Vineland Tree Care

All went smoothly. Seamus came out the same day I called. We have a challenging property and he went through our options for removal. Quote was given in less than 24 hours and work scheduled in less than 2 weeks. Conner and crew showed up right on time and I left for work. Everything was taken care of when I got home and they did a fantastic job.

These guys were very reasonable and fast with our job. They were so fast, I had a neighbor ask me if our tree was blown down by the storm of June 2013, because they were not aware we had to take it down due to Dutch Elm! They did a good job and were as reasonable as could be expected for a big job like this.

This is the second time I have had work performed by Vineland, they had previously pruned a very large oak tree in the backyard in late March, and their work is impeccable. My inital consult was with Seamus, who provided me with an estimate for all of the various work that I wanted/need to have done in the yard and he also let me know which work was the most pressing, which really helped me prioritize what needed to be done. I had the same crew on both visits, headed by Steve, who is wonderful. My trees look the best that they have since I moved into the house and everyone from Vineland has been nothing but kind, courtesy and informative. They clean up very nicely after themselves as well. I hope I never am faced with having to work with a different tree care company.

They were very professional, very friendly and very efficient. They did a good job and they were fast. They were very courteous. They asked if I wanted more trimmed off, like getting a haircut. They did a neighbor's tree and they did a really good job. They cleaned up after they were done. They were really good. We had a couple of other people out and they all came in pretty close to the same regarding price. I had seen these guys' work and I had even talked to a couple of them when they were working at the neighbors. They were really nice people. They did a great job. It took them 3 hours and they took care of everything. They made sure that I was happy. They took a check and left. I would absolutely use them again.

Removed overgrown branches from neighbors yard that were affecting the growth of our trees. Trimmed and pruned entire back yard with a team of three men who could climb, saddle and rope from the larger trees. The team arrived on time and worked hard all day and cleaned up leaving the yard looking great! Would definitely recommend and will be using their services again for the front yard.

I had contacted 3 different services to get estimates on my 3 trees/bushes and they had all responded in a short time. I also had them look at a tree in another neighbor's front yard which had been a problem for years with branches hanging over my house and its roots growing into my sewer pipes. All services lead me to believe this tree was in very bad shape and would eventually need to come down. Vineland actually added a note at the bottom of their estimate for taking the tree down. I presented that to the neighbor whose tree it is and she agreed to have it taken down, so I emailed Vineland to give them my neighbor's name and contact information so they could contact and deal with her directly for the removal they want to do in either January or February. I awaited Vineland's call to let me know when they would be coming to trim my trees. I was contacted by their office on 10/14/13 telling me they were working on their schedule and they would let me know on Wednesday what day they'd be coming. Then about an hour or so later, they called me back to say that their crew had been working in the neighborhood and had just completed a job and could come right away if it were ok. I gave them the ok, and 5 men came and did the job in short order. Vineland Tree Service had been the service I had also chosen 4 years ago and I trusted them that they really knew what they were doing. I was not disappointed in my choice. They did a really nice job and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Vineland was great. They were referred to us by our landscaping company after the company that we had originally hired fell through. Seamus was excellent. Because of the problems and delays that we had with the other tree removal company, Seamus worked really hard to fit us in as soon as possible so that our landscaping could be finished. They did a great job with everything, including cleanup.

I was very pleased with the responsiveness of Vineland Tree Care. I was under a deadline by the city of Minneapolis to have a tree with Dutch Elm Disease removed. Despite being incredibly busy, Vineland took the time to fit the removal into their schedule. They were very neat; no dead branches or other brush were left behind, and the stump was ground down to level with the lawn. Also, the office staff person was very courteous and helpful. Best of all, the price was much lower than other bids.

The pre-job consulting was excellent. We learned a lot about our trees in the process. They gave us multiple options to choose from. They did an exceptional job. Fast, efficient, professional, knew what they where doing. The price was not cheap but we got exceptional service and where more than satisfied. No issues and no problems. They even consulted with our neighbor to let them know what would be happening. We will call them again when we have the need. We would highly recommend these guys.

I contacted these guys right away when I learned that I had to remove my tree from my grounds as the city of Minneapolis had marked it as diseased and needing removal. Obviously, no one can be too happy about having an unwanted/unexpected expense. Seeing as how I just moved into the property this year, I was not very pleased. However, I knew I had to get the tree removed so I started my search for a company immediately. My date of first contact with Vineland was July 29th. I am very busy, and the tree needed to be removed asap. Seamus Walsh called me within about 30 minutes of my email and telephone inquiry. He was very responsive and quick to all inquiries throughout the process. I compared rates from several companies; Vineland was very competitive. The fast response, combined with proximity of business, professionalism, and competitive price ultimately had me decide to go with Vineland. I'm not sure if Seamus just knew my type of personality too or what, because he was pretty hilarious. They were very fair with what I wanted done and for the size of the tree. I was also shocked at how quickly the tree was removed; my estimate is they completed the work within 5 hours, including the pruning and removed/grinding the stump of the elm. In a working day, they may have been able to remove that large tree THREE times (hypothetically) with how fast they did it. Very impressive. All in all a good experience. Highly recommended, especially for anyone in the South Minneapolis area.

