It went wonderfully. Debbie responded quickly and my job was scheduled to be done as soon as the soil was warm enough. Jake and his team were professional, friendly, polite and very good at what they do. The work only took a day and a half to complete because they worked steadily and quickly. They cleaned up completely after they were done, even sweeping my driveway. The finished patio looks wonderful. Part of their customer service is to come back in a year to make sure everything still looks good and I am satisfied. I think that is a great touch and shows how confident they are in their work.
Description of Work: I had my large cement block patio removed and a new stone patio installed.

When we initially met with Debbie, we had a vauge idea of what we wanted to do with our backyard. She helped us figure out a plan that would fit our budget and edit our "want" list appropriately. The whole team was hard working, polite, amazingly knowledgeable, and FAST! Debbie and Carl were always around, although I felt I could ask any of the people working any questions. When we had trouble picking pavers at the shop, we called Debbie for an opinion, and she actually came and met us to go through the selection, on her DAY OFF! They were very nice to our little dog, and showed concern about her welfare during the construction. We were very happy with our experience, and felt the price was appropriate for the work. The yard is beautiful, and they do follow up with care the next year which is great. We would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Twin City Landscape installed a paver patio, a large one with benches, in our backyard. Along with that they redid two stairways, put in a retaining wall, and planted beds around the entire space, and planted a birch and a crab apple tree.

Called to get a quote, she was out within a few days and work began within a few weeks. The crew was there on time, and by 6 pm they were completely finished! And my yard isn't tiny! The sod took completely, without any problems. My husband and I still can't believe the transformation! I'm calling them again this spring to do the back yard!
Description of Work: They scraped my lawn, laid sod, dug up the old ugly landscaping rocks and a few bushes. I wanted to keep some of my current trees/bushes, and Debbie helped me decide which were best. They made my lawn look absolutely amazing. They did everything, start to finish in one day! Debbie and her crew have an incredible work ethic, they do it and do it right. I was beyond happy. I have had so many neighbors stop and ask who did the work. Every time I look at my yard it makes me happy. Not one single complaint.

We discussed a couple of small changes in plants and Debbie immediately made the switch. Work was done promptly, when scheduled, and quickly completed. All work areas were left clean and orderly. After living with the work for a week or so, we decided some rocks to be added were missing and the tree and some of the plants were not where we wanted them. We contacted Debbie and one of her workers was out the next day, asked us what we wanted, made changes, checked again, made further adjustments, and did not leave until he was certain we were satisfied. These were two small jobs, but she listened to us, she did what was needed to make us happy, and we are impressed. We hope to be able to use her services again soon.
Description of Work: We asked for a visit and estimate on four small landscaping jobs around our new house. Debbie spent a lot of time listening to us, answering our questions and consulting with us on some of our plant choices, trying to give us what we wanted, but also give us a good long-term result. The estimate arrived quickly, was easy to understand, included a list of specific plants and a drawing of the work. We decided to start with the two smaller projects first, a small planting of 5 trees along the side of the garage and a flowering tree surrounded by a new planting bed of flowers and bushes in front of the dining room window and also along the front walk. Plants already along the front walk were to be moved to the south side of the house.

Debbie was knowledgeable and easy to work with. We were on a tight schedule and she was able to complete the work on time. The work performed was done well and the only concern we had was that some of the field stones were small when walking on them. Debbie corrected that and installed larger field stones.
Description of Work: Twin City Landscape replaced our concrete front entry and a rear patio with pavers and also installed field stone in 3 walk paths areas. They cleaned out and replanted much of or landscaping and installed mulch.

In one word smooth is how the operation went. I like doing a lot of work by email. Debbie was ok with that. So we did some discussing of items this way. We met twice and worked out a plan. The first meeting we roughed out the extent of the project. I was impressed that Debbie offered alternatives to my ideas that were less expensive and more effective. ex. I initially wanted the front yard dug up and then replanted with new grass. Deb pointed out that we could obtain the same goal without tearing the yard apart. I mentioned some of the process above. On the day the work crew showed up, we went over the details one more time to make sure that we were clear about the project, cost and so on. The crew, which ranged between 4 and 8 people during the day were great and hard workers. The project was done in one day. We asked for care and feeding instructions for the Spring. I was surprised, Debbie said we did not need to worry, in the Spring some crew would be back to check on how things looked, make adjustments if needed and then they would fertilize the plants and bushes. So, the outcome surpassed my expectations, the estimate was the cost of the project, the work was done when it was scheduled to be done. I would definitely do business with Debbie and this firm again.
Description of Work: I had a very disorganized front yard. Parts of the yard sank where tree roots had died. A big maple tree had a box around its base that really looked crappy. I guess to summarize, my house had little to no curb appeal. At our first meeting I was very helpful in describing what I wanted "Make it nice." Debbie took that information and threw out a few ideas. I liked some didn't like others. She sent a drawing of her concepts with addresses of other yards that she had worked on. I saw one that was pretty close to what I visioned. Debbie sent out another drawing of a plan which I loved!! We decided to go with that. I had to pick out flowers, again I received a lot of help. The crew showed up, did the work, asked for an ok after the job was completed and the work surpassed my expectations!! Boulders were used to separate parts of the yard, dirt was put down and new grass planted to level the yard, 48 plants and shrubs were planted. I encourage you to drive by in the Spring and take a look!

