Description of Work: Called them because I thought my water heater was leaking. It wasn't the water heater, but Clyde found the problem (cracked tube from the water softener) and fixed it. He also found an area on our furnace where a small amount of gas was leaking and fixed that as well. I called in the morning and Clyde was here in the afternoon, I wasn't expecting someone here that quickly, but appreciated the fast service. Clyde was very friendly and did a great job. Will use Weld and Sons again when needed and will also refer them to friends!

Description of Work: Basement bathroom. Utility use only. Project went well. Work was actually done in 2008 or so but this form only went back to 2011.

Description of Work: Replaced bathroom sink faucet and cleared clog. It went fine, no major issues and the plumber was skilled, thorough, and efficient.

Description of Work: They installed a plate on the concrete floor in our basement so we could install a toilet. They also installed the toilet. They did great work at an affordable price. I would hire this company again, without question.

Description of Work: They sent someone to unclog a toilet on the same day that I called. The toilet had unclogged itself, but he snaked it anyway to be on the safe side. He adjusted how much the tank fills, and changed the aerator on a faucet while he was here.

Description of Work: Kevin did an excellent job of replacing our sump pump with a new one and installing a battery back-up. Would definitely use for plumbing needs again.

Description of Work: Weld and Sons did a substantial amount of work on our house remodeling, including two bathrooms, a kitchen, and new hot water radiators. Every worker was professional, skilled, and helpful. They were prompt, stayed late when necessary, and answered any and every question I had, including important information about how systems worked and about maintenance. I recommend them most highly.

Description of Work: We had a clogged bathtub. They came out and cleared our drain.

Description of Work: My wife and I are having the second floor bath totally redone: new tub, toilet, vanity and vanity top. Weld and Sons is doing all of the plumbing work. So far they have removed the tub, installed the new tub and re-did the water pipes. After the person finishes the tile work (bath/shower walls and the floor), Weld and Sons will come back to install the toilet, vanity, and sink. We have been quite happy with the work done so far as well as the professionalism of everyone we have dealt with. I will update this review after they finish, probably in about 2 weeks.

Description of Work: Installed a new Rheem hot water heater. They did a very nice job in a timely manner, The only thing was the estimate was lower than the actual cost due to the fact they forgot the permit fee that Woodbury requires ($110).

Description of Work: Checked leaking faucets and recommended replacements, cleared traps, and will replace faucets without additional charge for the visit if we purchase new fixtures, which we plan to do.

Description of Work: We had a series of minor plumbing issues, and used Weld three times in 2013. Each time the plumber was knowledgeable and polite, and did really good work. Left no mess. | |No plumber is inexpensive.

Description of Work: I was in the middle of a complex remodeling job, and trying to move a toilet waste pipe and shower drain. Attempting to cut the waste pipe proved too much time and effort. I called Weld and Sons the next morning, and they had someone there by 1 pm. The two guys looked at what I was trying to do, and had experience with the in-wall tank toilet I was attempting to install. The knew a better way to install than the manufacturer suggested. After discussing how to reconnect the waste pipe, and route it around the myriad of existing plumbing in the small space, they had the complex job done a about two hours. | |As they were leaving I showed them my attempt at the shower drain. They told me it was not up to code and explained why. they came back the next day after a call that morning and plumbed the drain using 2 inch pipe and proper venting that I did not do. | |While I did not get a complete estimate from them, I knew the hourly rate. In fact they only charged me for 1 plumber in stead of 2 the first day. Absolutely great service and very helpful with a novice plumber doing his own renovation.