I had used Vineland before and gave them a deservedly high rating. This time things were more urgent. Our Linden tree, in the front yard,was severely damaged during the last windstorm, and was leaning at a precarious angle. I was concerned that it might fall and damage parked cars in front of the house or passersby. Seamus, with whom I had dealt before, inspected the tree, gave me an estimate on the phone, and said they could take care of it immediately. In fact, it was removed later in the day, quickly and with miraculously little damage to the planting that surrounded the tree. It is true that I was an established customer and not someone calling for the first time, but I think they would have reacted the same way to anyone who might have called. In any event, I certainly appreciated their superior service, and they appreciated my business. That's the way it out to be.

I worked with Seamus Walsh - professional, experienced, knows how to work with the insurance company. He was able to schedule the work the day after coming by to assess the situation. Good crew and crane guy, got the thing out quickly with no damage, cleaned up well. I am very pleased.

In my search for a tree service, I used Angies List to identify tree services with an A rating. I called Vineland, but did not leave a message, as I was searching for someone to speak with immediately. Vineland noted my telephone number via caller ID and called me to see how they could help. I described my situation and received an assessment of my problem and an estimate the same day. They assessment also indicated that there way a possible hole in the roof of the house that they would cover with a tarp as part of their work to remove the tree trunk. The tree trunk that needed to be removed was part of very large oak tree consisting of a three trunks from the ground and needed the use of a crane to remove the entire tree. Vineland indicated that they could perform the work the next day. I agreed to the timing of the work and the price, which was covered by my home owners insurance less my deductable. The work was performed in a very professional manner, including the covering a small hole in the roof and clean up of debris. The only indication of their presence after the work was completed is the tree stump that was left. They also provided some advice on the remaining oak trees on the property that need trimming. They indicated that the best time for that work was late fall or winter and that would provide a discount on that work if I chose them, as a repeat customer. Very satisfied, and plan to call them to do the additional trimming later this year.

They were great. They communicated with me via email, which is crucial for me, sent an electronic version of the estimate, and then came when they said they would and did the work quickly.

I received a proposal for tree removal and disposal for $1200.00 A second storm has hit and now the price of disposal and tree removal has jumped to $2200.00. Obviously, they found more lucrative business since the second storm. When I contacted Jim Walsh to confirm that this wasn't a mistake, his response was that he never approved the first proposal and that it came from "his office person."

I did an online estimate request and emailed and called me immediately. The tree is surrounded by a lot of hosta. He removed the tree, gound the stump, cleaned up and left very minimal damage considering the magnitude of the tree and location. He called to follow up the next day. GREAT SERVICE!!

It all went really well, and it was a good experience!

Overall, fine work, they left a little mess on the snow/ground/sidewalk where tree stump was ground out. I also requested an estimate for a trim on another tree in the yard, but didn't receive one.

They were extremely responsive and professional throughout, from providing a prompt bid with good follow-up to getting the job done. The price was right, and then we lucked out and they had an opening come up right away. The crew who came out to remove the tree were careful but fast, and very professional and polite. They cleaned it all up and left a clean work-site, even picking up a dead limb that had fallen from my neighbor's tree across the alley.

Vineland did a great job and were very easy to work with. They did what was discussed at the time of quote and conversations had before work began. Seemed very knowledgeable and through. The two men that came were very friendly and professional. We have already recommended them to others.

Before the service, they told me that they would call xcel energy to drop my power line before they came to do the service, and that was about the only part that wasn't the greatest, since the lineman came to drop the line at 7am. That in no way reflects on Vineland though, they showed up right at 8am to get started and did an excellent job cleaning up the dead branches and branches that were hanging low or over other buildings, and when I got home from work after they were done, the yard was cleaner than before they started. I would definitely use this service again, they were very friendly, helpful, experienced, and professional.

Vineland responded promptly to my request for an estimate. Seamus was easy to communicate and gave me good advice regarding the option of attempting to save the tree, which had a structural defect, or remove it. After some investigation on my part, I decided that Seamus' advice to remove the tree was wise and contract Vineland to do the removal. The price was competitive, and the work was done with little additional effort on my part. Both the tree and the stump were removed quickly and cleanly while I was at work one day. The site was left in good condition.

Our old Linden tree had given us its shade for many years, but winter frost had cracked the trunk and it was time for it to go. We got written estimates from 3 tree services recommended by neighbors. Jim Walsh came out to look at our tree for Vineland. Jim took the time to answer all of our questions, and promptly emailed us a written estimate that was lower than the others. Vineland's crew is very busy, but they were able to do our tree a week later at short notice when a snowstorm kept them from completing a scheduled job elsewhere. The 4-man Vineland crew was fast and professional. It took them 45 minutes to cut the tree down, grind the stump, and remove all debris, start to finish.
