumbing fixed, for another $800. I have acted on that--over a year later--and am pleased with the out come. Marcus and Brant fixed that, were clean, professional and explained what they were up to to a nosy home owner.

Claude the plumber was on time and installed the toilet straight away. He showed how it worked and had some suggestions about how to vary the flush power, and how to dispose of the old toilet safely. A great job.

Called office for emergency repair. Plumber was out within 3 hours and repaired leak (replaced tee joint).

I called Weld and Sons to help me with an on going issue I was having with a leaking plumbing vent pipe and also look into low hot water pressure in both my bathrooms. My technician was Kevin and he was great! For the leaking vent pipe, he listened to the problem I was having and really took the time to understand the issue. We spent a good amount of time looking at everything and several solutions. He was able to come up with a fix that I was very pleased with. He was very courteous and easy to work with. We had to go into some walls and he made sure I was okay with everything before doing anything. I found him to be very knowledgeable and and helpful. He also took time to educate me on my plumbing and answered all my questions. Kevin also was able to resolve my low hot water pressure in my bathrooms. It turned out that the waterline from the wall to sink just needed to be cleaned out by back flushing it. A neat trick Kevin had up his sleeve and it worked!! If I ever have an issue again I will definitely use this. I'd also like to mention that the owner Don took several of my phone calls to try and help be resolve my issue before sending anyone out. I would definitely recommend Weld and Sons for plumbing work!

We just moved into a recently renovated home, and found that the new kitchen sink/garbage disposal wasn't draining. We originally thought it was the garbage disposal, but after calling Weld & Sons, decided it was probably a problem with clogged pipes. He tried to trouble shoot with me over the phone which was above and beyond what was necessary, but very much appreciated. After talking, we thought the pipes probably needed to be snaked out. The appointment was scheduled for the next day. The plumber was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He was on time and worked efficiently. He thought that during the renovaton, grout was probably poured down the drain. He had to work really hard to snake out the pipes, but was successful! I would use them again without hesitation!

They were able to make it out to our place on the same day I called, within a few hours of calling, which was terrific. Clyde did a great job of showing me what he was doing, explaining why he was doing it, and answering some general questions I had about the plumbing in the house. Very personable guy & obviously a skilled plumber, both of which we appreciated. The sink repair was very fast, and he also replaced the shut-off valves which were acting up when he tried to close them to do the sink work. Totally happy with the work he did. Their rates seem to be in line with or on the higher end of what other plumbing outfits charge, which is why I gave them a 'B' on price. However, I would rather go with an outfit that does great work at market rate or slightly more than with someone who works cheaply but perhaps without the skill or quality. Would work with them again and would highly recommend to anyone else.

Called Weld & Sons to diagnose a problem we had with hot water service. Kevin arrived at the scheduled time and within about 20 minutes figured out the most likely source of the problem. He replaced worn-out parts in two shower fixtures. Everything was completed in under two hours and we have normal hot water flowing through all fixtures.

One of our pipes froze and burst. Luckily we caught it before there was any water damage:) Found Weld & Son's here on Angie's and called them based upon their reviews. The reviews are all 100% correct as this company is outstanding. I called them early in the morning, they immediately scheduled me for service that day. They gave me a time range to expect the technician and he did arrive within that time frame. Also, he called 30 prior to arrival. He immediately assessed the problem and explained to me what we needed to do. The pipe that needed to be fixed was unfortunately in the crawl space under my 120 year old home. Need I say that this was not a job for the weak at heart. This guy found entry from the outside of the home, crawled under the house through cobwebs, broken jars, and pieces of insulation and found the pipe. Seriously, it looked like a horror movie under there! He needed help so they came out the next day. They were on time and ready to work. After assessing the situation they came up with a long term solution. They re-routed the pipe through the basement so that it would no longer be in the crawl space. Also, they replaced the broken pipe with a plastic pipe that would be less likely to burst. They only charged me for one home visit and spent a total of 4 hours on the project. Total came to $530! I felt that this was an amazing value. It's not that their prices are lower than other companies but they knew exactly what to do and worked very efficiently. I spoke to the guys afterwards and found out that many of them are family and that everyone has been with the company for years. So no subs and no turnover. That speaks volumes!

I connected with Weld through Angie's List. Before sending a plumber to the house, the Weld office confirmed the services I needed and even put me directly in touch with the plumber regarding a question I had. He provided me with a couple of options to consider, which was nice to do before he arrived. I appreciated that Weld and Sons gave a relativity narrow two hour window for when they might arrive. Clyde gave me a courtesy call 30 minutes before he arrived and was right on time. He quickly took care of the drain and then accepted my help in working on the water heater (basically I offered to haul sediment-filled water buckets out of the basement so that the work could be completed a bit more quickly), which also gave me the chance to visit a bit and observe. Clyde was able to describe what he was doing and why, and what the hoped for - and possibly less than hoped for - results might be. We were persistent and flushed the water heater thoroughly so that the "popping" noises that had been occurring have disappeared. Although not part of our original plan, I was the last customer of the day, so Clyde also repaired a drum trap that had rusted rusted threads. I was glad that he had a part in his truck to take care of it. Punctual, friendly, and helpful. If Clyde is representative of the Weld and Sons company, they have a good thing going. I would call them again without hesitation.

They are great. They are timely. They did exactly what they said they were going to do; no surprises. They were straightforward and down to earth.

The Weld & Sons technician was very prompt and knowledgable. As we had opened up a portion of the basement ceiling under the tub and behind the 1st floor valves, access to the work area was not a problem and he immediately and methodically removed the old piping and trap and installed/tested the new equipment. He also took the time to run a snake towards the main stack to clear out another obstruction. He left the work area impressively clean on both floors. He also advised us on the resolution of a few other minor plumbing problems within the house. Weld & Sons were very easy to work with, from the initial contact through the final repair. Multiple office staff were able to answer our questions regarding the nature of the problem and what the resolution would be even before an appointment had been set. We definitely would recommend Weld & Sons and will call them again for any future plumbing issues.

I have used several different plumbing firms over the years, but this was the most efficient firm I've dealt with. The called to remind me of the appointment I'd made, then within a half hour of their arrival time. The plumber arrived exactly on time. He worked efficiently and had no difficulty installing an unusual type of faucet. Very professional and efficient, completing the job in a shorter time than I would have expected. I will definitely recommend the firm to others.
