Responded fast when our hot water went out. Found the perfect replacement water heater at an unexpectedly low price. Swap out and install was efficient. No issues or problems. Ray was friendly, hardworking, and professional. Left area cleaner than when he arrived too!

It went very well. He showed up on time and did a very efficient on very short notice.

I called up Ray after I determined when my water heater will arrive at my place. Ray was very accommodating and flexible when I learned my water would not arrive on the exact date and rescheduled. I scheduled for an appointment at 7am and a colleague showed up exactly at 7am. I really appreciated that. The colleague laid down clothe to ensure dirty water did not leak out from the old water heater upon removal. Even though I drained the water in the water heater the previous night, there was left over residue at the bottom of the tank that needed to be emptied. The colleague determined this by running a hose from the side of my house down to the basement drain. Once the colleague verified the drain can handle the power bast output from the old water heater, he successfully drained the remaining water in the old water tank. He then removed the old water tank and brought in and install the new water tank without any issues. There were a couple of items that I feel could have resulted in a more positive outcome. I compared prices with Home Depot, Warner Stellia and Lowes. I also tried to get a more accurate price compare from Amazon. Amazon listed a replacement water heater as the least expensive but no one took up the bid to get back to me. I thought by no going through Home Depot and Lowes that I would be saving money overall but I did not. I reasoned this by picking a comparable water heater and calculated the tax and shipping cost then deducted the cost if I paid for the water heater through a different provider and find an installer. The piping work for this job was less pervasive yet more expensive than Home Depot and Warner Stellian. Warner Stellian and Home Depot water heater is taller and a lot more pipes would need to be adjusted. It turned out that the big box stores offered comparable prices and using Amazon will probably be the best bet for a least expensive to install a replacement if someone responded. This part makes me a little bit sad because that means businesses that do not partner with Home Depot or Lowes will have a tougher time to compete for business. I also must not have communicated well or I misunderstood when I talked to Ray on the phone because I mentioned the piping work specifically and I thought the price quote he gave me included that work. The only additional piping work needed I would be charged is to bring the water heater plumbing up to code. In fairness, Ray quoted me $50/part so I am not that surprised, I am just surprised that I misunderstood. The old water heater sludge power blasted definitely felt more expensive than needed too but at that point, I wanted to get it done and the job already started but I do not have a basis of comparison. There are a couple of pieces the install could have gone better too. The colleague forgot the basement drain has a golf size ball to prevent backup overflow. The power blast test did not look promising at first. Ray's colleague also should have tested the hot water pressure from the water facets before he left. I found that out after I turned on the hot water facet that it was pushing out air and sputtering. Also the pilot light on the water heater was not working because he forgot to turn the gas back on to go flow to the water heater. Both of these issues made me nervous but after I read the instruction manual to troubleshoot these two issues, I resolved them myself and hot water is now flowing freely. The unfortunate part is I confirmed with Ray's colleague that everything was good to go and I specifically mentioned the pilot light turned on to the water heater and he assured me that he did do that. These issues are minor but could cause some people to panic. I would hire Ray and his team again but I would recommend to others to compare bids out there too and weigh everything. I feel Ray is very professional and friendly and I do recommend sending work his way if the cost is comparable to the big box stores.

Water heater died on a Saturday morning, new one installed by 4pm, very quick and clean and no unexpected problems.

Just as advertised, the workers showed up at 7am, put down carpet protection, wore dust socks over their shoes, took out the old water heater, put in a new tankless unit, and by 2pm I was singing in the shower. Best thing now, I am only paying to heat water that I use.

I highly recommend Same Day Water Heaters. Ray was at our house at 7 this morning to check out our old water heater, and we had a new one installed shortly after noon. Ray explained the three different options we had and helped us choose the right one for our situation. Nate took out our old unit and installed the new one. He was so nice and professional. Nate went over how the new water heater works and answered all my questions. The area was left neat and clean. The whole process went smoothly and was stress-free for us. I spoke with Ray (owner) over the phone about replacing an old water heater and he offered several options. Ray explained potential options and never pushed me in a direction...he simply provided information and pros and cons and left it up to me. Since I have an older home Ray also explained things that might need to be brought up to code and sent one of his workers to review my situation. The gentleman was on time and gave me an honest and thorough assessment. Even though I was talking to other companies it was obvious that Ray and his team were total professionals and wanted to earn my business. I decided right then to move forward with the install and it was done the same day. The onsite worker took special care in removing my old heater and replacing it with a new one. I'm very pleased with the outcome and can highly recommend going with this company.

Excellent. They removed the old electric water heater from the basement. Installed the new gas line and Installed the new gas water heater. When the job was finished the area was cleaner then when they arrived. I would definitely hire them again.

Ray, the owner, stopped by and looked at our water heater and gave us an estimate. He was on time, friendly and knowledgeable. Next day, we had Nate and Jake come to our house to remove and replace our water heater. It was a challenging job, as access to the water heater was limited. The techs needed to remove a portion of our basement closet wall to remove the water heater. Ray informed us of the space issue before the techs arrived. Also, the techs needed to remove some HVAC duct work to access the water heater. All the work was completed to our expectations and within budget. Nate explained in detail about the power source, anode rod and suggested maintenance. I appreciate that Nate and Jake were on time, courteous and clean. I would recommend Same Day Water Heater if you need your water heater replaced.

