They were incredible. Joe was a part of both jobs. He was either here or readily available at all times. The exterior crew was very efficient, and yet very meticulous. Unfortunately we have woodpecker damage. They filled these areas, and after painting you can't tell there was damage. On the interior painting, they estimated 5 days and were done in 3. They did a great job of clean-up. The painting job itself was absolutely perfect. I would hire Varsity again, in a heart beat.

I was so impressed with Varsity Painters after they painted my 2 story home last summer, that I asked them to paint my in-laws 3 bedroom rambler this year. Joe provided a detailed estimate and explained how the crew would proceed. The crew power washed the house, wood deck, and the garage door, wire brushed and primed the grooved cedar siding, and used a high quality exterior paint. Very professional with a competitive price.

They did a fantastic job and there were no surprises. They were easy to work with and stayed in communication with me. I will hire them again the next time I need painting done.

I’m really happy with the exterior painting Varsity Painters did on my two story home with cedar/stucco siding. The written estimate of three options Joe provided was well thought out and detailed with competitive prices. I chose the option for two coats on the south and west side, and one coat on the north and east side. This included one color for the trim, one color for the siding, and one color for the stucco. The crew were very professional, polite and friendly. I’m definitely going to hire them again. My neighbor said it looks like a new house.

The crew got the whole job done in 5 days and took care of some little repairs such as foundation caulking, gutters, and roof cleaning at the same time. They also replaced all our soffit vents -- an add-on cost, but something that needed doing and I wouldn't have thought to ask for. They did a beautiful job!

Very thorough on power washing - everything looks great! All painting looks great, only minor touch-ups required on hard to reach spots on pergola. Would definitely use again. All the crew were great to work with as well as Steve, the project manager. Very responsive during all stages of the project.

It went very well. Varsity was competitively priced and came with a recommendation from my friend. I, in turn, would recommend them to my friends.

Varsity painters did an outstanding job on our house and exceeded our expectations. All aspects from pressure cleaning the house to prepping it for painting and doing the painting were done with a high level of professionalism and care. Hector and his crew worked quickly but thoroughly and did a fantastic job. They masked off areas to prevent paint spray from going where it shouldn't and did extra things that I didn't expect. For instance they removed the house number plaque from a brick area of the house, removed the numbers, sanded and painted the wood and then put it back up. They even painted the ledger board between the joists on the deck! Edges between color areas were sharp and crisp. We also had a scheduling issue that came up and Steve was very accommodating, delaying our job by a week or two. Varsity painters was actually the lowest of the 3 quotes that we got but I can't imagine the other providers doing a better job. Our house is a two story with a walkout on the back and a 3 season porch, wood lap siding.

These guys did a great job. They called in advance to talk about the job and what I needed. They kept me informed on timing. They worked very hard to match the paint. The job site was clean each day. They finished on time. Very professional. Very responsive. Had the exact same bid as several other companies I got estimates from. I would absolutely use them again.

Varsity Painters did an EXCELLENT job! They took great care in completing the prep work and paid close attention to detail to ensure all painting was done flawlessly. They meticulously cleaned up thoroughly each day and took great care to avoid disturbing any of our many gardens. We were very impressed with their professionalism, expertise and super impress, very pleased with the results! We highly recommend and would definitely hire them again!

Awesome!! (We had them paint our house a few years ago as well so it says a lot about their track record). Steve Melander provided us with a very thorough bid. They came a couple weeks later to do the job. The prep was thorough and the painters were extremely friendly and helpful in terms of answering questions. I had a few questions after the 1st day of painting and Steve texted me back almost immediately even tho it was past business hours. The price was very reasonable as well.

Curt and his team did an excellent job. Even in the July humidity, they worked hard. We have an "L" shaped rambler and they completed the whole exterior in three days with prep and painting. We chose a main house color, an accent color, and eves/trim another color. There was a miscommunication about the eves around the accent color, but it was no problem. I spoke with Curt about it, and they corrected it without any fuss. Excellent customer service. Our contractor friend who installed a new front door for us, before the painting project, was impressed with the quality and timeliness of Varsity Painters. They used quality Sherwin Williams paint. It would have taken us so much longer to do this project ourselves, and it would not have turned out as nicely. Well worth the investment. We interviewed a few Angie's List painters, and Varsity gave the best first impression, very professional, and best cost for the job.

