TWIN CITY LANDSCAPE

Twin City Landscape has done work for us before so we contracted with them again on our latest project. This project was a challenge because 35 year old Lilac bushes had to be removed, there is a hill that needed to be leveled, and a 3' retaining wall installed. The work needed to be done for the install of a shed. Overall Twin City Landscape did a great job. The only issue is the work took two days longer than planned. We contacted them saying we were concerned the work would not be done before the scheduled shed install date. They responded with extra people to get the work done on time. We have more projects coming up and will contract with them again.

We enthusiastically recommend Twin City Landscape to anyone interested in superior quality and cost-effective solutions for their deck and driveway projects. Owner, Debbie Petschl worked diligently to come up with a wonderfully creative plan to transform our old broken up 6,000 sq. ft. asphalt circular driveway into a slightly smaller gorgeous perfectly-placed pavered entrance to our home, garage and lawn area. She also designed a beautiful raised 1000 sq. ft. stone patio and walled garden area which we enjoy every single day. Saying Debbie is terrific to work with is a massive understatement. She is completely professional, but connected with us on a personal and practical level, too, from our first meeting. She understood this was a huge investment for us and did everything she could to help us keep costs down. She always responded immediately to our phone calls and e-mails, and always patiently and respectfully listened to our concerns. She came up with excellent remedies for the very few tiny glitches that did arise during this big project. She also made sure there were no “surprise” add-ons to the cost in the end which we greatly appreciated. We are in awe of her broad landscaping knowledge, effective management techniques, honesty and creativity. In addition, her crew foreman, Alex Hart, is everything a home-owner going through a big renovation could ask for. He is a supremely skilled and talented craftsman who has also mastered the fine art of diplomacy when dealing with nervous home-owners going through a big renovation. He always took the necessary time to carefully measure and think about what he was going to do before doing it. He always showed up at least 15 minutes early every single day and made every hour of every day count. He uses his well-honed work ethic to lead his crew by example, and they clearly respect him. We do, too. Adequate superlatives to describe this young man’s character and his work simply do not exist. Joe also added a wonderful dimension to this project. Memories of his truly amazing back-hoe expertise and his wonderful sense of humor will stay with us forever. Most of all, we are impressed with our decision to select Debbie Petschl’s Twin City Landscape to handle our patio and driveway projects! For once we selected the perfect contractor right off the bat!

Debbie and her crew were very responsive and professional. They showed up on time, hard working, respectful and completed the project within schedule. Debbie was very helpful in planning the patio and flexible to any changes or questions. I plan on hiring them for another project next spring!

It went well. Better than expected. The most professional team I've ever hired.

It's owned by a woman. They've been here really multiple times for the past probably 3 years. They've very knowledgeable. They have good ideas. We used them for building a wall in the garden area. It's a big wall, a retaining wall. Not only did they do a good job but they came back the next year on that wall to check it to make sure it was still holding the way it was supposed to. So they do good follow-up.

Fantastic! Debbie is a strong and consistent communicator; and a true partner throughout the process. She talked us through our ideas, and never pressured us towards one direction or another. We appreciated her guidance and expertise, while still being able to retain some of our own initial ideas. There were many weather-related delays in the early part of the summer, and Debbie was great about keeping us informed and in the loop - so we never felt frustrated that things were taking longer to get started. Once she and her crew were able to start, they worked quickly and effectively. We were very happy with the end results!

Scheduling proved a little challenging due to weather and other jobs, but once the crew was going, work went quickly. It took about 10 days from start to finish. We (literally) hit a snag in the beginning when the poorly-installed electrical line to our garage was inadvertently cut during excavation, but I can't fault Twin City Landscape for a previous homeowner's shoddy work. The guys were very accommodating, and worked around the electrician that I had out to re-trench and re-install the electrical line to the garage. Most days I'd get a progress report before the guys left for the day, and Debbie came out at the end of the project to walk through everything and make sure we were happy with the finished product. We're very pleased with how everything turned out, and found Twin City Landscape's bid to be very competitive with other providers that we interviewed.

