Great! I messaged them with my problem (leaky pipe in the main water line) late last night. Mark replied early this a.m. and had a tech here first thing. An hour later we had a shiny new pipe in place! The tech also helped me understand why the problem happened in the first place and how to prevent future problems. We'd definitely use Weld & Sons again!

Our basement shower backed up and overflowed because 2 floor drains were blocked---a real mess. I called Weld and Sons and they came out that morning. Ben, the technician did a good job of communicating and getting info about the problem before he arrived, so he was prepared for the work. Fortunately he had a technician training with him that day to help. Our home is over 100 yrs old and our doorway and basement steps are narrow. Although it was a very difficult job, they still managed to get the equipment necessary to open up the lines and drain the water into the basement. (He said they also have other equipment they can use, for small stairways, etc.) They were very professional. He figured out the problem areas immediately, took care of it with almost no mess anywhere. A big deal since this was very messy in our unfinished basement. I was doing laundry that afternoon.

I have been working with a clogged drain in my bathroom over the last couple of months, they have actually been slow since I moved in 5 years ago, but up until about 2 months ago I was able to keep it at bay. Finally they got to the point I couldn't use the bathroom sink. I finally decided to purchase a drain cleaning after a couple of failed attempts myself. I decided on Weld and Sons due to their rating and reviews. They responded within a day, Ben came the next day in the time they stated he would be here. I showed him the problem drain and the pipe locations in the basement. He went right to work and I got out of his way. The pipes were pretty clogged and it took a while and when he was done it was running like it never had, since I have lived here. We discussed the bathtub drain and I decided to get that done for an additional charge which is to be expected. He worked on that for another 20 - 30 minutes and it cleared. It is all looking good now and I finally feel I can use the bathroom without the clogs causing problems or feeling like they all of a sudden won't drain. I am extremely happy and will use them in the future.

The entire process was great!! From the original consultation, guidance provided for my purchase, scheduling the removal and subsequent visits to complete the new drywall - it was excellent. Everyone I dealt with was polite and very helpful, responsive, and provided top quality service. During the installation day the team noticed a crack in the new tub. They rushed to get a replacement tub, and brought extra crew to ensure the installation was completed that day. I would recommend Weld & Son's without reservations.
Description of Work: I noticed some hairline cracks in the bottom of my bathtub. I wanted to replace the tub to prevent water leakage, and I wanted a deeper tub than the original owner had chosen. Weld & Sons removed the existing tub and surround, extended the wall for a wider tub and surround, and installed the new tub and surround. The total cost included the purchase of the tub and surround.

I have used Weld & Sons several times for general plumbing and sewer cleaning jobs. I contacted Weld & Sons to see if they could help me with some plumbing upgrades and yes, they have a crew that does such work. Brad & Zach started promptly at 7:30 AM and worked diligently for 3 hours and completed the job. I expected the job to take longer. They took all the old parts out of the house and piled them up so I could easily dispose of them. They left the work areas cleaner than they found them. All the installations are working perfectly two week later - we couldn't be happier!

For a few months in the summer of 2015 I was having a small water problem in my basement & couldn't determine where it was coming from. It continually was coming straight up through the basement floor. Since I'm a fairly new homeowner, I really did not know what to do about it. A relative suggested I call a waterproofing company to come & assess the problem. So in October 2015, after getting opinions from two waterproofing companies (one providing a full estimate for drain tile & sump pump at the tune of $2,340 because they thought it was a high water table under the basement floor) & the other thinking it was coming down through my chimney & recommended I find a chimney mason), I thought ?maybe neither of these contractors knows what's going on here?. The problem I eventually discovered was a leaking water pipe under the basement floor that led from the kitchen sink & connected to the main water line. I discovered this myself by not using the kitchen sink for a couple of days to see if the water dried up. It did dry up, so I figured that had to be the problem. I then called a plumber, Weld Plumbing, who I found on Angie's List who were able to come out within just a few days. The plumber confirmed it by digging down under where the water was seeping up & found the leak. He ended up replacing about 5-6 feet of old corroded metal pipe with plastic pipe & I've had no more water problem, so that headache has gone away! It cost $634, so I saved myself $2,340 by not having the drain tile/sump pump put in (which wouldn't have solved the problem). It also confirmed to me that I ALWAYS should get two or three contractor estimates/opinions, especially when there is a lot of money involved! And I do recommend Weld Plumbing who were prompt, efficient (he came at 8 am & was done by 1 pm) & price was reasonable for work done & problem solved! He also, without prompting, assessed a slow-running kitchen faucet, said what the possible problem was & how I could find out simply what was causing it. Thank you, Weld Plumbing! I definitely recommend them!
Description of Work: First dug a hole in my basement floor to see if a pipe under the floor was leaking. After learning that it was, dug up a section, removed old corroded leaking pipe & replaced with new plastic pipe. Then poured over what was dug up & covered with concrete.