We were very pleased with the results. It looks like a different house! Joe helped by picking out color choices and the painters themselves were great! They worked so hard, putting in long days and cleaning up their work each night. We are pleased with the overall results.

It went very well. The Varsity paint crew was great at communication and listened to any concerns we had. The team was fast and efficient and the quality was great! Actually, our neighbor had a different paint crew at their hose at the same time and I'd say they took twice as long on the project.

The actual painters did a good job but the communication was terrible! Originally I was given a date/week that the power washing would be done, approximately 2 months after the contract was signed. I called on the Monday that I was told would be power washed and was told I was not on the schedule. Joe, the owner who we signed the contract with, left a message a day later saying it would most likely be the week after but promised someone would call back on Friday to confirm. No call Friday, Monday I called again, was told my house would be power washed the next day, I asked when someone was going to let me know and tell me if I needed to do anything to prepare for this, I then got a call from Adrian who would be my contact/supervisor for the painting job. I spoke with him, he told me what would happen with the power washing, it was completed, and they were to start painting the following week. I asked about the paint color and someone painted a small section behind a tree to see if it would work. Luckily it did work even though it was hard to tell based on where they decided to paint the sample. Adrian and I set up a time to meet on Monday morning, the day painting was supposed to start. I let him know I had to go into work but would go in late to meet him. I waited for him to show up and at the meeting time, called him - no answer; called again, no answer; called Joe the owner and left a message to call me back, no answer and never heard from Joe (I never got a call from him even though when he 'sold' us on his services, he said we could call him anytime and he would be available - I guess that was all a sales pitch). I finally got a hold of Adrian and he said he forgot he was supposed to meet me and was at the store and would be at least an hour and a half before he would get to my house - but he didn't really need to meet with me in person. The painters didn't actually start painting until Tuesday - but none of this was communicated to me. I asked for communication such as when the job would be completed, do they need someone at home to open windows, etc. I was met with little communication and if I did hear something back, it was very vague. I confronted Adrian regarding the lack of communication and I was unimpressed with the amount of money I was paying for the clear lack of customer service I was receiving. His response was to blame others and also said he didn't want to bother me at work. Most of our communication was over text, and never once did I say I was too busy and didn't want communication - all assumptions on his part; and he never took responsibility for it, never apologized. The job was finally finished 6 weeks after it started due to having to order vents (they didn't order enough the first time and a second order needed to be placed). The day the job was going to be finished (they had not yet installed the remaining vents), Adrian texted me to tell me he would have the bill sent to me and he could pick up a check or I could call and pay. I let him know that once the job was complete, I wanted to verify the work and compare the new invoice to the original. 12 hours later, Adrian texted me again about payment. I responded that I didn't appreciate being asked for payment twice in less than 24 hours after the job was complete when it took them 6 weeks to complete the job. His response was that he was just trying to communicate with me like I asked. He won't communicate with me on the job going on at my house but he will communicate (harass) me when he wants payment. He totally missed the mark and I am sure still doesn't get it. If you are looking for any sort of customer service and who communicates with you, don't hire them.

We decided to go with Varsity after getting quotes from three providers. Varsity initially said mid-May for timing, but could not be exact because of weather. It turned out that they were able to start very close the the time the initially stated. They first pressure washed the house and let it dry over the weekend. They were then able to complete all of the other prep and paining in a day and a half. Everything was done very professionally and quickly. The people were great to work with and we are extremely happy with the result.