We needed two retaining walls replaced. We liked the block that was used at another residence and we gave the address to Debbie who quickly identified the product and color. At the site visit, Debbie explained in detail what was to be done and answered our questions. After a few days, we received a written estimate over the Internet. The walls were removed and the excavations were completed in the first work day. The existing landscaping plants were carefully protected from damage during the construction of one wall. The entire project was successfully completed in about four work day equivalents, given that there was some unavoidable delay due to rain. The walls are very beautiful and are a significant improvement over the old walls, significantly improving the "street appeal" of the house. Justin and Alex did most of the wall construction, and the seeding and sodding. Justin, the crew chief, fully answered all our questions and we worked together on the location of a roof drain. Good communication was present during the entire project. Cleanup was prompt and complete. The work comes with an inspection next spring for any minor modifications that might be needed and the work comes with a three-year warranty.

Owner of company responded same day to my voicemail inquiry and we met within a few days to discuss the job. Had to reschedule work multiple times due to weather-related condition of sod, owner prompt in updates with reschedule. Crew showed up on time, very polite, professional, completed job in single day. Contacted owner with concern on grade of yard (uneven) as well as pavers not level on walkway. Scheduled re-work within days for the pavers, was told that sod would settle and that would resolve grading issue. Original crew came for re-work, just added sand under some of pavers - they confirmed no stakes/lines used during initial installation, used some stakes/lines for re-work. Next day, notices pavers still slanting toward low spot in lawn. Contacted owner, 3rd re-work scheduled. One member of crew arrived and used leveler, tools to measure grade. Paver walkway satisfactory - left extra sand in garden beds after I'd asked him not to. 3 months later, grade in lawn is still poor.
Description of Work: Entire backyard "scraped" of existing grass and re-graded. Chilten stone edging installed for perennial flower beds. Paver walkway installed from deck to garage. Remaining yard sodded. Quote details below: WALKWAY: INSTALL 2' X 2' NATURAL STONE STEPS SET FOR SOD TO GROW BETWEEN. BLUESTONE CUT TO CORRECT SIZE. NEED 18 PIECES: $1585.00 REMOVE EXISTING SOD AND GRADE ENTIRE BACKYARD; INSTALL 80 SQUARE YARDS OF SOD: $980.00. INSTALL 85 FEET OF CHILTON EDGER AROUND PERIMETER OF GARDEN AND SOUTH GARDEN AREA: $481.61 PRICE INCLUDES ALL MATERIALS; LABOR; DELIVERY; TAXES AND REMOVAL OF ANY EXCESS MATERIALS

Debbie's company did a terrific job on revamping our backyard. They created a work of art with our new patio utilizing our existing pavers. The project turned out beautifully. Everything was handled in a professional, friendly and timely manner. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend Twin City Landscape
Description of Work: Removed old patio pavers, cleaned them and rearranged them with flagstone interspersed to form a beautiful pattern. Graded our lot for drainage, edged and filled rock areas, planted shrubs and ornamental plants and installed an underground watering system. Erected cedar fence with Pergola. Sodded remainder of the yard

Overall, this company didn?t provide very good service. The original evaluation of the project and estimate were way off, they didn?t offer ideas or advice on options and they took a long time to complete the project. I originally called several companies to get estimates. All but Twin Cities Landscape said the old wall should be replaced. Twin Cities Landscape said they could rebuild it and fill in with new stone as needed. Their estimate was much less than the others and it would only take half the time. They couldn?t start for six weeks but the difference in price seemed worth the wait. Work started ok on Tuesday. They removed an old hedge on top of the wall, took down the existing wall and began digging the trench for the base. Work slowed on Thursday when only one person came to finish laying the base. They resumed the following week but after spending a day restacking the old stones decided that wouldn?t work. The old wall needed to be completely replaced. The cost of the additional materials increased the estimate by over 50%. A few more days were spent tearing down the wall again and rebuilding it with new stone. I wasn?t charged for the additional labor, just the materials. The project took 11 days instead of 3 (there was one rain day). It took an additional 3 days to finish putting some dirt behind the wall and adding a couple of stones I requested. I hadn?t been involved in selecting the stone that was being used to supplement the old wall during the rebuilding. The color didn?t matter because it was going to be placed at the bottom in the trench or interspersed in the old wall for highlights. When they decided to rebuild they asked if it would be ok to keep using this stone for the new wall. I was at work when they called and wanted to keep the project moving, so I agreed. I hadn?t paid much attention to the color but I trusted their judgment. This was a mistake because the stone doesn?t match the existing environment very well. The stone I had been shown by other contractors would have matched better. So, because I believed this company when they said the wall could be rebuilt I ended up waiting an extra 6 weeks to get the project done, paid the same price I would have with one of the other contractors and have a wall that I don?t really like.
Description of Work: I had an old retaining wall that was sagging and had loose stones, so it had to be repaired or replaced. I hired Twin Cities Landscape to repair it.

Both experiences went extremely well. Deb is a great communicator and kept in regular email or phone contact before and during the work. She used email the most and I appreciated the convenience of not have to catch each other on the phone. The start date changed due to the weather which was certainly understandable. The workers were very cordial and easy to understand. They cleaned up the driveway every night before they left, so that was a nice unexpected extra.

I thought their price was a little high, but I thought their work was good. They brought in a good plan and several workers to get the job done. They got everything done about a week ahead of schedule. We had a downspout that just empties into the ground, so they recommended an underground trench to drain the water throughout the yard, not just at the bottom of the downspout.