Debbie (owner) and her crew were very responsive and professional. They made sure to ask specific questions to ensure that we got the end product that we desired. They showed up on time and completed the project within schedule. They coordinated work with the in-ground sprinkler installation. When one of the crew accidentally broke a block window, the team installed a temporary cover to prevent water damage, and Debbie arranged to have a new window installed (the work was done well). She was willing to split the project into two parts due to concurrent work on the front of the house that could have damaged the new plantings and was very cooperative about coming back on short notice. When I mentioned that some of the plants did not look very healthy after a couple of weeks, Debbie came back and looked at them and immediately replaced them with healthier plants.

Great job was very happy with the entire team.

The crew started and finished in the time frame that was designated and showed up every day on time. The workers were all very polite and efficient. They cleaned up daily as much as possible and completely when the job was complete. Any changes in our original plan were discussed and agreed upon before started. We are extremely happy with the end result and the whole process was efficient and stress free for us. We would highly recommend Twin City Landscape to anyone looking at having this type of project completed.

The yard looks fantastic! The quality and professionalism of the team working was amazing. if we had questions, they would stop and answer, and any damage to the yard or gardens they replaced or repaired. The finished as scheduled and walked us through the plan again after completion to ensure we understood the work performed. They offered tips on watering, how often, and how to take care of the new grass seed. They even offered tips for spring once the grass fills in on how to maintain its luster. An amazing group of people to work with and the service level was beyond our expectations. Thank you Twin City Landscape!

Debbie ws are main contact and she was wonderfully responsive and punctual. She gave clear cut responses to our questions and to the point with any questions. She provided a quote quickly and the final work reflected that quoted price very closely. The project was set up well and Debbie introduced us to the project crew the morning the project started. The crew was great and respectful of our home and space. We made a few edits as the patio was being put together and the crew was happy to make the changes. Close out and payment was smooth and painless as well. I would happily use them again.

Very much on top of everything. Very professional and caring. Crew was friendly and fun when I engage with them. were (they fixed and are issues with the connection between the short retaining wall which connects to the patio. I'dues them again easily I would be more diligent in looking for issues.

It went great. There were several layers of rocks and plastic they ended up digging through. Neither they or I could have guessed how much work this was going to involve. They did not increase the price once finding this out, and the quality of the patio was still great - they didn't take any short cuts because of all the extra work they found was they started digging. Debbie did all the quotes, and inspected all the work before she took our money. I was very happy with her.

The front stoop is much wider than we wanted and it is not level. Because they ran into some issues they had to make it larger but it is not level and it is not settling correctly. The right hand side of the stoop is one inch higher than the left. When they pulled out the rock in the back yard they placed it on the driveway. They then used a large tractor machine which tore up our driveway. The plantings are not in the right space. We have made attempts to resolve the issues and the owner is extremely rude and disrespectful. We have paid her 50% upfront but have not made the second payment because there are too many issues outstanding.

We do NOT recommend. Do not trust the owner Debbie Petschl she does not stand by her words or work. Debbie left us with such a mess that we had to have a large tree removed at a huge cost. We gave her ample time to resolve the multiple problems but she took our money ($43,000) and never returned! Our biggest mistake was to pay her in full trusting she would stand by her words but we learned a very hard lesson, do not trust the owner. The list of things that went wrong and were wrong is extensive. The project took some creative engineering to be sure water didn't flow into our garage; Debbie impressed us with her knowledge and practicality in solving this problem. Her crew fussed over the details just like we hoped they would. They were also very accommodating as we fine-tuned the plan and were happy to answer our questions. We're totally delighted with how everything turned out.

Crew showed up first thing in the morning on schedule. We did a walkthrough of all the work to be done, with some final decisions made at the time based on their recommendations. Work was done very well and on time, with no mess left behind. Follow up visit with Debbie identified a couple needed tweaks which were quickly taken care of.

Twin City Landscape was very responsive to all my questions regarding the project, before, during and after, and were very willing to coordinate the project with my fence contractor. In spite of the hard labor hand-removing the old timber wall and preparing the site , the project was finished earlier than anticipated and with a beautiful result!