This was one of the best experiences with a home service provider that we have had in over 20 years of owning our home. From the initial quote by Steve to the day to day management of the project by Adrian and the pride in their work of each worker the project was a great experience. In the quoting process we were given choices and recommendations -- other quotes included no choice and implied that there was only one option. Steve told us when the work would be done and his team showed up when he said they would. There was one team throughout the project and no one was pulled from the crew to go to another project. The team worked solidly until the project was completed. The quality of work was excellent and the painting was very professionally completed. As with any project, we asked for a few touch-ups after the project was completed. There was no push back -- the answer was "absolutely, can the team do the work tomorrow?" Wow, that is extraordinary customer service!!! Not only would I use the Varsity Painters team again, I wish that they provided other home services because I loved the combination of a fair price, high quality work and excellent customer service.

If I ever need to hire painting done in the future, Varsity Painters will be my only call. Joe gave us a very thorough and detailed estimate for the job. The work crews showed up when Joe said they would, and did an excellent job throughout the project, and they didn't leave until we were satisfied.

It went well. One of the owners, Joe, came out to do the estimate quickly and was very personable. He also came out about a week before the work began to test out the colors we had selected and answered some of our questions. The work was scheduled for the week of 9/21, but with the rain the painters didn't arrive until that Friday 9/25. However, the project manager Adrian called on 9/21 explaining the siutation and that was fine with us. He also said the crew would work on Saturday to make up the time. The crew arrived around 8AM on Friday. They worked full days Friday and Saturday and wrapped up mid-afternoon the following Monday. They were very neat and cleaned up each day. They were also very good about working with us to let our dogs out when we needed to let them out. The only minor criticism I hae is something I might have missed with the original estimate - they only painted the front of the trim and not the outside/edge of the trim. The side of the trim was painted the house color. I realize that helps avoid taping and speeds up the process (and perhaps that helped the bid come in lower than the others we received), but in hindsight we would have asked about that. I also didn't realize we wouldn't see the owner again and that Adrian would be our point person once the work began - we didn't see the owner again after the color test. But Adrian and his crew were very nice and did a good job. The price came in exactly as quoted.

Joe came promptly and provided a written estimate. We had some problem areas which were discussed and additional prep work was included in the estimate. All work was properly and promptly completed. We felt the quality of the prep work was outstanding. The price was fair and we will definitely use Varsity Painters again.

We had trim and cedar shingled painted. The crew was very good about cleaning up everyday before they left. They kept us posted about when they were coming to do the prep work and when the painting would start. Everything was completed in just a couple of weeks. Adrian, the project manager, spoke to us several times throughout the process and then at the end of the job to make sure all was well. We did need to have some repairs made and we contacted the carpenter they referred us to but nothing has happened other than the carpenter coming out to look at what needed to be done. We will now look for a new carpenter, but that has nothing to do with Varsity.

At every step of the way, we were impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. House painting is all about the prep work, and these guys did SERIOUS prep work. And yet they were done on schedule, with impeccable site cleanup and beautiful results!

They were good. They did painting, staining, and patching in our house.

I wasn't happy. They left their mess around the house. They didn't finished the door they promised to paint. My husband hired them when they were over a thousand dollars over the lowest bid that I have hired. But he hired them because they have great review. They left their stuff all around my yard and I looked at the paint it was dripping. There are places I have to go and ask them to paint. The guy was nice but they repaired and over hang when they found some problems in the inside rather than tell us they were just patching it up without telling, I didn't like that. The job wasn't done well and they didn't finished the job. I thought the price was high considering that most of my home is brick. He is a one guy that hires painters. He is very nice and personable. However, perhaps their work is done differently, done at a different time but I would not have them come and paint my house except through the middle of the summer so maybe then would have done a better job when they are not cozy of the year...I am giving them the benefit of the doubt there.

We could not have been happier with this company. Honest, professional and on time.....From day one the crew was just great to work with. We have had this home painted 3 times. We did not ever have it go as planned and promised. I am telling everyone who wants to work with "good" people to hire them. I need inside painting and will call them for all our needs in the future. As a 65+ year old consumer this company, Varsity Painters is what companies "use" to be like to work with.....We cannot compliment Varsity Painters enough....
