Weld & Sons Plumbing

When I called Weld, they put me in touch with Tim (a plumber) so I could explain the problems. He helped me find the right brand of trip lever (a side mount) for our toilet. The problems we had could have been coming from the trip lever, the flapper, the fill valve or all of those. The plumber (Clyde) arrived on time, and we talked about what needed to be done. The toilet was 6 years old, and we agreed that he should replace the flapper (which I provided), the trip lever (which he provided), and the fill valve and supply tube (both of which he provided). For the dishwasher, he leveled the dishwasher, rescrewed the upper left bracket, and shimmed the back wheels. The toilet fills faster and quieter, and the dishwasher fits much better than before. The service call was $72, 1 hour of labor was $136, parts and materials were $54. Total bill was $252, including the $10 Angie's List coupon.

They repaired a pin hole on a vertical pipe just above the water heater. Service call was $72, labor about $32 and then parts and materials. It was like $239 - $240. The work was fine, it was top notch, he did a good job. We were satisfied. My husband is a tradesman and so he thought he had figured it out pretty well. Workers just came in to do their work and that was it, they just focused on their or whatever needed attention. Price was perfect, because some others that he called charged more for labor. That was the second time we used them.

In and out in less than 1 day. Everything was spotless when they left and they made sure every faucet had proper water pressure before leaving. It's a pleasure to actually have great water pressure and hot water when I need it. Its been two months since the service and no callbacks. Many thanks to them. They will be my go-to for plumbing issues.

Weld & Sons did an excellent job estimating, completing the work, and were very fair as far as finding the best and most cost-effective solution to repair an S trap issue in my basement.

I was able to get an appointment for the next day. They called when they were 25 minutes away, which is nice. It meant I could work until they called. They repaired the leak quickly and explained why it was leaking. It was also nice that they asked if I had any other plumbing work to be done, since you pay for an hour no matter what. Unfortunately I didn't have anything else that needed repairing.

The small project went fine. Weld and Sons is who I call whenever I have a plumbing project.

Manny arrived on time and quickly repaired the leak under the stairs. Removed leaking steel piping (that had been installed who knows when for a long gone water softener) and replaced with copper pipe and joints. Took less than an hour and rates were exactly as quoted over the phone. No mess - no drama. Thanks for the Angie's List discount and Manny's great service.

We really like this company and will certainly have them out for additional work. The sink was installed in a timely manner, our upstairs faucet drip was fixed, and cleanup was great, very professional. Great company.

My technician was super helpful. I have problems with a bathroom stool freezing in the winter. He gave me a great suggestion for fixing it--I did the work, so we'll see if it works. I had to call them to come back to the house because the drain, under the new sink they installed, was leaking. They were reasonably prompt and fixed the problem. I really appreciated that my technician was so friendly and helpful, generally. Made all the difference in the world.

Ben P. came out. He was prompt, courteous, very conservative and reasonable in what he suggested and did a great job and did it quickly. Had another plumbing company that we've used for years come out first and they had given me a much higher estimate for the same work. Will never use them again and will definitely call Weld & Sons the next time we need plumbing work done.

The technician arrived on time. He performed the work in record time. He cleaned up when he was finished and took the old disposal with him. I have used Weld & Sons in the past and will call on them again when I have a plumbing problem.

Probably got lucky in getting same day service as plumbers are usually really busy. But the service was great, fast, and reasonably priced. We got $10 off the service call with a coupon from angie's list and another 10% off the bill because we are over 65 years old. Gentleman who did the work was Ben, very friendly and thorough. Didn't leave any mess for us to clean. We would use again without hesitation.

Clyde from Weld & Sons was punctual, courteous and very professional. He snaked the drain and replaced some pipe connecting the disposal. All in all it was a great service call but unfortunately it looks like the problem is our dishwasher so will have to make another call. I will definitely us Weld & Sons again!

Two gentlemen showed up right when they said they would. One got straight to work replacing the seal around the base of the toilet, and the other the outdoor faucet. The faucet was difficult as there was almost no way to access it from the inside. After trying to do it he "easy way," we came to the conclusion the only way to access the part they needed was to cut a hole in the wall. Thankfully, that hole is behind our dryer, so you'd never know it was there, and they placed an access panel over it so if we ever needed to get to it again, it would be very easy! They cleaned up spotlessly and were very nice and courteous! We've had Weld & Sons come before, and for sure will again!

They got the job because they were willing to excavate under a tub. They were able to tie onto good pipe and make the repair. They also improved the pitch of the line, which probably cause the problem in the first place. I couldn't be happier. I've used them again already for a small job since that time.

I'm very pleased with the end result. For the kitchen sink he cut and sized a replacement piece of pipe and installed to fix the leaking piece. He also tightened a loose faucet but suggested replacement. He was very thorough cleaning the drains - even removed the trap under sink to manually clean. He also detached and cleaned the inside of the drain pipes from the unfinished area of the basement. The only reason that I give them a B is because he left me a bit of a mess. He used my laundry sink to clean out his snake tool and left black crud caked to the side of the tub from top to bottom. I always expect to clean up after a plumber but this was worse than I expected. Despite the clean up I would hire again.

Fast, clean and very professional. Weld and Sons made this huge project painless. 3 years later the plumbing has never given us any problems and the remodeling looks as good as the day it was finished. Pretty great for a 1940's house!

I have been using them for a few years now. Same great service. Called first thing in the morning and they had someone out a few hours later. Ben was professional and kept the area clean and explained what was going on. It only took him 30 mins. I was pleased by the price. Very reasonable.
