Vineland Tree Care

From the first call to the office to the final sweep up of twigs on the sidewalk, every interaction was honest, competent, personable, and efficient. They did an excellent job preserving the beautiful structure and form of the tree while removing overhang near the roof and cleaning out dead and crowding branches. I would highly recommend this local company.

The crew did an exceptional job despite having to work right after a weekend-long blizzard that made getting around the yard much more difficult than it should have been for mid-April. I was immediately impressed with Jim Walsh when he came out to give us a proposal last fall. He carefully explained what he considered needed to be done and why but made it clear the decision was ours. He and everyone else we have worked with at Vineland have been highly professional. We will definitely call on them again for future tree work.

Work took place on April 9, 2018 it was right after a small snow storm. I called the morning of the 9th to confirm that they would show because I had snow on the roof and in my trees, I was assured it would be no problem. They showed up on time and said it would take about 2 hours. They had to climb into the trees yard didn't have bucket truck access. I explained what limbs were be remove and the job proceeded. Limbs were remove with out a problem. They had to remove my gate on my privacy fence because it wouldn't open because of ice. They hauled the downed branches and limbs through the gate to the chipper on the street. Replaced my gate, blew off my deck as best could be expected because of slush and cleaned up the street where the chipping was done. Overall good efficient job.

Excellent work. It took a day or two for them to respond, but very pleased with the service and follow up. I especially appreciated the consultation I received regarding tree removal to meet the goals of the project.

The crew arrived as scheduled and performed the task with care and precision. This was a "saddle job" meaning they needed to maneuver amongst the branches hooked to a rope and harness. The cutting was done via handsaw and even the smallest most remote branches were removed. In my view, this was not an easy job due to the branch configuration of the trees involved but they got it done. I was amazed, impressed, and delighted at the result.

They did a great job cleaning up my property: removing a large dead tree and trimming several others back from the roofline to keep squirrels at bay. They handled coordinating with Xcel Energy to take power lines down for part of the service & I didn't have to worry about any of it. The cost they estimated was exactly what showed up on the invoice, too. I would definitely hire them again (and in fact, I already have).

Vineland responded to every correspondence extremely quickly with all the information requested. Service was performed within days of initial contact. The crew was exceptional - punctual, efficient, very careful with surroundings, and did an amazing job of post-work clean up. I would highly recommend Vineland and will hire them again for any work needed.

He told me it was improper trimming over a period of time. I asked him if correct trimming would help. He said not at this time. I am contacting him next year for possible trimming. Very honest assessment. No cost.

Great! I am impressed with the removal of the tree, with the stump left quite low to the ground. The cleanup was awesome - I could not tell that any work had been done. Also, I asked for a call when the crew was on the way to my home. They called as requested - I am quite pleased with that response as well.

Starting with fantastic phone customer service. - work was performed ahead of the scheduled date (Yippee). They came back in 3 days to grind stump. left area all cleaned up. I would recommend them to anyone. Nice, friendly people in addition.

It went wonderfully. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They did a great job, were friendly and professional, worked well with the electricians who were there to disconnect and reconnect the power lines. They did an amazing job of cleaning up the mess when they were done; made a point to put everything back exactly where it had been before they started. The yard looks great. I will call them again any time I need tree work done.

Extremely well. First person came out to assess the work, and provide an estimate. He was ver helpful in providing advice about a number of other questions I had. Received the written detailed estimate a few hours later. We felt it was very reasonable. Appointment was scheduled a few days later. The crew arrived promptly and cconfirmed the exact work to be done. They had to climb up into the large crabapple with ropes. They worked quickly and efficiently and did a beautiful job on all 3 trees. They did not step on or drop branches on the plants in the garden, which has been a problem for us with other service providers. All debris was gathered and removed quickly. We are COMPLETELY satisfied with their work, and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Great experience with Vineland. We had quotes from 2 other companies and Vineland was significantly less expensive. We worked with Seamus and he was very responsive and helpful. Our yard was actually cleaner when they left than when they came, they picked up extra sticks that had already fallen in our yard. Highly recommend!

We are very indebted to Vineland rep Keith Karch, who gave us the bid, for noticing a potentially dangerous split in the fork of the tree, which originally we were only going to have trimmed a little. He didn't try to scare us into removing the tree but simply said that if we hired Vineland they would investigate the split further, and he expressed concern that the tree, which was rather close to our house, could do a lot of damage if it turned out to be rotten enough that it could potentially split and fall. We ourselves investigated the split further and found that indeed there did seem to be a good bit of rot inside the trunk. The tree looked perfectly healthy, but it turned out that when the company we did hire removed the tree, one cross section of the trunk was so rotten that it fell apart while being removed. Again, we are grateful for a pleasant, professional visit with Keith and for pleasant interactions with the Vineland office staff, and we were left with a very positive impression of Vineland.

I had a foreman come out and bid the job in 2015 and ordered the work spring 2016. The power company came and trimmed a large number of limbs and left the debris in my driveway. I called Vineland and let them know the power company was done and to come finish the job. They scheduled out about two weeks, first job of the morning. When the agreed day arrived, a foreman came and said his crew would actually be out that afternoon. He returned a few minutes later and asked if I could move the neighbor's car. I said it doesn't belong to me, and told him which neighbor owned it. He said he'd sort it out. He called me later saying he couldn't reach the neighbor and would try again later - I told him if there was a delay, to please at least remove the debris from the driveway and he promised he would. Several days elapsed with no contact, so I called the office and explained the issue. The owner called back and told me he didn't believe my story, there's no way his foreman would make those promises. A different foreman comes the following day and says they can't do the job unless the power company drops the line. So they schedule the line drop another two weeks out. Finally the day arrives, the power is cut, and the crew arrives. I walked him through the property, asked him to leave a face cord worth of logs for me to split into firewood, and leave for work. When I came home from work, the site was impeccably cleaned and the stumps were cut much lower than I thought possible. But no wood was left as I had requested. In all, those limbs sat in front of my garage door for five weeks, making it impossible to use for parking and I received a cleanup citation from the city. They were the lowest bidders and I suppose you get what you pay for.
