TWIN CITIES GLASS BLOCK

Installed large block window looks great. Week later my wife was raking leaves near new window and cut her hand on shard glass from window that was removed. There were also wood remnants. Following day I was raking for Halloween party and found another shard. They should have told us the window broke on removal and be careful. We had small children for Halloween party and worried. All went well.

I got them a day earlier than expected. Worked out so well that I've just ordered another two panels.

We had a great experience with TC Glass Block. We are finishing the basement of our 1914 home and had three of the old windows removed and replaced with the glass blocks with vents. First contacted them on August 30th and got a quote that was reasonable so we scheduled the install. They were able to come out a couple days early and do the work, and by September 10th, we had our new windows! The total install took less than 2 hours, and the windows and surrounding cement work appear to be very solid. I would very much recommend TC Glass Block.

Mike and Sean did an excellent job. They were on time and completed the job in three hours, which was less than estimated. One window was difficult to get at but the finished window looked as good as the other six windows. Both men were pleasant and professional. I was impressed with them and the quality of their work. The price of the project was reasonable.

Great company to work with from start to finish. Not sure you can do better in price, especially considering the quality of the work. It took two guys about two hours to take out my old windows, set the new ones, and clean up. Not much more to say except the price was right, they did great work - and did it quickly - and my old basement looks 100% better.

I initially requested a quote through their website contact form, and received a reply with an attached price list very quickly, which was great! I then called the number listed on Wednesday the 9th to request that someone come out. They were closed, so I left a message. I got a call back on Thursday afternoon, the 10th. I think I spoke with Mike. He first asked me where I lived, and I said we were in Eagan. Mike then shocked me by saying "At this time of year, we really don't go south of 494" and proceded to hem and haw about if someone could come out, and when it would be. I got the impression that he wanted to decline the job, but didn't know how. He ended by saying he would call back either later in the day or the next morning. I have yet to receive a call back. Not impressed at all, will not be using even if we do get a call back!

Bath Fitters recommended Twin Cities Glass Block, Inc. to replace the bathroom window prior to the shower area remodel. I called 7/23/15 after the BathFitters consultant left and spoke with David Nelson at Twin Cities Glass Block, Inc. He asked germane questions regarding the type of existing window and BathFitters requirements. After calling to consult the BathFitter rep. I was able to answer the latter and enable David to ascertain what was needed. On 7/15/15 David came out to measure and provide an estimate of the cost. We discussed the glass pattern, air vent type and location, and disposal of the screen portion and I agreed to hire them for $475. I was provided with a list of helpful suggestions to make the installation go smoothly. On 7/30/15 David scheduled the installation for 8/18/15. On 7/13/15 Twin Cities Glass Block, Inc. called and informed me an earlier date opened and offered me that option. Consequently, the work was able to be rescheduled for 8/11/15. On 8/10/15 they called to remind me and called when the installers were en route. The installation was performed with a crew of two (Mike and Shawn) within about a half hour. They were organized, worked well as a team, and cleaned up. The shower remodel is completed and the new glass block window works well as part of that.

Mike arrived a week before install date to give an estimate. Very punctual (actually slightly early which was great) and provided a fee sheet for installation of glass block windows. On day of install, punctual arrival and tidy preparation for installation of windows. Team was very efficient in the removal of 4 traditional frame windows in my basement and one elderly glass block window that was deteriorating. Clean-up and debris was hauled away. Team installed 5 windows in approximately 2 hours. Neat, efficient, professional team. I would rehire if I ever need additional glass block services.

Came as scheduled, work was done very quickly and neatly by team of two installers. They took away the old windows and left everything clean and orderly.

He said that "if it were his home" he'd leave the original windows in place rather than take the chance of heaving or cracking. In another part of my basement, he actually suggested a masonry company to replace the window with cement blocks rather than glassblock (less expensive). Nice to have advice that placed my home's best interest above just getting a job.