I called on Friday morning, and Ben came out Friday around noon. Fast service! I called Weld and Sons based on their positive reviews and close proximity to our home. We'd been having a water pressure issue for a couple months and it got to the point where we'd just had enough. I suspected a bad water softener, but didn't have the expertise to know for sure. My initial call to the main office was answered quickly, and I was able to set up a time for a service appointment with a technician. Rates and costs were discussed upfront, so there would be no surprises the day of the service. The service technician (Kevin) arrived within the timeframe that the main office gave me, and he called 20 minutes prior to his arrival. He was very nice and didn't mind having both of our dogs and children running around while he started working. I told him what the issue was, and within 5 minutes he was able to properly diagnose the issue. It turned out to be a failing water softener, and Kevin gave me options on what could be done. After I had decided on a model, he stated that he could have the softener delivered and installed in about 2-2.5 hours. I agreed, and he went to work. True to his word, the old softener was removed and the new one installed in under two hours. He tested it, and then went over the new units basic operation with me. His work was neat, professional and tidy, and (outside of a new water softener) he left no trace whatsoever. We now have soft water and our water pressure back, and are very satisfied with the work performed. If I have any further plumbing issues in the future, I will contact Weld and Sons.

I was very grateful that Weld & Sons opened at 7, since I found the leak at 7:05. They were able to get me into their schedule and had a plumber on the way almost immediately. I was very happy with their service and professionalism. It was a very difficult leak to locate and had us both stumped but in the end, Manny was able to locate it and take care of it. It ended up being the hose in the back of my frig but it wasn't pooling or running out from under the fridge, just directly into the floor boards which were right under our bathroom. It was tricky. Anyway, good, prompt service, fair prices (who likes the cost of calling a plumber ever anyway?), and I am happy to have the leak stopped.

We had noticed water seepage on a basement ceiling and on the exterior of the house near the foundation. Weld was able to get a plumber out within a few days of my call. He arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem -- a leak in the kitchen sink pipes inside the wall-- and fixed it quickly with the tools and parts he had on hand. He was very professional, and didn't leave a mess. Plumbing work is never cheap, but Weld gave us efficient service so the price was probably as low as it could be.

Late in 2014 we had Don out to our home to meet with us about what we were wanting to do for our basement bathroom. He was on time, polite and extremely helpful. He offered several additional ideas for how we could re-arrange our layout of the bathroom. We liked some of his ideas so much we decided to move forward with a couple of them. We informed him that we wanted to do as much of the work ourselves as we could manage and he was more than accommodating. Due to the availability of funds and our own progress on the framing of the bathroom, we didn't end up having them come out to do any work until September of 2015. Calling to schedule the work was no problem though. It was as simple as a phone call to verify that the quoted price was still valid, faxing in the approval of work and scheduling a time for the team to come out and do the work. The team of two (Marcus and Matt) arrived on time and were so tremendously helpful. Their work was efficient, clean (plastic tarps were put up all around, drop cloths laid out on carpet, etc) and they never hesitated when we barraged them with questions. They took the time, every time, to stop and answer our questions thoroughly. They didn't object to us checking in on their progress and taking pictures as they went. The first day was spend breaking apart the floor concrete to expose the main sewer line and to lay the pipe for the drainage and venting of the toilet, shower and vanity. The inspector was all lined up for later in the afternoon and everything passed without issue. Once all the work was approved by the city, they connected and glued all the pipes. The second day (half day really) was spent wrapping things up and pouring the concrete over the exposed piping. We also opted to have a custom shower pan poured for the shower. Originally, the carpenter (Russ) was scheduled to arrive that following Wednesday but we discovered we had some additional framing to complete. A quick call to their office scheduling and we were easily able to push the arrival of the carpenter out by a week so we could finish the framing. Russ arrived on time as well and was also more than happy to work with us and answer our questions. He mixed all the concrete for the shower pan outside and left no mess whatsoever. He was happy to walk us through his process and was very accommodating. We were planning on doing the water supply ourselves but honestly our experience with Weld was so positive that we're planning on hiring them to run the water supply lines too.