Water heater started leaking on Sunday AM, called Same Day Water Heaters and left a message not expecting a response until Monday am. Ray called me back a few hours later and said that he would have someone here first thing Monday and we discuss tank versus tank-less for a few minutes. I did some research and discussed the cost difference with my better half, and we ultimately decided to stay with a tank solution, I called Ray back and he said he would have one here Monday am. Nate arrived 10 minutes before Ray said he would and got right to work. The old heater was removed quickly and the new one was installed without any issues. The whole event took 3 hours end to end. The team explained what they did along the way and cleaned up after themselves – even going so far to make sure the gate was closed after they left. I would definitely recommend Ray and the team at same day to anyone.

Ray's responsiveness and clear communication about the problem, what our options were and how to fix it was fantastic. We came home on Sunday, dealt with insurance and water damage guys and Monday, 6:30 am, called Same Day. Ray called me back by 6:40, startling me that he was up and responding so fast! We chose to change from a giant (80 gal.) electric water heater in our older (1959 original construction), many-times-remodeled home to a tankless gas water heater for a number of reasons after talking with Ray: energy efficiency, energy credit, increase in appraised home value and rave reviews from those we asked. Decision made, Same Day had someone at our house by 9:30 am, assessing the situation which turned out to be quite a bit more complicated because of our many remodels. The team was done and out by 8:30 pm SAME DAY. They had to move our water softener, the laundry tub, put in new venting through our concrete block foundation, run a gas line and install the heater. In addition, Ray installed shut offs where there were none before (older home...) and straightened out the clutter of old pipes that had been kluged to many times. Ray and his team did an excellent job, super fast, super responsive, nice to work with, good communication, etc. etc. I highly recommend Same Day Water Heating, emergency or not. You will be very pleased working with them. Oh and NO FEE for the estimate or assessment!

Had a water heater burts while away on vacation. Called several company's including Same Day. Others were either not responsive or way higher in price. The install was a little more difficult than expected due to location of existing heater. Rather than installing same day as first suggested the owner came over to inspect the site to make sure the install would go as planed and that the price quote would b accurate. They installed the next morning with no issues. Could not be more happy, and would highly recommend same day to anyone needing a new heater!

Ray made a competitive bid and also assured me that he will get it installed the same day if I went with his choice of manufacturer, or I could go for Rheem and wait until Monday (this discussion is happening on a Friday morning). He placed a 1 day rush delivery on the 75 Gal Rheem without raising his bid price. What made things easier was that he agreed to install a brand new garbage disposer (3/4 HP from Amazon.com) for no additional cost (at my request). On Monday morning, the unit was already here at my doorstep. Ray took care of the install, from removing the old water heater to hauling it away, to getting a couple of non-standard parts(my installation was apparently not the standard) from HomeDepot. He also installed the garbage disposer, except I paid a small fee as there was additional electrical work involved, which wasn't apparent when I made the free install deal with him. Ray completed the work professionally (he has been a licensed plumber for many years, branching out to WaterHeaters recently), in good time and at the agreed price. Ray told me he was the 1993 MN state champ for pool, and that comment prompted a few competitive rounds between him and I, and it was a lot of fun to play someone that competitive. Overall, I would say that as discriminating a buyer that I am, I don't see very many providers like Ray around. He is a great person to do business with and he is someone who is not to shortchange anyone just to make a quick buck. Hopefully this positive feedback will help you consider him for your water heater needs.

Water heater finally surrendered to old age on the evening of 3/29/17. I called Same Day Water Heaters and talked to Ray. The next morning Nate arrived with our new Bradford White heater. Nate carefully removed the old heater and installed the new one. Nate was professional and friendly and made sure the area was left clean. By 10:00 AM our new water heater was installed.

Ray and SameDay Water Heaters could not be more responsive to my needs. As General Contractor, I have no hesitation to call SameDay Water Heaters to take care of my clients. When I call SameDay Water Heaters, Ray is always very professional on the phone and has always installed new water heaters for me when he says he will. My experience with SameDay has always proven that he shows up on time, removes the old and install the new water heater, cleans up and disposes of the old water heater. I am very happy with their work and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a water heater or any other plumbing needs.

Ray was prompt. The old water heater began leaking in the evening and Ray was here the next day to do the installation. He was careful to protect our carpeting when removing the heavy old water heater and completely cleaned up after the job was finished. The installation took only a few hours. The tank-less heater was very easy to set the temperature and from there, it runs itself. Ray checked back in a couple of days after the installation to make sure that I was satisfied. The price that he quoted was exactly what I paid with no surprises. He offered additional information about rebates from the utility company. The unit works well even with high demand from multiple showers and high demand going at once. The unit is compact and my wife loves the extra space in the utility room.
